Excellent resort. Great tomato soup & watermelon-tomato salad
Absolutely beautiful property. The pool area is huge. And the service was great, We would stay here again.
Over priced. Staff not all friendly. Pools not that great at night. Restaurants were decent.
Great place. Nice rooms. Great service. Nice pool area
Went swimming with friends, the employees were very accommodating
Fantastic place to visit in Tucson. Great facility for events or family vacations alike. Staff is so friendly and helpful.
Very great experience. Friendly staff and lots of entertainment options.
What a beautiful resort! Spacious rooms and amazing pool. Right next to an amazing golf course. I will be back.
Very comfortable resort, great service, and as nice of a view as you can get in Tucson
Amazing resort in an awesome location. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Nice pool area. Overall the room is nice, but not overly special.
You got the got a lot of money, this this is your Holiday Inn. This place is very classie luxurious.
In my opinion, this is the finest resort in Tucson. The staff is extremely accommodating all the way from reservations, front desk, food/beverage, pool, housekeeping, to maintenance. I just stayed there with my son and his friend and we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was very lively yet quiet enough to relax and rest. The staff did an amazing job providing a clean and safe experience!
Lazy staff-members in bar area..bartender & other stsff were talking to much... with each other? As Resort Guest were waiting for dinner...Remember "Your in a fish bowl environment !!! = Your resort guest are watching you & waiting for service....as they grow "older" awaiting service in your "3 Star Resort!
Very nice resort in all aspects, except the food and drink prices are astronomical. Be prepared! The pools were especially nice. And check out the Deli by the tennis courts for some better food options!
Overall pretty decent resort.
Gym: pretty clean and well maintained
Tennis: they charge about $30/hr for tennis courts which I think is a bit high
Rooms: sub par quality bedding and small tub in the bathroom. Good size though.
Front desk and customer service: sub par
Bell boys/ golf cart drivers: amazing service
Bar: decent
Corridor quality: sub par
Expensive, poor service for a 4 star hotel. The pools were nice, the rooms have no microwaves (there's a waiting list if you want one, but good luck), the hotel restaurant is expensive and the food is bad. For the price we wouldn't go back, but it's not bad otherwise. It is close to just about everything: shopping, gas, good restaurants.
We recently booked 4 rooms for a family thanksgiving long weekend. While everything was excellent, they have no playground area for young kids. This would have been a huge help. Please suggest to management that they add a playground area for kids.
Great place especially in the slow months... summertime. Lots to do and reasonable prices. Not far from good restaurants and other attractions.
Great place for a staycation! Multiple pools, a water slide, and a swim up bar = fun for the whole family! The beds are comfortable too!
I had a great experience here, amazing luxury and service. There were a few honest mistakes the hotel made, and when I brought them to the attention of the staff, they all went out of their way to solve the problem and go above and beyond. Pet friendly. And you can rent running shoes and athletic clothes for only $5.
Great relaxing atmosphere. Nice place to sit, hang out, talk, or eat
The Westin La Paloma is a beautiful property! We loved the room (although the upgrade for a view wasn't worth it since the view was 90% obscured by a tree). My wife loved the back-lit mirrors in the bathroom! The weather was cooler than phoenix and we loved the pools. The Azul restaurant was good (if not slightly disorganized), the fillet was great but don't get the creme brulee! This was a great way to spend my wife's birthday weekend.
The atmosphere was top notch and the staff was super friendly and respectful! Would come again!
This is such a beautiful Resort. The service is very good. The only problem is at the rooms just always smell kind of funky and musty.
When your in the resort-hotel business your job is to help people make beautiful memories and you do that with service. When we first arrived we were met with the best service, top notch! Brandon showed us where to park, helped us to our room and we had marvelous conversation. The lady at the front desk was on point quick and sweet. And the employees at the pool are fabulous. Then we ran into the night security guard, cart driver, housekeeping? Oh he didn't speak or smile even when we spoke to him. I don't think customer service should be part of his job duties he clearly hates people. The next day we asked for more pillows cause the pillows are flat as can be and they never came after two hours and several calls nothing they even stopped awnsering our calls and that lasted the rest of our trip....which stinks cause you have to call to get a ride from your room to the parking lot which is a very very long walk. My husband even to went to the front desk to get pillows and they sent him back to our room to wait??? Terrible ... in short the day people are marvelous but when the sun goes down so does the service. To bad cause this resort was mostly marvelous... won't be back...
there were BED BUGS in my sons room. Will NEVER go again. Do not waste your money here
Red Door Spa is my favorite spa in Tucson for a fabulous pedicure, wax and massage!!! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Even the spa water is good! I started coming here after I searched high and low for a good, clean place for my annual birthday spa treatments. A lot of places wouldn t accommodate me or they just didn t fit my cleanliness needs. Red Door took me in the day of and I ve never looked back. If you want the ultimate spa experience or even a quick brow wax, Red Door is the spot! Athena (nails), Raquel (wax), and Zias (massage) are my faves!!!
Loved it. Very nice place. Great services. Gym was awesome. Pool was very cool. Awesome place to relax.
This resort is beautiful. Front desk Mariam knew that it was our 20th anniversary and gifted our room with a surprise red velvet cheesecake, bottle of wine a sweet note. She is exceptional!
Resort is well maintained and spacious. Pool area was great for the kids. Has a nice swim up bar for the adults.
It's about time for this hotel to do a full renovation, but still very nice and the views are amazing.
As always the Westin is a pleasure to stay at. Everyone wss top notch.
The resort is nice, very beautiful with a lot of attractions. But the room is a bit dirty. The floor is so dirty that my feet were nearly black after a morning walking around my room. Other than that, it's pretty nice
Overall it is a beautiful resort. It is clean and has everything you might need. Some of the drawbacks include long, hot walks from the parking lot to the rooms and full-sized beds in the room. It was an ok stay.
Excellent meeting space, great food and drink; helpful staff.
Everything was perfect the room the service highly recommend people to visit The Westin La Paloma Resort
Beautiful views all around! I went to a conference here but unfortunately rooms were booked and I had to stay off site. However, the even spaces and restaurant are great and it was a joy to spend productive time in a beautiful place:
Great choices at the bar along with a beautiful pool and lounge view!
The pool decking is literally coming apart. It's easy to trip and get cut.
It's always wonderful to stay at this beautiful resort. The new years party this year was a bit of a let down compared to last year though. This place comes with a complete gym. From punching bag to cycling and yoga classes. Rooms are wonderful.
Love this great place- the beast of Tucson!
Thanks..
One of the best resorts I've been to. They get your car, they have restaurants, they have gift shops, room service, great views, connecting rooms, pools, spas, and best of all, a whole lotta of cactus (cacti)! It is such a great resort.
Did an amazing job for TMC ! Over 400 people served well!
Love this resort! Great views! Great rooms! Great pools! But be sure to bring your own pillow the ones in the room instantly go flat and are totally uncomfortable in my opinion!
Walden University booked this hotel for their most resent 4 day conference, which in my opinion was a HORRIBLE mistake. The hotel thought it was best to have HUNDREDS of Walden students stay in the buildings furthest from the conference rooms. By the afternoon break my stepper read 13k steps. It got to the point that students would just wait in the conference room cause their rooms were too far. Anyways on day one they toilet broke; literally in pieces, and took over an hour for maintenance to show up leaving my son and mother in law waiting. Rooms were stuffy regardless what you set the temp at in both rooms. And my biggest complaint was the $50 credit/comp scam they have going on. During check in we were told we'd get a $50 comp toward food/beverages at ANY restaurant on the property. Not until check out were we told by someone else it was only specific restaurants, NOT all. So I called trying to resolve the issue and Olivia who had no sympathy nor an apology and just said "he should've specified". Asked for a mgr and originally refused and suggested I speak with accounting and transferred me. I left a msg and have yet to get a call back which was told they will call back within 24 hours. I then tried sending an email address that Olivia provided and it was not a valid email. Not even the email under their websites contact us is valid. What a joke!!!! My opinion .. STAY AWAY or get everything upfront or in writing.
Nice hotel. On site food options are expensive and limited. Long ride into town for other restaurants.
Gorgeous hotel, amazing pools and some great food options.
I teach classes here pretty often. I really enjoy the scenery and wait staff, however the banquets staff could use some work. I consistently ask that our meetings not be disturbed, and every single meeting, 3 or 4 times somebody will walk in from the back like they don't know where they're going. I'm not sure that I'll continue using the resort if it continues. Everything else about the Westin is fantastic.
We loved the resort. The rooms where nice, pool area was great, and the food was wonderful!! We will definitely go back for another stay! Only thing is I wish they had tried to find my cardigan I left in the room.
It's a good place.. Just a little (more) dated. My towels were all tattered. Sucks.
I love this resort!! The staff is friendly and the accommodations and views are beautiful!! The resort is very family friendly. The food here is great! I love that this resort is very supportive of the community and students!
For those who can afford to spend their time, and WAAAAYY Too Much of their Money, here, it's an elegant enough salo(o)n and boarding house.
For Working Class Mutts like myself, and all the neatly-dressesd blackshirts and blackvests who work here, one weekend here will cost us a month's pay, or more.
The distinctive aroma of well-scrubbed, well-coifed, and well-groomed .....Wealth was almost nauseating.
The Help were very nice, very polite, and not one of them grimaced or scowled at my raggedy Working-Class @$$ sitting as inconspicuously as possible in a well-used chair next to the door, reading from the current issue (Jan-Feb 2019) of Foreign Affairs.
If you want to Hob with the Big Nobs in Tucson, this is the place to do it. Myself, I find The Trident Grill more to my liking, and the bartender can make a smooth Crazy Ivan too.
I only met up with a friend for drinks but staff was attentive and courteous.
Great place, you do not imagine that you are in the middle of the desert. Pool division (kidfree);). Delicious mojitos and the staff strives to make your experience the best. 6 stars over 5 XD.
Great hotel. Breakfast is good and the hamburgers are outstanding.
Amazing views, great landscape and all the amenities and facilities you could ever want.... spa, 3 golf courses, two high end restaurants and 3 pools
My companies special event was fantastic. The facility, the food, the wait staff, and bartenders made the evening spectacular.
One of those places you just really want love. Great location with mountain views, the pool area is amazing, the main building is very nice... But after that it just starts to fizzle a bit. The room is a room, have stayed at holiday inns with nicer room, but they are not bad, just a room. They have a pool side pub with good selection of drinks and nice variety of pub style food. Burgers, salads, chip, chicken strips, all decent food at a reasonable price. But, they are only open from 11-5. If you are here for a conference, you will never get to enjoy this pub food. If you want to stop by for a weekend staycation, you may never get to enjoy this pub. See, check-in is at 4pm. It might take 20minutes to check in. Rooms are a good hike away, another 10 minutes. Get situated in room, 20 minutes, walk directly to pool, 10 minutes. So yeah, no long serving food at pub. But you have an option. Azul starts serving food at 5, and you can get some of the same pub for or much, much pricier food, think $40 al la cart New York strip. But, after staying here a couple of times, you discover, Azul has some of the slowest service I may have ever seen. Expect any meal to take nearly 2 hours. At $150 to feed 6 people, you would kinda like to at least have drinks filled without having to ask for refill.
With all that said, come for pool and amazing view. The people working the pool area are friendly and the ambiance is nice. As a bonus, the summer rates are amazing. Just eat before you get here... or plan on running just down the street to la Encantada were you have a nice selection of far better restaurants.
Attended an FBLA event. It was all run very smoothly and everything looked spotless. Not a thing to complain about in sight.
Beautiful views, resort is really nice except for the awful smell of moldy rooms, I don't know how you call this a 4 star hotel when you find dirty towels and old rags as towels too, really disappointed coming from texas and being a native of Arizona
Wonderful resort with multiple restaurants, pools, fitness center, and spa.
This resort is everything I could have imagined. My husband had been going for years for a conference and this is the first year I'm able to join him. The grounds are beautiful & well kept, the staff is friendly and you get a gorgeous view from your room.
Great resort. My family enjoyed the visit very much
I was there for three days, and it was a nice stay. There were plenty of conference rooms for the event I was attending, the rooms themselves were nice, and the scenery was great. There was a pool that was fantastic, and overall it was a great stay.
This was our second visit and I could not have been more disappointed. The food at the Contigo Restaurant was not very good and the food at the Azul restaurant was also poor. We found better food and good prices away from the resort. To make things worse, the resort locked us out of our room because - direct quote - "Your credit card did not go through". A call to the credit card company showed that the resort did not even try to charge the card. In the end, we found out their card reader was not working. That they would lock us out, not try to call our cell phone numbers (we always had our phones with us) and then blame it on our credit card is inexcusable. On top of that we did not even get an apology - just more excuses. We will never return here again. I gave them one star because their breakfast buffet was good.
Good restaurants, beautiful pools, gorgeous location
Nothing special. Was here for a conference and have been here in the past for the same. Every time that I'm here, the carpets in the rooms are filthy to the point that our feet get black just walking across them in the room. The pool has a slide for the kids, but the pool is cold even when it's hot outside.
Only come here if you want to feel like going to Heaven.
The location and staff are perfect. Its secluded and peaceful but not too far away.
Nice resort. Great pool slide for kids. But walk from room to parking lot was very inconvenient. Worse part is that the room carpets were filthy.
We celebrated our first year wedding anniversary at La Paloma. They treated us like royalty. There were 2 glasses of wine with a delicious chocolate mousse to share when we returned from the beautiful mineral salts pool and lovely swim up bar. Our stay was comfortable and quiet with a beautiful view of the mountains and golf course. I will definitely return for another visit and recommend the beautiful accomodations offered by such a wonderful staff of people. Thank you La Paloma for making it extra special for us.
Location is OK. Rooms are nice, but more expensive than other resorts with greater amenities.
