The rooms are wide and beautifully furnished, with a comfortable desk and a clean and large bathroom with a large counter space. The dining room is excellent, with a variety of various dinner themes. Overall, it's a wonderful experience staying at this hotel!

The Wit was there perfect location to be right in the city. Everything was nearby and in walking distance. The breakfast was great. They honestly have the best croissant I've ever had. The rooftop bar was nice. The service was amazing. The valet went to our car to get a few things for us. The oatmeal cookies at the front desk are the best, nice and warm.

The suites are nice and comfortable. The rooftop bar has a nice ambiance but all of the cocktails we ordered (a total of 4 different flavor cocktails) came out extremely bitter, we ended up abandoning the drinks and having dessert there instead. Parking is expensive but the location is amazing. When we asked for extra sheets the sheets that they sent smelled very strongly of vinegar and we could not use them. The staff was very helpful and quick to rectify any issues and we had a generally good experience.

We complained several times about the heat in our room to no avail, but after I got pretty upset by my 82 degree room someone finally brought up a 5 dollar P.O.S. box fan that barely moved any air. It was only 85-90 degrees out at the worst that day but the heat lingered in our room all night long. Neither myself, nor my significant other got much sleep due to the heat. The room was also much smaller than it appeared on the website, but that is always expected. The food that we ordered from room service was honestly amazing for what it was and the staff(besides the heating issue) were extremely friendly and helpful.

==Would I stay there again?==
During the summer, NO!
During the winter, yeah I would do it.

==Would I meet a friend who is staying there just so I could order room service food?==
Yeah, probably.

I gave 3 stars just because of the food and the staff. If you are looking to stay at this hotel, I'd say go for it as long as you aren't staying when it is going to be 80 or warmer in Chicago during your stay.

A very nice hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago. Has a nice lobby with spacious rooms. The hotel is very very close to every CTA train line so getting around will not be any problem. Also very close to all the best theaters (Cadillac, Oriental, and Goodman). showing some great shows. It's also steps away from the riverwalk which is a must see.

1/2 star. I was one member of a group of 6 who were meeting up at the bar on the Saturday night of The Festival of Lights in Chicago. Two of us arrived at 5 pm. Though the bar was relatively empty we were told that since we did not have reservations we could sit at a table until it was needed for a reservation at 6 pm. Once our party members arrived we ordered drinks. At about 7 pm a supervisor came over and told us we had to leave the table because it had been reserved. We said we had been seated knowing the table would be needed at 6 pm but no one showed up. The supervisor repeated the fact that we did not have reservations so we could sit at the bar, stand or leave. We asked why we were not offered a reservation when we arrived at 5 pm? The supervisor did not have an answer and repeated his request for us to vacate the table. We asked for our tab, settled and left!

I stayed just before Christmas, sorry it took so long to post :(.. it was my first trip to Chicago. Chicago people are super friendly and the service in that city is amazing. I stayed at The Wit because of the location was so conveniently located and easy access to everything. But the best was the guest relation staff Eric his energy and passion on helping hotel guest was more the 5 star !! He can help with anything and he would go out of his way to get your questions answered. My husband and I wanted to experience our first Chicago Bears game and it was so last min he called around to give us an idea on ticket prices. We did go and the BEARS WON!! Overall the room we stayed in was very nice and clean. We stayed in the Paramount Suite very spacious and amazing view of the city!!

The venue was really pretty , the staff were helpful and made the event run smoothly. I was surprised at how fast the elevators ran and how kind and respectful everyone there was. The area was spacious and had a scenic window view. I would definitely recommend this place as a venue to others.

It was awful, the suite was very nice. Serval guest in the hotel were kicked out for talking to loud in the room. We had no loud music, no drugs and they kept coming to the room about loud talking. Just friends having a good time. They're too strict, don't waste your money. My friends and I have been to serval hotels and never had a problem like this. They're much better hotels that doesn't kick you out for talking. There were serval guest outside with the same issue. This hotel is a rip off and wack. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!!! Horrible experience!!!

I would give a negative starts if I could. Management/Sales are one of the worst i have seen for HILTON. Being a DIamond Member, I have never seen us unprofessionalism and so un commodeting place. Stay at the HILTON GARDEN OR HAMPTON AROUND THE CORNER for better treatmet.

Nice place with a pretty good location. The best feature was the staff: very pleasant and helpful. The second best feature was the theme: humorous decor and things that make you smile such as bird noises in the hallways. The worst feature was the paid internet.

We stayed here while attending Lollapalooza this past summer. The staff welcomed us with smiles and we even got a warm cookie while checking in. The rooms were comfortable and the prices are resonable. Guests get a free entry to the Rooftop Club which is rated as one of the best nightclubs in the whole world. I will be staying here everytime I visit the city from now on.

Parking is $65 valet off site so save yourself $20 and park just next door in the ramp for $45 and you can go back to your vehicle if you forgot something in the car. Hotel staff was very nice. We were traveling with two minors and a sitter; the rooftop bar was recommended to us as 'kid friendly' but we stopped up to check it out and in the nicest possible way the staff steered is elsewhere. Walked to the nearby Elephant and Castle and had a nice dinner.

I always have a nice stay at theWit. The breakfast in the restaurant is exceptional and the rooms are nice. It is well-situated for shopping, attractions like the Art Institute or Chicago Cultural Center, and the other museums. Plus, it has great El access. I am partial to Hilton properties since I am Honors Gold, but I constantly pick theWit when I need a hotel over other Hilton brand properties and other hotels in Chicago. I have stayed there at least 5 times- more than any other Chicago hotel, so they must be doing something right, if I keep coming back.

We sprung for a Jr. Suite - great kitchen amenities, clean, modern and comfortable just as we'd hoped. The bed and bedding was super cozy and comfortable - the wall of windows overlooked downtown Chicago from our 21st floor. The staff was super attentive, getting us a cab to the airport, granting us early check in , etc. We've stayed at the Wit before and will continue to recommend and stay here.

I was in desperate need of assistance and all I had to to was ask the folks at the front door and they were on top of it. My family was visiting from Texas and my older parents could not go any further on foot. They took care of them untilli could secure transportation. I commend the staff for their assistance and willingness. Thank you. Friday 20th of April 2017 10am

Room was small and parking was way over priced. A random person knocked on our door in the middle of the night. I guess this is a common issue because I actually saw a sign about it. Staff was ok. Over all not the best value for the price.

This place and every employee I came into contact ...

This place and every employee I came into contact with were amazing. I love this hotel! Here's one reason I love it... The weather report said 50% chance of rain. Being that I'm from CA, I took it as 50% it Won't rain and I took off walking to trader Joe's about .7 mile from the hotel without an umbrella. As luck would have it when I finished shopping I came outside to a torrential downpour that wouldn't let up...after ducking into doorways as much as possible I finally made it back to theWit. I was completely saturated and the employees that greeted me when I walked in the front door of the hotel were sympathetic to my situation. I asked if I could have a cookie (they give out warm cookies all throughout the day all you need to do is ask). Sarah said sure of course you can you look like you could use a glass of wine too and she was ready to get it for me. LOL I said thank you but all I really need is a gallon of water, I picked up a bottle of wine at TJs. I told her I was going to run back out and get that before I head upstairs and Eat My Cookie and drink my wine. Sarah insisted that I let her go out and get me the water. I offered her money and she would not take it. About 10 minutes later I was up in my room and she showed up at the door with a gallon of water for me. This kind of service really made me appreciate theWit and the employees--especially Sarah.

We stayed here for two nights, and the service was fine but the rooms were just awful. They were clean enough, but so barebones and unaccommodating it made the place feel far more like a 2-star hotel than a supposed 4-star.

The water in the shower would never go hotter than luke warm, there was very little space to put our suitcases (or anything else), the walls were paper-thin and we could hear everyone in the rooms around us, the water in the room was $6 per bottle, and there was no microwave - which would not have been an issue had the room service menu not been grossly overpriced for what it offered.

Not to mention how much they charge you for parking your car ($72 per night). Unlike other hotels, nothing is included in your stay here, so be prepared to spend a lot of additional money. Two nights was $500 after all of the extra charges!

We have stayed at a lot of cheaper hotels that were far higher quality than this one, so if possible I would highly recommend going elsewhere. Very disappointed.

We were looking to book a hotel for a stay in Chicago (to see a concert at the Chicago Theatre), and theWit seemed like a nice option, so we decided to go with it. I am so glad that we did. The hotel is amazing and the people working there couldn't have been any friendlier. We had the unfortunate experience of arriving into the city at 5pm (on a Tuesday), but we were able to pull the car next to the hotel, a friendly valet attendant took it for us, we walked inside and got upgraded to a suite on the top floor, overlooking the river. I mean, what, and when does this type of service happen? We received a text message when we got to the room, asking if there was anything we needed, and if so, to just text back and they would do everything they could to assist. I've never felt so special. I felt like a rock star! :) My only complaint is that I only stayed 2 nights before I had to be back home. The room was immaculate, and had everything that we needed, plus some. The next time I go back to Chicago, I'm not even going to 'hotel shop', I'm definitely returning to theWit again. Its proximity to the theatre (about a 1 minute walk), the art museum, the river front, etc... can't be beat. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone.

The location itself is beautiful. The attraction ends there. I reserved two suites for my birthday and ordered a package where I received bottle service and a few admission bands into the rooftop bar. The first night I didn't need the package, as I was having a party offsite. When asking about my option to rescind the deal for one night, I was greeted with a snobby elitist attitude, so nasty that I opted to keep it. Then, on the night I had planned to go to ROOF, I asked if my invited guests and I could use one of the several seating areas. I was told that I could BUY a table. As if the two king suites, three cars (valet x 2 nights each) and ridiculous upgrade package wasn't enough. Furthermore, when the bottle was delivered to my room, I was ready to go to the club and asked if we could take it there. Someone from the hotel escorted us there with the bottle in hand and they refused to let us enjoy the alcohol in the club that it was just delivered from! We had to purchase drinks directly from the bar. Before we were even escorted to the bar, I got a call from the lobby telling me to come to the lobby so they could make sure all my guests were over 21. I refused, considering my room was one floor down from the club. Obviously, they weren't concerned how old my guests were when they delivered alcohol to the room. Later, when I did go to the lobby to meet some of my other guests, we, along with other patrons who were staying at the hotel, were yelled at by one of the security guards to get off the elevator. He was taking a group up to the bar, but we couldn't ride the elevator with them. He was extremely aggressive and rude. There are definitely no advantages to staying in the hotel and attending ROOF. You may as well stay somewhere else and drop by if you want to see the view. The music wasn't good, and the atmosphere itself was bland. So, the bar isn't even worth the trip. My birthday was ruined and I'll never stay there again. I did receive an apology from the staff. After the amount of money I spent, and the embarrassment they caused on my special night, an apology just doesn't make things right.

The room my husband and I stayed in was fairly large with a decent view of the city. You could also see parts of the navy pier. I was not a big fan of the valet charge but we only stayed for the night. They were very accommodating. We were able to check in about two hours early which was a big relief after a long drive.

The rooftop experience is an utter joke, and the staff is more interested in pretending they're at some it spot instead of remembering they work for the hospitality industry. No thanks. Too many other amazing rooftop experiences in Chicago that aren't complicated and welcome you.
