CN Heidelberg Review of Time Out Lisboa
My friend wanted to go here and the description so...
My friend wanted to go here and the description sounded promising - a huge market hall with lots of different kinds of food. I was picturing something organically developed, varied, interesting, and inexpensive. No. The reality is slick, corporate, and eye-wateringly pricey - especially for Portugal. The experience is like eating at the airport food court - bright and airy but loud, crowded, and hard to find a seat. Just unpleasant in every way and I'm sorry we wasted a meal here. So many tourists there, particularly families who I felt especially sorry for because it's not at all kid friendly. I have to wonder how it's being marketed in guide books to lure these poor people in. If you want Portuguese food you're much better off having a relaxing experience at just about any local restaurant. If you want "international" foods it's still a miss because there's nothing special, just pizza, noodles, sushi, and burgers, all readily available stuff.
