Great Christmas gifts for my Harley riding relatives in Germany.
Clothing sales associates were rude in general. The dealership had bags of Harley shirts for sale, a deal 3 for $60. However you couldn't see which shirts where in the bags. So I, like many people, opened the bag to look at what the shirts where inside. Let me be clear, the bags where not factory sealed bags, the shirts where in haley plastic shopping bags that where stapled together. After opening the sales associate told me that because you opened it that you'll have to buy it. If she was joking, it wasn't very well done because she looked stern as she said it. I handed the bag back and walked out. I refuse to spend a penny at this dealership going forward.
If you haven't already visited Thunder tower your missing out. They are truly a blessing. They are honest and stand behind the work .
Great selection! Friendly service and never intimidating or pushy as some dealers can be. I recently decided to switch from sportbikes to cruisers and the folks at Thunder Tower catered to my wants and needs. I was treated with respect from the moment I walked in here. Other dealers assumed that because I showed up on a BMW that I wasn't a serious rider and new nothing about HD. As an added bonus, the folks here treated my two kids to a first class experience allowing them to be involved in the entire process of buying our first HD. If you're thinking about a new Harley go see Paul.
Mack was a great salesperson, from phone contact to person-2-person. He was informative, professional, and had a laid-back personality. He was eager to offer suggestions, although most sales people are not confident in doing so, thus will only offer pros and cons. So, thanks from Andy & Trelle on the beautiful 2019 matte candy apple Road Glide and for making the experience such a smooth one!
My experience at this dealership was horrible. This dealership does not like competitive negotiating on their motorcycles
I came in to try and trade my bike on a new 2020 Road Glide they refused to offer me a deal on my bike unless they could see what the other Dealerships were offering and there attitude was you get your prices and we will meet or beat any dealerships PRICE. I went to 2 other dealerships and they were AWESOME and gave me prices the same day. Then I went back to THUNDER TOWER WITH THEIR OFFERS THAT I WAS PRESENTED WITH. GUESS WHAT THEY IGNORED MY PHONE CALLS ALL DAY SATURDAY THEREFORE I RODE UP ON SUNDAY TO SEE WHY I WAS BEING IGNORED THE SALEMAN TOLD THAT THEY DIDNT DO DEALS THAT THEY ONLY MADE $500 ON THEY WANT DEALS THAT THEY MAKE AT $4000.00 ON WHICH WAS BS BECAUSE I KNOW THEY WOULD MAKE AT LEAST $3000.00 ON MY TRADE IN. THE SALESMAN AND MANAGER WERE VERY ARROGANT AND THEIR ATTITUDES WERE UNBELIEVABLE . THERE ARE MANY DEALERSHIPS THAT WILL BEAT THEIR PRICES EASILY SO YOU NEED TO SHOP AROUND AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK
I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY AT THIS DEALERSHIP
Always great to drop in an check out the new bikes on display. We own a 04 Road King Custom, fixing to upgrade our bike and taking it to TT to do it!
We drop in often to check out the new items and have done so since the first day they opened. We enjoy when the owners are in-house and we get to spend a little time conversing with them. It's great having a Harley Davidson dealer so close to our home, especially since we've been owners/riders for nearly 40 years. That being said, it saddens me that this particular visit was a disappointment. As everyone knows, name brand of anything is not cheap and we, as consumers expect to feel important and listened to when entering any place to make a purchase. This particular day there was a young female working the clothing/jewelry counter. As I'm looking around I noticed another couple shopping. I'm a friendly person and will smile and speak to everyone. She asked me a question about an item and I attempted to answer, but like she had discovered herself, the item was not clearly marked. I told her she would have to ask the employee. She said she had been ignored since they had come into clothing. That surprised me, but I apologized as if I worked there and preceded to shop. At the counter, I noticed an item being purchased for collecting. When I inquired about them the employee spoke in a tone and with attitude as if I was the dumbest person she had ever met. I'm at least 30yrs her senior, so I feel I deserve respect for that if nothing else. Needless to say, I grab my husband and said time to go. No purchases to be made today. Because I truly like the owners, I hope they will make an effort to hire people that will greet me when entering their department and tell me if I have any questions or need anything to let them know, someone who is cordial, someone who treats the customer as though we are the most important person in the room and smile even when their day isn't going well. This was a first for me there and I did inform a young man in sales and he asked if I'd like to speak to her manager, but I declined because my attitude after was anger and I just wanted to leave. Although, it was pleasant speaking with the salesman who was very apologetic and appeared to care like a dedicated employee should behave. One bad apple will not stop me from shopping there again, but it cost them money that day.
They have different events going on at any time. I recently went to the Cinco de Mayo celebration and had a blast!!
Stopped in today and Harley Holmes helped us setup our new bluetooth headsets for our helmets. And Greg Watkins helped me find a phone mount for my bike that is going to work great. Everyone is always so helpful here! We stop in regularly just to say hello to everyone.
Ownership & management team stepped in and paid out of dealership funds to cover $4,000 repair work covered under the extended warranty despite the warranty provider's reluctance to honor the contract and repair the motorcycle in accordance with the warranty contract. Mad respect to Chris, Jimy, and Spencer.
Awesome dealership, great people and the best service department on the east coast.
Staff seemed uninterested in helping. Prices were higher than other dealerships. Was an average experience.
Very good experience with the salesman. He knows my situation and did not try and rush me into anything. Making sure everything is good to go before selling me anything.
Great staff, always with a smile and extremely knowledgeable
I very much enjoyed shopping at the gift shop area for my favorite Harley guys. The store is clean, well organized and spaced perfectly so it's not crowded. I picked up some great buys and the staff was super friendly.
Enjoy the atmosphere always enjoy myself when going there
Some of the folks are great ... Jimmy in service, Mike in parts. AAA+++ Others are less than worthless.
Might be a good dealership if you go in to the store but if you want to try and get numbers and deal with their "Internet sales" guy, don't expect professional dealings, unless telling a potential customer that disagrees with their prices that they are "cheap" is your kind of preferred experience. Sales Managers solution, come in and buy a new bike from him. Again, maybe good if you go in.
My first visit to Thunder Tower was great. I came out to purchase some gaskets for my 2004 Sportster. The gentleman at the parts counter was very friendly and got exactly what I needed. I felt very at home, unlike some other dealerships. My wife enjoyed the visit as well, picking up some clothing at the gift shop. They have a nice selection of new and used motorcycles as well. Overall great first impression. I will be back!
Its a nice place to visit, people who work there are good people too, nice showroom, parts section etc.
With that said I wouldnt want to shop for a bike there because of company polices out of the control of the workers.
1. Dozens of new bikes on the showroom floor yet a couple years ago they stopped putting the prices on the bikes, now to browse price and options on bikes, you need a sales person tagging along, I find this insulting and for this reason would not buy there.
Some time ago I mentioned to a sales person this new policy and he hinted that management feels if you need to ask the price, you cant afford it.
2. This spring of 2017 my wife and I were told/asked to not sit on the bikes without a salesperson present due to some bikes were damaged by people dropping them. I can understand that but it is the nature of the business.
3. Tower Harley is a great place to visit but I would personally buy elsewhere (and I did)
Love this place, though we been riding for 15 years me and wife took rider course and really learned some things. Waiting on our 2019 Road Glide Ultra to get here on 12-21-18. Go see Chris in sales and I promise he'll take care of you. And make sure to take rider course Brad, Rick and Skip will teach you how to improve and what you already know and show you some new things.
Always nice and professional. Best Harley dealer in the columbia area
The best Harley dealership on the south east. They have a great one on one relationship with their customers and great service and sales team. Big C , Mack "Macaroni" Miles, Dave , and Turbo and The Service Dept is top notch and always willing to help.
Sound Harley has very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great people to work with. Definitely make it a great experience.
Great service in all departments, friendly staff, and a wide selection of bikes and booked related items. Always a clean and relaxed environment.
They treat you like family and try there best to make the best deal for you and they value your trade in well.
Great buying experience, and had a good time at the Riding Academy. Great teachers.
Nice friendly and did what they said what they was going to do.
Just want to say I had a great experience with Tori & Christy at the Motor clothes Department :) they were patient, friendly, helpful and full of happiness. Even if you had small problems they will help you the best way they can and ends you a great day!
Bought my second Harley two weeks ago. Sales process was very easy and Mike in the parts department is extremely helpful with both recommendations for some upgrades and advice on parts. My next bike will be purchased at Thunder Tower.
Nice place with a wide selection of apparel and bikes
Great selection of bikes and parts. Top notch sales staff.
A destination stop if you need an excuse to fell the wind on a sunny afternoon.
Nice place, good variety of everything, and a really friendly staff.
The nicest no hassle straight to the point people to work with
I am honestly not sure why there are any good reviews of this place on here. I ve been riding bikes my whole life, but this was my first experience buying a Harley. First, I went in there knowing what bike I wanted. They did a better job on price than Augusta Harley so I figured it would be a slam dunk. Took the bike on a test ride, I was satisfied, and on we went to the finance guy. Didn t realize it at the time, but he ended up charging me $1414 for a one year extended service plan on a 3 year old bike with only 498 miles on it! Through extensive research, I ve come to learn that this was a total ripoff. Next, I went over to parts to get some new handlebars thrown on. Rather expensive but that s to be expected. From there, we went to service, where I was quoted at 8 hours of service, to replace handlebars. I m not a mechanic, but that seems a little extreme. I was never given a date that my bike would be ready by either. Having realized this the next day, I called in and was told that it be ready in 9 days. Okay. Frustrating, but okay, I understand that it is peak buying season and they are busy. However, I was assured that the bike would be ready on that day because They put aside the whole day for my bike and that They did me a favor by rushing my bike in. That magical 9th day rolled around and I woke up giddy, waiting for my bike. I didn t hear anything from them until about 2:30, and that was a call for me to approve $40 bushings that they forgot to mention initially. I approved it and asked if it would have to be ordered or not, to which I, once again, was assured that the part would not have to be ordered and that the bike should probably be done that day, if not, first thing the next morning. I asked the serviceman to give me a call around 4:00, as I live an hour and a half away, and would have to try to make it there before they close. 4:35 rolled around without a call so I called and inquired about the status of my bike. The response that I got is that they ran out of some type of pin (not the same part they mentioned before), it s on order, and now the bike will be ready in 5 days. I immediately requested to speak to the service manager. I explained to him how I was very disappointed in their customer service to which he responded, I understand you want someone to blame, but there really isn t anyone to blame. If you want to blame us, that s fine, but unfortunately these things happen when you are the #1 dealer in the southeast. He went on to explain that they are going through staffing issues and that they are very busy with all the bikes right now. During my purchasing experience, all I kept on hearing is that they are the #1 dealer in the southeast .I ended up picking up my bike on the 4th day instead of the 5th which was nice. However, the bike was not detailed and the handgrips that I ordered were not on the bike! The service guy said that they never came in. Then he told me to get a feel for the bike with the new handlebars, and they would install the grips on the next service. I politely alluded to the fact that I will never be coming back. Very unorganized, very unprofessional, and very disappointing. I will be dealing with Augusta Harley from here on out.
Much better than other place in town. Friendly staff.
My beginners motorcycle course was great. Instructor was funny and informative about experiences on the open roads. Good teaching method was down to earth and firm to the book, a great balance of both. Looking forward to the advanced class.
Kyle knows his stuff. Great customer service! Thank you! We will be back!
Good dealership, but the service department needs some serious help.
Beautiful motorcycles and a great crew running the place.
If u decide to buy a bike with them and ur sales person offers u your first service free in your deal, don't move before you get that free service because they won't reimburse you if you go to a different Harley dealership because you moved. That's not their problem. They'd rather u ride ur bike back up 500 miles to get your free service with them instead of just reimbursing you when u get it done at a dealership closer to where you live because you moved over 500 miles away. Boo thunder tower. You suck.
Didn't know advice was 90$ per hour won't be taking my Harley to them !!!!! Capital city cycle the shiznik
Love going to the Thunder Tower. My husband and I have been to a lot of Harley Shops and this one is our favorite. Every time we are in town we stop by even if we don t buy anything it s just to see Tori Willis. She is the best. Great Service.
They are great people to work with. Top notch sells team. Would recommend them to anyone
Apparently they are short handed in the service department at this time.
It was one of nice dealer stores that we stopped by to look around and get shirts & pokerchips... Gift shop staffs were really nice & friendly. They have varies of t-shirts with old Panhead & Nuckelhead.
Nice outside event area & playground.
Others service & sale dept, we didn't care much... Nobody came talked to us while we were looking at all the bikes. They were Not even say hi or bye when we walked by orin and out, they just looked...(like... Oh..not my regular customers)
I can say they don't have any old bikes or any Harley historical bike show at all. All I saw just pictures on the walls like others that can just print it out... Nothing really unique about the store.
Ordered parts for an older Road King. Parts staff were knowledgeable and super helpful.
Awesome shot lots of beautiful bikes plenty of apparel Personnel is most professional well worth stopping in
Serious buyer received no service what so ever! My girlfriend and I walked in and was not greeted nor asked what we were looking for! I get race tensions are high but never would I expect that!!! When we walked out...we were told..."have a nice day"...do not waste your time there!!
This was by far the most unfriendly atmosphere. Looked at all employees and walked around without a single one greeting us. Sales manager was in office with lights off. Very unwelcoming. Never been to a Harley Davidson dealership that this would fly in.
Meagan was an awesome salesperson! Everyone was friendly just the way we like it!
The best dang Harley deal-stership in the whole wide world!!! Picking up number three this morning. Shon is the man!!..
Chris Preston and Jeff Miles made my experience with Thunder Tower the best I have ever had at a dealership. They are very knowledgeable, and treated me with much respect making my time with them very enjoyable. I am proud to be welcomed into the Thunder Tower family, and my Fiancee and I
look forward to spending time there. I drive an hour and 45 minutes to get there, and will continue to do so...I HIGHLY recommend Thunder Tower Harley-Davidson to All..you won't be disappointed.
