Christmas party. Food was poor. Service good and friendly.

World class. Fantastic place to bring the family. Special mention to Sarah & Meg for their outstanding service in the restaurant. Would definitely come here again.

Nice place was just wet good course but just not at best. but could see it will be when drys up.

Peaceful and relaxing stay, clean and spacious rooms, excellent spa and gym facilities, quiet and idyllic location, great restaurant but be prepared to remortgage your house if you plan to order a club sandwich

Amazing location, great place to get away and have some time out. Food is highly recommend also.

The staff were helpful and friendly. We were upgraded to a balcony view since it was a special ocassion.

Been here for a spa day and organised an afternoon tea in the conservatory for my sister's hen. The Spa was nice, relaxation room good and treatments average, the pool was a bit of an atmosphere killer but it's for the whole hotel so guess there will be that problem with kids and other guests using it too. Little overpriced for the Spa I feel, but imagine it could be better in a large group.

Nice place ...reception staff nice and cleaning staff...management could do with some tips off the cleaning staff on how to be polite and friendly to guests.

Something for everybody, facilities excellent food good although secluded plenty to do and see a short drive away can be in the centre of Cardiff within 20 minutes. Well recommended for whatever the occasion.

Lovely spa, good massage, room very clean and huge bed

We held my 70th birthday party here as I now live in Spain but most of my family and friends are still in the UK and many are around Cardiff. The venue and the food were excellent, the Conservatory was perfect for the occasion - we had a singer /guitar player for our entertainment who commented favorably on the acoustics and it certainly sounded good. Also, it was a good location outside for photos.

What a beautiful place to spend a break?! Such beautiful surroundings and lovely golf courses to look out over if you get the right room. The food is top notch in the bar and grill. Could do with some better beer options at the bar. The spa is nothing short of bliss. Fantastic, professional clinicians offering top end massage and beauty treatments. Definitely hope to go back!

The hotel looks very dated, staff very friendly and the food in the restaurant is very good. The sausages at breakfast was rather disappointing, but the pancake machine was great

A very well presented and maintained resort in the heart of the Welsh countryside. The service was excellent and the staff were polite and friendly, whilst being professional at all times. The rooms and facilities are also very good and the price is competitive for the hotels' star rating.

If you're looking for a more 'up-market' place to stay for a few days in this area, this is a nice treat and certainly a fancier alternative to the big-name hotel brands, whilst not being massively more expensive.

Total liars. I had an event here and was double booked in error. I spoke to the girl at the front desk who then informed me that I will not be charged for the double booking. When I went to check out the next morning, I asked again and was More

Been to The Vale many times, mostly on work occasions. I felt the rooms were a little old fashions looking and the bar area/restaurant and other common areas don't have a cohesive feel about them. It doea have friendly staff and good service - also good place to see Welsh Rugby team when they use the hotel!

Wonderful spa day, great deep tissue massage from Nicky. Very calm and relaxing.

Nice place for a wedding only downfall was the exterior needs a good bit of TLC patio area and steps to go up stairs to function room very dirty and needs a lick of paint on the up side food very good

Beautiful course but long and lots of water hazards. Real test for low to mid handicap golfers, but well worth a visit.

We had a fab day, 3 treatments which were lovely, also a buffet lunch very nice. The staff were great, very professional, considerate & helpful. A lovely day, would highly recommend it came home very chilled.

Good hotel, got a great rate. Room had not been serviced well, no tea bags, kettle was in wardrobe and reading lights on bedside need a manual to work!!! Breakfast was good but coffee was very weak and poor.
Beautiful views and large airy rooms, well lit when you learn how to work the lights.

Took my mother there for lunch on Mother's Day the food was nice but it was a bit over priced.

The spa day we had was lovely, really relaxing. Staff where all friendly. We will hopefully return soon and would highly recommend.

Lovely big room with great view. Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was the only negative as although a great and varied selection, the bacon wasn't the best quality and the sausages were overcooked.

A very pleasant experience; the room was large, clean and well serviced. Staff were friendly. The restaurant was busy but food arrived quickly and was really nice.

Only played golf but facilities were very good. Wales national course was immaculate.

Had a wonderful day , staff were extremely friendly and helpful and really couldn t do enough for you. Premises are kept extremely clean, tidy and perfectly relaxed.

Maybe the worse customer service I have every experienced. Expect regular 30mins+ waiting for drinks and food. They will also regularly forget someone's order or overcharge you!

Hotel is located in countryside with good views . friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Great pool and gym facilities.

We visited the Vale for my girlfriends birthday. We loved it. The room was amazing. I never wanted to leave the bathroom it was massive! The food at the restraunt was also very good. I'll definitely be back

Comfortable beds and linen. The White Company products in the massive bathroom.

Went on a work related training course and was just expecting a bog standard lunch buffet. How wrong was I? Coffee and biscuits beforehand, pastries at 10, an amazing hot buffet lunchtime then cream tea at 3pm. All of this with a fantastic view of the golf course from the conservatory. Well done Vale Resort!

Went here for our staff Christmas party, and it was an excellent evening.
The food was a set menu pre-ordered bit it was very nice, and the bar was free, so can't comment on the prices.
Great venue though.

The food was amazing, the only criticism I would have is that although the staff were all very friendly like I can't stress that enough, they kept forgetting cutlery then when we asked for some completely forgot we did etc.

Had a lovely day at the Vale today! My mum treated us to a pedicure in the spa. I felt really safe. Everything was clean and everyone was socially distanced. The staff are always so friendly when I go and my hat goes off to them for the hard work they are doing keeping the standards really high and keeping us all safe. Thank you to everyone there- you never fail to impress me!

Poor experience at the gym. We have been members for more than 15 years. The whole family was asked to leave at 8 pm just because our son is under 18. There were hardly 10 people including us in the whole gym. Ruined our evening. Don t deserve this treatment after the amount we pay for membership. Complete lack of courtesy!

Lovely hotel and Spa. Did the body pump class every good before we started the SPA day. The food was lovely and very healthy.
