An excellent Street food market with a great vibe ...
An excellent Street food market with a great vibe and crowd. Definitely try the chef pop ups in the back for an opportunity to try Michelin star quality for a fraction of the price.

Overpriced, overhyped, ordinary food. It s essentially a good looking food court. Our meals were either mediocre or very disappointing, especially considering it is significantly more expensive than restaurants in the area. If you re looking for the market vibe go to Mercado de Campo de Ourique (highly recommended by locals). It s a 3 Uber ride but is significantly cleaner, cheaper, more relaxed with better food and atmosphere OR go to ANY restaurant nearby.
Good meeting place in central Lisbon, a market converted i to a food hall. Food choices to suit everyone.
Excellent food choices from several local chefs ranging from seafood to steaks at different price points so there is something for everyone. The only drawback is how crowded it gets at dinnertime so it's a victim of its own success.
Good selection of food but quite expensive and touristy. This is not the place for an authentic South African meal.
Traditional Lisbon dishes re interpreted by local chefs. Great atmosphere and very good options. Bring and empty stomach.
Very nice market with different types of cuisines from Portuguese to Chinese. Everyone can choose what they like the most. The place is very vibrant, loud and enjoyable. Some people were dancing when we were there. The food was really nice. We went with the local food and we didn't make the mistake. It was fresh , with local ingredients. Vary tasty. Also they have excellent wines that have reasonable price and I would definitely recommend to try them. Nice place to visit in Lisbon.
Brilliant food hall. Buzzy atmosphere. Great quality food and wide range of options. Great Lisbon experience!
Great palce to enjoy different kind of food from diferente culture
My friend wanted to go here and the description sounded promising - a huge market hall with lots of different kinds of food. I was picturing something organically developed, varied, interesting, and inexpensive. No. The reality is slick, corporate, and eye-wateringly pricey - especially for Portugal. The experience is like eating at the airport food court - bright and airy but loud, crowded, and hard to find a seat. Just unpleasant in every way and I'm sorry we wasted a meal here. So many tourists there, particularly families who I felt especially sorry for because it's not at all kid friendly. I have to wonder how it's being marketed in guide books to lure these poor people in. If you want Portuguese food you're much better off having a relaxing experience at just about any local restaurant. If you want "international" foods it's still a miss because there's nothing special, just pizza, noodles, sushi, and burgers, all readily available stuff.
Nice variety of food, can be very busy because it is good!
Typical foodmarket; all looked delicious but too expensive and no atmosphere. So in case I would try something I'd take it outside and eat it in the park or so. Inside ist rather dark and just loud. No cosiness but more hipster like, which is cool from time to time but not my personal flavor.
Worth a visit good food good prices great atmosphere
It's a one stop shop for a mini Portuguese experience. A huge food hall with a lot of hole in the wall restaurants. From authentic sea food to the famous Mantegeria Pastel de Nata, you get everything here. Perfect place for groups to hangout.
Good food and variety. However, the quantity/quality does not match the prices and I feel that this is more of a tourist trap than anything else. You can certainly find better in Lisboa.
Different choice of food. Friendly atmosphere. Clean...
Very nice restaurants with different and nice looking food. When you go through the lines you see many fantastic looking plates and you would like to try everything. But during lunch time and in the evening it gets very crowded, so it's noisy and there are not enough tables. We had to eat standing.
A must-visit destination for foodies. Only downside is that it gets very busy and sometimes it s hard to get a seat!
I ate an amazing chili con carne burger. Negative point : hard to find a place to sit.
Definitely desigend for tourists. Range of food is great, but prices as well.
Such fun. Very hectic but a great chance to sample different dishes from famous restaurateurs. Seating is all communal which wasn't appealing initially but we met a lovely couple who were doing a similar trip to us so it was quite nice in the end.
Loads of various food to order. Great place to meet people
Excellent choices of food to eat from different cuisines and a fruit and vegetable and fresh fish market next to the food side. Full meals or snacks
Liked it, cheap and great place to meet friends. Surprisingly clean and we'll maintained.
One of my favorite places in Lisbon. Time Out Mercado is a massive market filled with stalls of every kind of food/drink imaginable (and some by famous chefs). There's seriously a lot of choices here. Would recommend the pork belly (can't tell you which stall, but it's in the back) and the tuna tartar from Tartar-ia. Come hungry!
You can chose whateve you like. Vibrant and a very foodie place.
Burgers were too saulty though. But it is to my taste. I guess for most people they are the best.
Amazing, just can't go to Lisbon and not visit the TimeOut Market!
Amazing food. Some people say its a tourist trap, but what ever. The food is decently priced and tastes great. Ate here 3 nights in a row. Found it was harder to get a seat past 7pm. We came one night at 5 and had no problem.
Medium food served.
You would expect this kind pf place will serve hogh quality of fast food.
But it really felt like the food isn t great. There is a wide variety of fodd choises. But all look a like and low quality.
The vibe there is also uncertain feeling like nothing is happening and the vibe is not at is best.
I would go there just to pass by and maybe grab an ice cream - but nothing more than that.
It is also pretty far away from the city center...
Great restaurant choices. Hard to find seating if you have a larger group. We had 7 and we waited about 20 mins. Something for everyone. I liked the croquettes and of course pastel de nata. The eclairs were delicious too. We spent about 20 -25 per person.
Food haven with a wide variety of local and international delicacies attracting swarms of crowds daily.
Bustling and brimming with good food options, the hardest part of visiting TOM is deciding what to eat! The second hardest: finding a place to sit. We came at 4pm on a winter weekday and it was crowded; I'd hate to see what it would be like during the busy season and at mealtime! Get the tuna from Asian Lab, yum.
Always full of people (in a good way). Can't go wrong food wise as there's something for everyone. Stumble across this place by accident and I'm glad we did. If you are not sure what you've got appetite for - no brainer :)
An interesting place in that it still has the old retail market alongside a new food market. The choice of food to eat is good but not great but the building is amazing and this is well worth a visit
A great to stop by and try some of the best in the city at one location. Best to come off hours as it is a gong show in the evening and nearly impossible to find a chair. It is more expensive than going to other joints outside the market as it meant more for tourists than locals.
Was really looking forward to going there with a friend. The place is really nice, lots of choice and variety. However, we both got food poisoning the very next morning, terrible experience, will not be going back.
Don t be put off by the fact this has the Timeout name on it! It s packed full of local, independent restaurants that all sell the same stuff they do in their normal establishments. Incredible food, great setting and remarkable what Timeout has done to save this building. Only issue is lack of seating but then they re limited by the building so you can t know points off for that. Also, you can take food and drink outside to the park, if you do it surreptitiously!
Loved the business of the market and that you could try out some chefs food. I had a squid hot dog, mini roast beef sandwich, another beef item that were mostly good from different stalls. We were sitting with locals and many tourists like us.
A wonderful array of different foods and drinks from around Portugal. Stalls representing local restaurants and a great relaxed atmosphere.
Super crowded and touristy, but the food really is that good. We went twice and every time everything we got was incredible! Fresh, tasty and affordable. Make sure to look around to see all the options.
Great food but it's often hard to find a place to sit
Great place, we ate at a cozinha de felicidade and it was really nice, super tasty food and fair price.
Great selection of food, from typical Portuguese dishes to a more common pizza. The place is way too crowded and finding a seat is not an easy task
Some great food on offer here. Nice drinks as well. Lots to cater for all tastes. Maybe a little over commercialised now and over priced in places
Great food, great busy bustling atmosphere. If You dont mind large crowds, check it out. Its one of the must see places
I had octopus salad, seafood stew from Marlene Vieira, and fig with jamon from the charcuterie Manteigaria Silva. Octopus salad and fig were both very tasty. The seafood stew was too salty. The customer service at Manteigaria was poor. Nonchalant guy at the till who did not utter a single word. C'mon folks it's not that hard. Put some effort into it.
Super crowded most of the time, but still has a fun and vibrant atmosphere. Many options to choose from, all look really fresh and high quality. I recommend the dessert stand with french pastries
Awesome for foodies - can get really really busy so I would advise to go early. Wish we had time to go back again before the end of the trip.
If i had to choose one tourist trap in Lisbon, that would be it. Suposely you go there to find authentic portugese products and food. Sadly you are served frozen fish and seafood from who knows where, tasteles cheap ham, irrellevant deserts, etc. Probably your couriosity will lead you there, but definitely it is a place with no soul trying only to empty your pockets serving a lie!
The food here is totally overprices for what you get. There are so many nice little spots in Lisbon, so I see no reason to eat here.
Nice atmosphere, but food was average in 8 of the stalls I tried.
Great place to go if you cannot decide on one place for food. Nice vibrant atmosphere inside with lots of excellent and exciting choices.
The selection of food here is incredible and u can find almost anything u crave for, portugese, asian, american, seafood. Would have given a 5 stars if not for their prices. Afterall, u get michelin stars shops here, cant complain. Had their oysters at 2 of the shops.
Lots of different restaurants in a single concept market. Unfortunately almost no vegan options. I don't understand how this can be a good food concept by completely excluding certain preferences?
This place is excellent. So many restaurants and bars to choose from. Atmosphere was great.
A bit touristy but still awesome with some authentic old school stands
Amazing place. Cheap food. Great beer. A must to go.
Came here 4 times while we were in Lisbon. Great seafood and desserts! Also very friendly and helpful staff! Highly highly recommended!!!
Great place, super busy! Finding a spot to sit can be a pain but for all the different food options in one spot it s worth it. Everything is fairly pricey and it s all set up from restaurants around the city that have vendors in one spot. So you get a chance to taste a little bit of everything.
Perfect place to eat, if you have a big company with different tastes. Everyone can find something to eat here
Prices a bit higher than the common prices in Lisbon, but the dishes here like from the super-fancy chiefs. Everything looks just unbelievable.
Small advise about wine: yes, you can buy it at the restaurants at first. But than, you can buy a bottle at the wine shop 5 times cheaper and continue drinking (I hope you have your bottle opener with you every time at Lisbon?).
Amazing setup, everything under one roof. You can try out 60 year old Port!
Something for everyone. If you do not get a table at one of the small restaurants downtown or do not feel like eating late this is a very very good alternative.
Incredible. If you can't find anything to eat here you can't find it anywhere
It's mind blowing to see how this old fish market was converted to an upscale market.
It's a not to miss place in Lisbon
Great food, variety, price and quality!!!
Avoid if you don t like crowded places but know that you are missing out if you don t try it!!!! 10/10 would visit again
Great atmosphere and lovely food. Ground burger was so good! Must visit!
Visiting in January this market is the most amazing way to try different kinds of foods from selected chefs from time out. The communal eat area gives the market the most amazing atmosphere.
Must visit when visiting Lisbon for a lunch or evening meal.
This place is a mecca for any foodies visiting Lisbon. Some of the cities best restaurants all have a taster menus in this street food inspired market. I tried the Octopus from 'Kitchen of Happiness' and the croquettes from ...'Croquettes'. The highlight is undoubtably the Pasteis de natas from 'MANTEIGARIA'. These are incredible and over the course of 3 days i ate around 10, whilst taking back 20 with me.
Great food choices. Very very busy so you may have to wait a while for seats in peak time. A little pricey but good quality.
Worth a try. Not as cheap as expected. Don't pick up sushi
Fun place good food active people watching. Fun to meet others there
No a big fan of these new food markets style, none the less there are a few worthwhile shop such as Bettina chocolate and the pastel de nata
great selection of food, good vibes and I would love to go back there again!
Great and varied food. There's a lot of different foods for people to try, and all of it is delicious. Can be pricy depending on what you're looking to spend, although worth the price
If you like school dinner halls this is the place for you
Really nice market, lots of choice. Great service, really clean place.
Very cool atmosphere, it's crowded on the weekend but during the week there is a lot of space it's ideal if you want to just seat and study or something like that
Not worth going to.
Too many people and not an nice atmosphere.
Bit more pricey here however some good stalls here I tried tried octopus with fried chips and salad was really good, also had a steak sandwich in another stall, good to go once for lunch while in Lisbon.
It got too popular, and most staff is too stressed to sell food. There is no service, and seating is too limited. Some places have excellent food. Price is 10-20 euro for a plate.
