The customer service folks are nice and try to be helpful but the available service don't match up to competitors. Channel packages are also set up so that to get a decent line up, you must pay for a premium package. Also, they require service calls to install and set up equipment that I'm capable of installing myself. I don't need to miss a half day of work to watch someone plug in three cables to the back of a TiVo box.

Internet works great and good customer service. My only complaint is the fee keeps going up and up. I am paying $35 more a month than my original contract. Doesn't seem much but over a year that's $420. Which is airfare for one to Mexico!

Reliability was okay unplanned downtime about 10 times per year. It would drop packs on their routers (and they did not have the technical knowledge to understand, nor believe the data provided until they observed it live). The worst part is they failed to send what they promised and continued billing me for cable, then had the nerve of charging me for 7 year old equipment for 8 times the current cost of new equipment. Generally I am seeing ISPs are generally poor quality equipment/service, they tend to not follow through and threaten you through intimidation. Not the kind of businesses I like to see. (But you have very limited choice in providers mini-monopolies).

Service tech was very unhelpful. Walked around and said there is no cable ran to the house, which the box is directly across from my driveway, and that he couldn t do the install. Was informed he submitted it to his boss and I would here from them with a solution. Waited over a week, no response. Called multiple times there after and was told they sent an email to service to get things going and still never got a single response. Gave up, terrible customer service

Midcontinent was truly a blessing, customer service was always great, and the company truly cares about their quality of service. One year ago I moved to the Minneapolis area (Prior Lake) , and Midcontinent is not not available where I currently live. The communications industry in the Minneapolis area is TERRIBLE!!! Midcontinent has left me with a very high expectation for my cable/internet services, and they are not being met by the company's I've dealt in my area. Please build in the Minneapolis area Midcontinent, if you delivered the kind of service to these people as you have given me in my hometown of grand forks, you would own this market in no time at all.

I have the supposed 500 mbs service and when I first got it it worked great. But then after a month I've been lucky if I get 100mbs. May work occasionally if hard wired. But the wifi almost never works. Was told by the tech that "xbox ones ethernet sends power suges to the modem and frys it". I've had techs sent out multiple times at least once a month for the last 6 months and they've replaced the modem multiple times. Even they stated over the phone that they have no idea whats going on. Also was told when the service was set up that they messed up and only set it at 150mbs. But I didn't get a discount. And they tried to get me to "lower my service to a 200mbs because it would work better" but I would pay more for it then the 500mbs. I had the service before and would of recommend it to anyone but now I would not. May consider changing review if they actually fix it. Instead of just changing the modem and give excuses.

If I could provide zero stars I would!!! Today is the coldest day since 22 years ago and my internet is down!! And I can't get through to "customer service"! Unbelievable! The only thing that's consistent about their "service" is that it's consistently HORRIBLE!! #Midcosucks

My husband and I have been attempting to get internet service set up at our house for not one, not two, not even four, but SEVEN WEEKS!! And we don't even live in a rural area! Someone please tell me how a business can get away with dodging/not responding/not completing a job for 7+ weeks and stay in business?? I'd like to say that we could see a light at the end of this long, irritating, tunnel but according to the call we just had "there's no way we can tell you that"... I'm completely fed up with them and the service hasn't even started! At this point I'm tempted to turn to Century-links 1.25mbps option just to avoid dealing with these clowns. Please please PLEASE avoid Midco at all costs and save yourself the headache! Why spend your money and support a company that simply doesn't care?
