The Zon Residences and Park Kuala Lumpur Review

There's a lot of non-stop halal cuisine here, but there's a bit of noise everywhere. :)

I dont like everything about this place. From the reception to the housekeeping staff to the restaurant staff

I've been to the Zon plenty of times with my family in the late 1990s and early 2000s when it was first named Suitestay and then rebranded to the Zon when it changed owners. It has held many fond memories for me so I decided to come here after 16 years with the intention to relive those memories but was disappointed when i found that the only updates in the hotel were the living room floor and closing off the kitchenette.

The check in took a very long time. There were 4-5 staff behind the counter but only one was doing the check in process while the rest hung around chatting.

I took a two bedroom apartment and only one out of the three aircons was working -- the one in the living room, despite the maintenance team topping up gas for us upon our complaint. The bedrooms were so stuffy that the whole family decided to sleep in the living room.

To make things worse, there was a strong stench that we had to take matters into our own hands and bought our own air freshener so that we could breathe comfortably.

The door frame in the toilets were broken and the wood was rotting. The main door's latch was hanging loose and anyone could have entered our apartment easily if the power went out.

There were a variety of channels but there was so much static and white noise, it might as well be switched off.

The staff who took my in room dining order was rude and called me again, asking me to repeat my orders despite repeating my orders during the first call I made. When the food came, no cutleries were given to eat the coleslaw salad. The food was great, but not up to the standards before.

I believe that the management can and should update the building with airconditioning and lifts overhauls for the hotel to see more glory days in the future.

Terrible during holiday seasons. Breakfast looks like refuge camp during peak time.

Old but strategic located in the middle of KL. Didn't get to enjoy the swimming pool because it was raining when I was there.

Book their apartment and it is a bit out dated..sofa and bathroom doesn't look very clean. Rooms look like a budget hotel. Always stay here when come to kl since 1996 when the hotel name is different.
They do not do any changes back then till now so u can understand how outdated it was.

The staffs are friendly & helpful. Love the hospitality shown by the staffs. Definitely feel like at home there.

Comfortable hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Behind the Petronas Tower. Beneath the mosque is adem, the sound of adzan is very soft.

The location is good, but, in general, the hotel is "very used", the furniture is gnawed, the upholstery on it is dirty, the air conditioners roar and are poorly controlled, there are no remotes for them. It looks very moving bullets from TV attached by a spring to a table or wall . The shower is so-so, the watering can is broken. In short, the hotel clearly knew the best of times and 10 years ago it was quite worthy, but now it is time for him to retire, well, or to upgrade.
Yes, for pool lovers - the size in the photo does not convey reality! In fact, this is a tiny little pond!

Close to KLCC, Asy Syakirin mosque, Avenue K etc. Weekend parking and after 6pm only at RM3. Spacious hall and room. Accessible from Jalan Ampang and Persiaran KLCC

The suite room first like 5star hotel but later with some place need improvment like the cleaness, also the hot water also not so much already finish turning cold, staff, and i have disapointment when book with traveloka didnt say must deposit Rm.100+tax 20. I tought usualy price traveloka already include tax why the charge tax again but the recieipt they give me is 0 for thr tax

Great budget hotel, close to Ampang park subway station, and KLCC.

Good place for city vacation the place is old, value for money

<br/>Check in to the hotel at around 3pm. I booked 2x 2 bedroom suite as im travelling with a family of 8 people and we need kitchen to cook for my baby too. Now here are the problems/disappointment i faced.<br/>1) rooms very smelly. They smell of dirty moist carpet. Which made my baby sneeze a few times every minute. <br/>2) one of the kitchen door is locked. Eventhough we booked 2 same suites, the hotel front counter said because of some hotel policy, one of the room's kitchen have to be locked. <br/>3) Aircon not working.<br/>4) No hot water. <br/>5) One of the TV does not work. <br/>6) Toilet/bathrooms looks scary with water damage on the bottom of the doors. <br/>7) Outdated furniture. Yes outdated. I stayed there before in the 90s when the hotel was named Travelodge and Centra. All the furnitures and hotel/room design are still the same. Even the exterior paint of the building.<br/>8) Bumps and lumps all over the floor. I seriously thoughy the floor is going to collapse.<br/>9) Rooms seriously look like a horror film. Feel goosebumps every time Im alone in the room or toilet. <br/>We called the front desk for no. 3, 4 and 5 problems and they said they will send a technician to our rooms to fix the problems. But after 20mins, still no show. Call again and the front desk said they already informed the technician and will infm them again. 10 mins later still no show.<br/>Went down to the front desk and ask to change to a better room but said they got no other room. And after a family discussion, we decided to check out after 30 mins stay. <br/>When we were checking out, miraculously, the front desk offered to change our rooms. ( Thought they said no other rooms available).<br/>But nope, sorry. We dont want to spoil our holiday. We rejected the offer and check in to other hotel instead. <br/>* We contected Agoda regarding this stay and queried if we can get some refund. We were told by Agoda that during our checking out process, the hotel staff told us that there will be no refund. But honestly, that did not happen. Hotel staff did not say anything regarding no refund. My father is my witness. He was there with me. Im sorry but the hotel staff is a liar. <br/>Overall experience made me feel like the hotel is scamming us. Was charged $400 for 2 nights stay but was given rooms that was unbearable. Plus no refund was given.

Ideal location near to many amenties however unfriendly, unprofessional staff & run-down hotel building, facilities did not allow to enjoy the stay. It seems cleanliness and security were not the hotel's priority. Stained flooring, bedsheets and broken showerhead, bidet were ignored upon highlighted. The door locks were not secured and anyone can open from outside through the kitchen side which took away our sleep at night.It was extremely contradictory to our experience in Johor Bharu The Zon! Overall, will not recommend or book this hotel again!!

A good hotel and cheap, near city center, big room, but unfortunately the carpet is smelly, the hot water onky working 1 night for my 3 night stay.

If you want to KL you really want to stay here again ... spacious rooms, nice breakfast, and friendly service ...

The room is spacious, but it's a bit worn out, the servise is decent, the receptionis is not friendly, it uses Malay glasses.

The atmosphere in the room is quite good, for breakfast quite complete and tasty

Near KLCC and quite cheap compare to others in the vicinity.

The apartments are suitable for families, close to the towers 10 minutes walk, and close to the metro station

I thank you for the second visit I also have a very nice room, newly refurbished. Surely, I will come back again in a future visit. Keep it up.

Comfortable enough for a few days. Only real complaint would be the amount of construction happening around it means there is constant noise.

Easy access to KLCC, Petronas Twin Tower, and KLCC Aquaria. Good interior at executive room with quite reasonable price.

This is my first hotel in Malaysia, but this hotel doesn t provide toothbrushes as default amenities, so always call the receptionist to ask for them.

Very nice photos in their website; but in reality, rooms are very old. Something or the other is not working in every single room. Front desk people were very helpful; but they don't own this hotel,and thus can't do much. Stayed for six nights and could not sleep for a single night. Large constructions are going around. The entire night you could hear trucks reversing or unloading. When i booked, nothing was mentioned.
Hard to rate their bfast (rather no negative stars available to give). For half the price, you can find better hotels around. We were just tricked by their website!!! I would award 5 stars to their web designer!!!. My sincere advise; if you are paying from your pocket, better look for alternatives like Four Seasons or the one across the road.

The strength of this hotel is its nearness to Suria KLCC.

Most dirty place seen in Malaysia. Very old furniture. To be totally renewed.

Super big suite with 2 rooms for a bargain. Can easily sleep 6 adults if you'renot too fussy about the dated interior design.

The rooms are big, but rundown. The interior is circa 30 years old, just the carpet, the bathroom and the TV are newer. But it was clean and the breakfast was good. Due to the condition, it is more a 3 star hotel than a 4 star house. And for the same price you can book a luxury apartment on AirBnB with a useful concierge. The reason why I give one star, is the taxi scam at the end of my stay. I asked the concierge to call me a taxi. An dirty ugly man with a scrappy car (fits the hotel) took care of me and after waiting a while he came around and asked for 60 ringgit (normal price with a much better budget taxi was 8 ringgit, with a premium taxi 16 ringgit). I refused to drive with him and saw a licensed taxi just some meters behind him, but there was no possibility to ask the driver. The ugly man scared him away and called a friend. His friend with a bus arrived some minutes later, just 40 ringgit for a whole bus. I accepted the ridiculous price just to escape the ugly man.

Comfortably furnished. Satisfied. Very near to klcc. I walk there with my friends . when going back its raining. We thought it not gonna rain. We reach our hotel with wet vlothes and shoes. But the facilities in hotel is superb

Good place to spend time with family. But the facilities not in good condition, the refrigerator provided not working at all. Should be improved.

The breakfast is very good and the service is very pleasant, but there is one of the elevators that sways

The location very strategic to nearest city centre. The staff very helpful and polite to help us if we have any inquiries. Room is really spacious and it's suitable for kids to stay.

Alhamdullillah, its very strategic place, near the klcc mosque. Comfortable and spacious room.

Came here for an event at the hall and was rather disappointed at how poorly maintained the area was. I also got lost and the staff seemed to have no interest in helping me get to where I needed to go. The hall had an odd smell which I can only describe as somebody's body odour in it. Overall it let me down.

This hotel has very spacious rooms, there is a bedroom and a TV room, but the model is old, the breakfast is pretty good, but because the room is old it doesn't feel good even though the food is good.
There is a hotel there is a construction, maybe in 1 year it is still a construction process.
Access to grab is difficult, bringing in a grab is difficult because the directions where the entrance is not clear, this may be due to a construction that is not available so that access is not through normal access

The hotel looks a bit old , but the location is good, near klcc. Breakfast is good.

Affordable, large room. Construction nearby is a downside to the hotel. New hotel next to KLCC has blocked the view of the twin tower from the hotel. Overall nice hotel for the price

A good hotel close to KLCC not so far and there is a beautiful / nice mosque near a very spacious hotel room that is quite complete, there is a chicken curry menu that I like full facilities, also very good friendly service with upgraded keroom that was ordered 1 room the room was given 2 rooms free which was more extensive. thank you staff THe zon All Suites residences i will visit again.

Not gonna visit again. It's old, unlike what was advertised. And service was slow.

The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, good food, the location is a bit far if walking from the LRT station, it is rather noisy because there is construction in the next building

Cheap hotels in the city center, spacious rooms, old-fashioned rooms, near Petronas Twin Towers, many culinary places near the hotel. Cheap & strategic reasons are the reason for choosing this hotel.

Your staff are not cooperating at all. I call twice to ask for deposit and booking. They said minimum is RM100 but then they said they cant accept that minimum amount of deposit. How come ? Worst management ever.
