Hit golf balls at the range. Very nice facilities. Loads of parking. Top banana.

Attended the Vale for the George Morgan Trust Dinner and had a great evening. The event had a 3 course meal and the food was superb. Did find it very odd that the drinks in the bar downstairs were totally different to what was on offer in the bar for the Castle Suit where we had the event, this meant people were drinking different drinks at different times depending where we were which was a pain. Would definitely recommend the location for an event with food.

it was OK was the venue for my prom had a lush time but food could have been better drinking where quite expensive

Came to the Vale for a Christmas party with work. Decent food and drink, nice location

Visited the bar and spent time in reception. Very well manner staff, helpful and polite. Fair priced bar food too.

Upgrade when we got there, not worth the money .you have to pay extra for your food if you have a steak and extra for cheese board ,drinks over priced

Vegans like cake too!
We, (three meat eaters, one vegi, and one vegan) have just had afternoon tea. Wonderful service the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive; the food was delicious as was the continual supply of tea and coffee. However although our vegan enjoyed the sandwiches, fruit and sorbet and the little fruit and cereal square they would have appreciated having some proper cake. Now I understand that there may not be many Vegans coming for afternoon tea, but surely they could have offered just one cake especially as we had so many to choose from and we had given several weeks notice. Most supermarkets now have something cakey for vegans so come on Vale resort step up to the plate. Vegans like cake too!

Two high quality golf courses, coupled with very nice hotel. Add in good food and friendly staff & what more could you wish for on a golf break

Hotel was of excellent quality and the reception staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. The menu had a wide choice however the quality of the food was mediocre. The table service was good. Breakfast was good with a wide choice of starters and excellent main courses.

I am a member of the health and fitness club. I find the equipment to be modern and staff friendly however I feel the cleanliness of the toilets to be sub standard.

Really a fantastic place great day staff and friendly night staff especially the night staff.
Jack in the Salamanza champagne was very helpful and great cocktails.
And the night manager Mark Bearne was very helpful.
The duty manager in the restaurant in the evening was very good at his job.
Thank you for a lovely and relaxing stay.

A bit disappointed with the Sunday lunch, broccoli and cauliflower undercooked whilst the meat having been reheated was very dry. As a chef I would suggest blanching the broccoli and cauliflower first before reheating it.

A top place for a great price. We had a wonderful golf weekend at the hotel with the majority us enjoying most aspects. The food was fresh and tasty. Throughly recommended

Stunning views, food is out of this world & the banter is great!

Coming out if lockdown some staff were a little lost, possibly new starters. All receptionist we spoke to were great and proffesional.
Guest were not social distancing in the dining room, going out the in door constantly and encouraged by staff.

Golf guests need to keep their voices down late night/early morning and think of others.

Easy to find not far off the M4, great facilities, pleasant and helpful staff. Attended on a package deal, two games of golf (The Lakeside & The National) overnight stay, evening meal an excellent value package. The courses were in great condition, the rooms and food was excellent, all four of us had a fabulous time. Well worth a visit.

Stayed for a wedding in May. Very expensive hotel and not value for money. Reception screwed up my booking and took a long time to resolve it, the mistake was theirs. Rooms very basic for the high price. Bar staff rushed and rude. All round not the best experience and I wouldn t recommend

Phoned to make a booking for my parent's for Christmas, lady went above and beyond to make sure I had everything in check and that every need was met. Excellent service.

Room overlooked 10 fans very noisey. Will not go back.

Was put off staying in the Vale Resort Hotel again due to bugs in lights in bathroom, bad breakfast with rock hard blackpudding, overcooked bacon and undercooked sausage s. Loaded annoying drunk footballers in only bar open. And when we complained about things never got an apology for bad customer service or bad food.

Spa Day! Thank you to all the staff at the spa part of the hotel for making my stay extra special.

My skin is beautiful after the Drizzle Massage, my face is glowing following the Vitamin C Facial and my toes are looking very pretty with the Pedicure.

The delicious lunch felt healthily virtuous and all in all the six hours that I spent in your company have left me feeling incredibly blissed out...thank you :)

My wife and I took up the Wednesday Lunch and Spa offer and we were not disappointed. We were greeted on arrival by an friendly and helpful receptionist who explained the itinerary for the day and from there we were invited to take the buffet lunch on offer. A fresh and tasty offering including fresh fish and meats, fruit and salad and fresh juices. The buffet was replenished throughout the 2 hour lunch time. We then enjoyed the sauna, jacuzzi and steam rooms in the wet zone which also includes a swimming pool. There are several peacful rooms with heated water beds, magazines to peruse and fresh fruit on offer as well as cold water dispensers. The massage was excellent and left me feeling totally relaxed. I would recommend this offer and the Vale Spa overall was an excellent venue.

Excellent place to rest your head good food good facilities

New favourite spa day venue (and I have been to most venues locally). Myself and a friend had purchased the Wednesday spa and lunch deal with a 55 minute treatment.

The food was delicious, a healthy buffet. I couldn't get over the amount of relaxation areas available to the guests. The facilities were spotless but the reason I will definitely be returning was down the staff.

The girls working on the spa reception were lovely throughout the day. Showed us round upon arrival and couldn't do enough to accommodate. At previous venues on par with the vale I have found the staff can be really quite snobby so this was really refreshing.

Played 18 Holes on the lakes golf course. A great test for golfers of all handicaps. Strategically placed bunkers and water hazards make club choice crucial. Great club house and the pro shop offers everything you need.

Superb resort, catered for personal and corporate clients really well

Really nice courses. Don't go when they've just hollow tined the greens. Like putting in bunkers.

We had a nice meal at the Vale Grill, although the initial presentation from the waiter it's something that you would normally say to someone who went to a restaurant for the first time in his life.

Very nice place. I couldnt work out the heating control in the room so a bit cold in the night. Lovely evening meal and great breakfast. Very friendly staff. SPA and pool were very nice.

Wouldn't stay here if you paid me.My experiences have proven the disrespect a fairly large company can have for the individual and I am sure that my experiences are reflective of how they traat their staff and in turn, their guests. I attended an interview and despite the associated costs and anxiety involved in this they didn't have the decency to contact me back and have brushed me off. When I conyconta HR i was told different stories to the recruiter and I can only come to one conclusion,- The Vale Hotel will lie to you to shut you up. Do not stay here unless you accept and support their mistreatment.
