Very nice place, rooms nice and big and well maintained, good very large bed, very view. Bar was still open when I got back from work past 1 in the morning. Good average breakfast, wasn't there long enough for main meal. Would visit again.
Great hotel in the countryside with grest facilitys.
Unable to get any cash on site. No drinks available on the golf course as all the vending machines were empty all weekend. 3 days. Shocking. Hotel lovely tho. Real shame
Magical place great staff and lovely food and drinks.
Love visiting the Vale, its like a holiday on your doorstep.
Had a lovely stay at the Vale, will definitely be back
No lights or directions getting to the place, narrow roads however building very nice and designed nicely.
We stayed at Vale Resort the night before our wedding, enjoyed a lovely spacious room with terrace, we then married at Hensol Castle part of the Vale Resort the following day. The location is stunning, the staff friendly and professional, catering and venue was amazing, the day was superb and effortless. All our truest agreed it was the most beautiful setting and elegant venue making our wedding day the best! We were given the honeymoon suite to stay in the night of our wedding and upgraded to a beautiful large room with terrace and views, complimentary champagne, chocolates and breakfast in bed were lovely additions to make our stay complete.
The venue is entirely let down by the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Regularly waiting for over 30mins to order a drink or food and then waiting a further 30mins, at least, for delivery. Terrible service ruined a good weekend.
This hotel has a corporate, slightly authoritarian feel. Staff are intelligent if slightly lacking motivation. For example they bring a delicious Cesar salad and suggest if you want cutlery (if you're the type of lady or gent who uses a knife and fork for a salad) you should collect it yourself from the cutlery station that the waiter/waitress has walked past when bringing the meal.
Great trip away with the boys!
The hotel are really on top of the covid security. Great courses, great food!
Very friendly staff, decent food. Good deal for golf break
Excellent stay. I highly recommend it. First class....!
I use the swimming pool area etc, and the gym, not stayed in the hotel very good golf course
Fabulous venue with many facilities. Highly recommended.
Very pleasant and clean. Food was disappointing. Fish and chips the fish had very little flesh.
Brilliant 2 night stay stay. Tidy, clean and spacious room, excellent food, good beer and extensive wine selection, polite, welcoming and helpful staff.
Brilliant facilities beit swimming, gym and grounds.
Welsh national rugby training ground, 'kin awesome.
2nd stay here and look forward to the next invite to Wales.
Make a weekend of it and take the other half. Do it, sooo worth it, you will not be disappointed.
Just come back from the Vale after staying overnight with my 2 Daughters. We had a treatment in the Spa yesterday and an evening meal in the Grill last night. Treatment was really relaxing and the shin of beef in the Grill was amazing. Really enjoyed it, it's been a while since we were there last. Wonderful time away. Here's to the next time, hope it's not too long before we are back there again. Also would like to thank Sarah in the Grill for her service both at Afternoon Tea there on the 13th Jan and breakfast this morning. Very friendly & helpful Lady
Cold showers, not what you expect from Wales's 'premier' golf resort.
Nothing special. Meeting room was pretty basic. Buffet food was .... Meh. Welsh rugby team were there. Couldn't care less
We arrived one and a half hours early for our Sunday spa, dinner bed and breakfast but were given our room straightaway on the 2nd floor. We took our cases up and then went to the spa. Our break included a 25 minute treatment each which was scheduled for 5:30pm. This was a little late for us but they were very accommodating and amended it to the following morning. We then spent the next 4 hours enjoying the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and the sensory rooms . The spa has more of these than any other we have attended and all staff were great. In the evening we ate a 3 course meal in the Vale Grill where we were commendably served by Emilio who made our evening flow so easily he deserves the staff member award of our visit. We then retired to our room where we slept well . The bed was very comfortable and the pillows felt fresh and fluffy. The following morning we visited the Vale Grill again where breakfast was served. This involved an area where cereals, yogurt, dried and fresh fruits and a chef's smoothie were available. Another area had juices and another area toast, pastries and other items were spread. There was a cold and hot buffet and we both are well! After this we checked out easily and then went for our treatment. We had a back, back and shoulder massage. Lorna was my masseuse and treated me so well considering I have just undergone a spinal operation. I thank her also. We then utilised the sensory rooms before leaving. Though the resort may need a little TLC or renovation in areas the overall work of the staff and the quality of the food and spa made this worth 5 stars.
Went to the Vale Hotel for the new year Spa Package and overnight stay with breakfast. This is our 3rd year, and we plan to go again next year. All staff were first class.
Lovely spacious spa excellent treatments and friendly staff.
Just picking up my wife who said it was a great place
One of the best afternoon teas. Plenty of variety and lovely service. Highly recommend
Stunning! Had the most amazing spa day before my wedding
The vale resort is a good place for a Christmas party. It's located a couple of minutes from the M4 - J34. The roads close by are small and dark. The Christmas dinner was OK, but not much selection. The bar was crowded with people waiting for drinks because the service was slow.
Relaxing break, excellent breakfast, dinner okay, staff good very attentive and cheerful a sign of a well run organisation. Room good although no spoon to stir your morning coffee /tea. Unable to play golf this time, wife held me back but I know, 2 excellent course's having played before.
Really enjoyed my Spa day. The Spa was really good and lunch they served was very nice. They have a nice pool for swimming and you can use their gym facilities too (if you really want to).
Works Christmas party, located downstairs. Lovely food. Starters wasn't for me but we'll presented. Main and dessert where both gorgeous!! Everyone had a good dance and the DJ played old school dance all night. Perfect little night.
The money we paid we were expecting a little more. The hotel room was nice, but found hair in the bath, needed a little paint job and freshen up, also the throw over had mark's on it. We were not impressed with the evening meal, starter was nice but did not enjoy the rest, if I knew what is was like we would have not booked the evening meal. Room service was fab except the lettace in my baguette was a little drab. The breakfast had a good selection but the bacon and sausage repeated on us all day. The spa experience was brilliant, the ladys who help and serve you are brilliant and the light lunch was lovely, best meal we had there. We would go back for a spa day but wouldn't stay over night or have an evening meal again. A little disappointed especially for the price.
Great relaxing day out. I treated my partner to this day for her birthday doing the couples deal. I was surprised to enjoy it so much myself, batteries now recharged.
The most fantastic place for our Golden wedding celebrations. We were all treated with such respect. Food VG clean and welcoming
Great hotel. Worth the extra hours trip out of Swansea (if you need to visit) and avoiding at all costs staying at the disease ridden Marriott hotel
Amazing golf course and the pro Richard King is amazing with the lessons
Attended a training event at the resort. Facilities were as expected, stsff were more than helpful.
A beautiful location which was easy to find. The decor and style of the hotel is great. Rooms clean and tidy, and food at the bar was excellent. Only complaints to give so far with another night to go. Would happily return.
Facilities are nice place is nice ground is not was very muggy diabolical grounds to play on treacherous
Food was average, very nice room though. Great service at checkout
Depends what you want. I loved dressing up for the occasion, a bit pricey for drinks but tonight I didn't mind.
Stunning venue for a wedding reception we went out. Outstanding food.
Stayed for new year eve room was great then room for the entertainment and food was to packed in and being with people with disabilities was hard to get through to toilet and bar we booked early and was wright at the back of the room as some one changed two table number food was OK but wasent much choice only one or vegetarian Mrs t howells
Went to the Vale for a spa day with a friend, staff were lovely, treatments were very relaxing and facilities were brilliant.
Great stay, rooms were huge and spotlessly clean. Dinner is the grill was fantastic and the breakfast was just as good. Staff couldn't do enough for us throughout the stay. Will be back for sure
Played national course great layout. Pity the greens had been cored and dressed which adversely effected putting.
Lovely hotel, welcoming staff and vies overlooking the golf course. Everything we'd hoped for.
