We drop in often to check out the new items and have done so since the first day they opened. We enjoy when the owners are in-house and we get to spend a little time conversing with them. It's great having a Harley Davidson dealer so close to our home, especially since we've been owners/riders for nearly 40 years. That being said, it saddens me that this particular visit was a disappointment. As everyone knows, name brand of anything is not cheap and we, as consumers expect to feel important and listened to when entering any place to make a purchase. This particular day there was a young female working the clothing/jewelry counter. As I'm looking around I noticed another couple shopping. I'm a friendly person and will smile and speak to everyone. She asked me a question about an item and I attempted to answer, but like she had discovered herself, the item was not clearly marked. I told her she would have to ask the employee. She said she had been ignored since they had come into clothing. That surprised me, but I apologized as if I worked there and preceded to shop. At the counter, I noticed an item being purchased for collecting. When I inquired about them the employee spoke in a tone and with attitude as if I was the dumbest person she had ever met. I'm at least 30yrs her senior, so I feel I deserve respect for that if nothing else. Needless to say, I grab my husband and said time to go. No purchases to be made today. Because I truly like the owners, I hope they will make an effort to hire people that will greet me when entering their department and tell me if I have any questions or need anything to let them know, someone who is cordial, someone who treats the customer as though we are the most important person in the room and smile even when their day isn't going well. This was a first for me there and I did inform a young man in sales and he asked if I'd like to speak to her manager, but I declined because my attitude after was anger and I just wanted to leave. Although, it was pleasant speaking with the salesman who was very apologetic and appeared to care like a dedicated employee should behave. One bad apple will not stop me from shopping there again, but it cost them money that day.
