Haimer had great entertainment for its customers...enjoyed
Walls are paper thin. Had 4 people in the room merely talking with no music or tv at 11pm and got two Boise complaints and then the hotel tried to charge 500 dollars. I'll stay away from all Hilton's for now on
Great location and amenities however valet is extremely pricey
We went for a very quick last minute trip to Chicago and stated here. Literally from the minute we arrived every staff member was awesome! I need to specifically mention Jesus... He loaded all our things onto a care and took them upstairs and unloaded then for us even though we weren't valet. He then took the time to tell us about places to go and where to park! He let us know the best times to go to the roof with the kids and the best places to eat! Such an awesome welcome! Checking in was so easy!!!! (The fresh warm amazing cookies helped ) I was even able to text, yes text, the front desk and get a late check out. The hotel even sent me a text before I even got there to make sure I knew to arrive at a different door due to construction and sent me a text the day after I checked out to thank me for my stay. I normally find the cheapest place to stay while traveling so I can spend more elsewhere, but this hotel hands down was one of the best ever!!! And perfectly located!!! Thank you so much! We will definitely stay again
Went to grab a couple dribks and had to pay a $20 cover per person. Nice place but very pricey.
Went for a few drinks for happy hour on a Friday. It was ok. Place seemed a bit run down to me.
Great location and nice room. The gym was tiny but that's my only real complaint.
From the moment you walk into the hotel you'll notice a very beautiful smell. There are some changes due to covid-19 however the cleanliness of the hotel rooms are just above and beyond. I definitely recommend downloading Hilton Honors App. Everything you'll need will be on there. Checking in/out, digital key to your room, plus more. You won't ever need to go to the front desk, It's really amazing.
The location is perfect, everything is walking distance. The view from the rooms are just spectacular.
I stayed in a King Junior suite, It has been my favorite by far mainly for it's amazing soaking tub and ceiling to floor windows.
There's many options for parking at very nearby locations within a minute walk If you decide not to get a valet from theWitt.
I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice mini get away for the weekend, business trip, or just about anything really. Love Love theWitt!
The room we were in was very small for our group size.
Great hotel with happy hour wine in the lobby and a goldfish for your room. Great Chicago Loop location with views of the City. Very nice rooms and bathrooms. Parking can be expensive, but overall, a good place to stay in Chicago.
African Americans, if your looking to get discriminated against, this is the perfect spot for you! Never again. I was a guest staying at this hotel for one night only in celebration of my birthday. I went to a booze cruise near navy pier and decided to go to the rooftop before I went up to my room. I was turned away because the was a private party . Then because of a dress code I clearly exceeded. Meanwhile a young group of girls wearing dirty chuck taylors behind me we let up without hesitation. Also because I didn t have reservations and there was. So many different reasons as to why I couldn t go up. After the treatment received I no longer cared to go up to the rooftop or stay at the hotel. I checked out and never plan to check in again.
Good location. Clean and modern, but rooms are pretty Average. Not as nice as they appear in pictures on the hotel's website.
Wonderful hotel. If I could give a 6 star review I would. For starters the staff is so welcoming and helpful. My girlfriend and I had never been to Chicago and the staff provided excellent recommendations and even helped out with the little things. The employees are kind and seem to really care about your experience. Great location our view was beautiful.
Very upset will not be going back. We booked a room through Expedia weeks to prior staying, when we checked in, we came to realize that there was no tub in our room only a shower. The reason why we booked that specific rooms as because we wanted to enjoy the tub and awesome view. When we went downstairs with the staff to clarify the mistake of the room
they told us it was the third party's mistake which is Expedia, that sometimes the rooms change which makes no sense if we payed and booked for a room with tub. They told us they could not do anything, and we even asked if we could at least upgrade and pay the difference and they said there were no rooms available. Horrible experience, they didn't even try to help us to get a room, the only thing they offer us was a $25 voucher. Will definitely not be going back.
Went for a business dinner. The vibe was more clubby than expected, but the food was surprisingly good. Drinks were pricey but also tasty and not light on the booze. I would go back again for the food, but probably not for the club. Would like to see the retractable roof opened up one day.
Too broke too go my I d was stolen 14 years
Ago I did mention the wit hotel back then they got my babymomma
I actually tried checking in at like 7am and of course the rooms weren't ready yet, but the lady at the front desk called me when they were, at around 11am. The rooms where really nice and the roof top lounge/bar was pretty amazing. Tried one of their sushi rolls and it was one of the best I've had. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
No complains here
Amazing food!! I'm a vegetarian and it was delicious!! We were just walking by and just stopped in. Highly recommend!!
King Spa room had an amazing view of the Chicago River. Right next door to Chicago Theatre.
The service was beyond exceptional and the view from our room was gorgeous.
My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Chicago for my birthday. He booked The Wit and we loved it! Adam and Robert at the front desk assisted us with all of our needs - they were both very friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded to a suite, which had amazing views of the city and plenty of space. Everything was clean and orderly. The hotel was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do - great location! Overall, we loved our stay/experience here and wished we had stayed longer!
I only went for lunch but the lobby was really nice and the staff was friendly. Lunch was great and our waiter was super nice and made great recommendations of food and drinks.
Great Hilton property downtown. Modern, sleek and conveniently located. Really great staff.
Love the Wit stayed over night party on the roof top live entertainment on the 1st floor lounge called State Street
Buyer beware. Booked this hotel for Lollapalooza, we couldn t be there at time of check in, (we were 2 hours away), our daughter was there ahead of us, who will be 21, October 1, was told she couldn t check into the room. The room was in her name. We didn t want her to miss performances she planned to go to, so we were forced to find another hotel. We were charged a $280 cancellation fee, because the front desk manager (Nicole) was not accommodating at all. We have NEVER had an issue with any of our daughters checking into a hotel because of age. We are Hilton Honors Diamond members. We went to The Palmer House, and they were much more friendly and accommodating. It is not clearly posted about the age restriction. On some booking sights it is not mentioned at all. I think the front desk manager could have handled this differently. Not a happy customer.
Great hotel! Nice big rooms and the rooftop bar is awesome!
The room was great. The staff was very helpful and accommodating even on a busy holiday weekend. Anything we needed was taken care of immediately.
Customer service is friendly and efficient. The rooms are wonderful! The pillows are the best I've ever slept on! We will definitely be staying here when we visit Chicago in the future!
Very hospitable, took care of a special request. Thank you Gerardo!
Customer service was great, breakfast was delicious and quick
My experience was absolutely horrible! I waited in line for over an hour to gain access onto the rooftop bar. The security guards were not communicating anything with the people outside. Horrible customer service and I will never return and never recommend this place to anyone!
The Roof provided a beautiful spring venue for our work event.
Stayed here for a wedding and our room was beautiful. Staff was incredibly friendly. I would absolutely stay here again.
Stopped at the bar for a cocktail and dinner before a show at the Chicago Theater. Great specialty drinks on the menu. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Cozy bar.
Room was clean, the views where awesome, and the staff was friendly.
Great vibe and excellent service considering how busy it gets!
rude staff manager should be fired l called hilton told me the incidental fee would be 50$ l get there they say 125$ a night then the manager comes out and says ok 75$ a night he said all of sudden they raised the rate strange when l get there my card was over charged very unprofessional unwelcoming staff so l left a day early and went to a different hotel with a balcony microwave and convenience store yes the Marriott!! the Wit isn't worth the money no soda machine ice machine no ammenties at all the young male staff members needs a attitude adjustment and classes on customer service
Great hotel. Got upgraded to a suite that was amazing. Very convenient for staying downtown after seeing a show. Very good views from the room.
I normally never write reviews for places unless they really go above and beyond what I expect from a business. From start to finish the staff at the TheWit Hotel made us feel important and showed they cared. From giving us cookies checking in, to sending us personal text messages to ask if we were ok. We asked if we can get a higher floor and 20 minutes later we were at the very top floor. Honestly the best customer service I have ever had. The view was incredible. The room was really comfortable. The hotel Bar was top notch. I only wish there was some other way to really make sure the staff at the hotel is recognized for being so accommodating and friendly. Truly some great people at the front desk. Will 100% stay here again and looking forward to next time.
Fun downtown rooftop bar! Themed, fun drinks (St. Tropez when we went, with tequila drinks served in hollowes-out pineapples) and cool views of the city. Relaxed atmosphere, self seating. Definitely a fun downtown experience!
Beautiful hotel with a fantastic location. Staff was courteous and friendly. ...and we got a fresh, warm cookie on arrival!
Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean nice room
Went to the rooftop bar and ordered a drink. Service was decent, though not as friendly as it could have been. The server didn't smile at anyone in my party.
Everything was great but the very frequent loud emergency sirens woke me a few times. I wouldn't have thought it would have been so loud 16 floors up but it was
There was no free WiFi but the room was really nice and the staff were super friendly. Also the free cookies are always the bomb.
Music selection by dj needs to be of danceable songs. many of the popular songs are not danceable. Also very difficult with mismatched song genres during transition
Locatd at the corner of State and Lake, The Wit is located in a good area, near the L train, river, multiple restaurants and bars. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was great and so was the service overall. My only complaint was we could never visit the Roof Top bar because it was always closed for private events. I picked this location over other Chicago area Hiltons because we heard the bar was great.
Front dest and concierge services were good also.
This was the second event I have attended at the Wit. The space and staff are nice enough, but both events had very strict/awkward cash bar ticket systems, with prices that didn't match the offerings. I have never stayed as a guest
Very nice, new (or newly updated) hotel. Great service, pricy but not out of control. Parking is a nightmare but that's Chicago I suppose!
Cute atmosphere, persian chicken was amazing as well as strawberry ice cream
Loved it here! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean and comfy
Favorite hotel in Chicago. Great location, beautifully decorated, very friendly service.
Perfect location, nice staff and rooms. It has a rooftop in the 27th floor.
Location was great, near everything esp mass transit.
Staff was great, food at bar pretty tasty and reasonable
Great property with convenient location. Top notch friendly service.
Nice boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago
Rooms were nice clean and the view was great. The rooster playing over the speakers in the hallway was a little much at 7am on a weekend.
The service was great, the people were friendly, and they view was breathtakingly spectacular
We had an awesome stay! Everyone made us feel like family.
I read that theWit Chicago was suffered damage while violence erupted in the city 2020. theWit is innocent, like all the businesses that laid helpless those dark nights. May God bless them, and all, with peace, warmth and ease.
My daughter and I had the most wonderful experience at The Whit. We were only in Chicago for one night to see "The Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles". The show was fabulous, but our stay at The Whit was like I've never experienced. The staff is outstanding from the beginning to the end. The cookies were a special touch. yet, in all honesty it's the staff that made us feel so special; that includes everyone from the reservations I made by phone, the wait staff.....everyone! Thank you so much for such a grand experience. I felt like a queen!
Great people working here and the rooms are very nice.
Great hotel, Great location, close to the river or millennium park. My room was nice; I picked it out myself using the app and I chose a room along the side of the hotel. It was the same side as the train. I was on the 10th floor and could hear it most of the night. I'm sure the other side of the hotel would have been better. My room did have a lot of windows, which was great.
Fitness center was large and had cool views of the city. Spa area was neon pink, which was weird.
