A little disappointed with the food that I ordered. It said what I ordered was going to be spicy, I believe I ordered Thai or Korean fried chicken with rice. when I took a bite it was not spicy or hot in temperature. It looked like the food sat under heat lamp for a while before it was served to me. Heat lamp do not keep the food hot. Still a great experience overall, service was on par with restaurant of this category.

Prepare to wait in a long line for weekend breakfast at this popular restaurant, located next door to the iconic Tower Theatre. Regulars sweat by the New Mexico cornmeal pancakes, topped with blueberry compote and whipped butter, and the thick-cut, custardy French toast. Breakfast is all-American, but lunch and dinner have a global theme. Try the Nicaraguan black bean soup or Irish beef stew.

Tower Cafe is one of the best amongst this type of restaurants. I am happy I found a place were people know how bake delicious pastry and fine desserts as it is in Europe but unfortunately is not typical for North America. Also the atmosphere there is so calm and relaxful, especially in the lush garden patio. You can hear the birds singing while sipping your coffee and enjoying your tasty food. The interior inside is an incredible mix of Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Tibetan and Russian (matrioshki) culture which amazed me and made me feel happy there. Enjoy your time there!

I loved the Tower Cafe and I use to frequent it often. I went today for a quick bite and the service was outstanding as usual HOWEVER the food was just bad. The mango in my salad had not taste due to the fact it was not even near ready to cut, the coke was flat and the fries for my companions lunch were cold and tasted old. The burger was good so at least that! I was so sad and disappointed that I probably will not go again. But the server was fantastic. 40$ for 2 lunch plates the food should be outstanding so so sad

French toast. Yum. Seriously, they have fantastic French toast, along with a bunch of other really good food. The last time I had the hot chocolate, ut was a touch watered down, but it's always been great in the past. While I prefer breakfast here, their lunch and dinner food is good as well.

Do I really need to write a review for this place?...

Do I really need to write a review for this place? No. Everyone knows Tower Cafe is one of the best in Sacramento for brunch. Quickest way in will be with a small party of 2 or near opening hours. Otherwise do expect to wait a little longer because it's a popular spot. I've eaten here holidays and weekends for brunch. Even if you have to wait, the waiting area is beautiful outside with plenty of seats and shade.

I love the French toast and Verde Breakfast burrito. The price is awesome too and the serving is generous.

I have been coming to this place since I was a kid. The custard soaked french toast is still my husband's favorite, and I LOVE the Eggs Tower. If you want to get a good seat, get there around 8 on the weekends. The outdoor seating area is almost like a secret garden - giant Japanese maples and all types of flowers and bushes provide a canopy to sit and relax. Cannot recommend this place enough!

The service I have had ranges from pretty good to stellar. At times the food has been less then amazing, but has always been delicious. They consistently meet or exceed my expectations pretty much every time. There is one other reason Tower Cafe is always one of the restaurant choices I consider no matter the time of day or night, one of the Hostesses has always greeted me by name, every time. The first time I asked for her name, she replied The Blonde One. She made me feel like family. There are others which now call me by name, but she was the first.

Wait is terrible and food is average. We waited for 20 minutes and then another 25 minutes for food. What I liked most was the atmosphere and the decors. Good to stop by if you are a visitor just to see the garden and decors.

The atmosphere is festive, lots of great art from around the world. The food is different and very tasty. Eggs benedict are delicious with a slightly spicy Hollandaise sauce. Their veggie burgers are unusual and good. The soups and salads are always delicious. And the desserts - just to look at. I haven't had a bad meal here ever and I've been here a lot. A little oasis in Sacramento

Tower is a staple of Sacramento brunch life. They often have a wait but trust me it's worth it! They have excellent eggs Benedict but it's really hard to find something not good. Oddly my least favorite was the French toast which most people love. I thought it was too rich. The ambiance is cookie but fun and the staff is very efficient and nice.

Electic food and decor, great attentive staff. Madame Cristo was a savory twist to their famous French toast. Personal favorite is the bocadillo, with many layers of flavors. Went at almost 2pm and the wait time was still "40mins", but actually waited only 15.

By far one of my favorite eating establishments in Sacramento. A bright eclectic collection of decorations make you feel like your someplace special. The food is really good and fairly priced. There are plenty of seats inside and out, so no matter how big the crowd is out front I ve always found the wait to be way shorter then expected. Service has been exceptional every time I ve visited here. Strip steak with chili sauce is excellent and the French toast with fruit is almost like having a giant desert for brunch.

This place is such a lovely and unique spot to Sacramento and is definitely a must go. Besides the fact that the food is amazing and the location is beautiful, it has great features inside and outside. After eating, you can enjoy their little outdoor garden area, which happened to be my favorite part.

An epitomally norcal restaurant, I love taking visiting friends here to give them a taste of the local Sacramento flavor. The wait is not too bad at peak times, but you won't get right in on a weekend. It is worth it though, the food is good, the service is good, and the ambiance is very unique.

Had the All American Ceeseburger and home potatoes. Would have much preferred french fries or onion rings...but it wasn't a selection...didn't like that. My friends really liked that place. The burger was unevenly cooked...i asked for it med rare...and it was medium to well.

Very interesting in and out. A place where you can dine multiple times and always feel like you visited a different place or time. I wonderful experience for my eyes and my tongue. The garden is beautiful, with such care and love. The plants indoors make it fresh and the decor gives it an eclectic feel. All while creating individual areas of confortable privacy, and romantic flavors making your curiosity want to try everything on the menu.

This place feels like I'm eating in a beautiful backyard. Luckily we got here at 9 am. Just an hour later people had to wait for a table, on a Monday! We had the French toast with fruit and an omelette Lyonnaise, both really good.
