My first time visiting Tower Cafe. I love the decor and ambitious of the outside. I ordered the Brazilian Chicken Salad and it was also amazing. Great place for lunch when in the area. It gets super busy so plan ahead or just get it to go. I will back for sure.

Always great with eclectic world flavors. When the weather is right, outside seating is fun. Do expect to hear other's conversations as the tables are quite close together. Inside is best for a little more privacy! Good service.

Just went here for the second time in my whole life and had another great experience! Went one time on the weekend and it was busy. Wait time was about 30 minutes but it was well worth it! Food wait time is not long at all and it was very very good! The Madame Cristo was great! Coffee is great! During the week, there was no wait time to be seated.

This cafe was very unexpected, but very cool! While offering plenty of standard brunch fare like mimosas, eggs, potatoes, etc., they have a health-conscious and worldly spin on many dishes. Plenty of excellent south american food like burritos, Chile quiles, and mole. While it does get busy at bunchtime, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so the wait was only about 20 minutes long when I went.

I have been coming here since Tower opened.....it was amazing at one time.....the Waite staff was so much fun.....the food wonderful, especially the Chinese Chicken Salad........I'm actually here right now and the only reason I don't leave is due my family including my 93 year old aunt not having the time to go elsewhere. The young hostess with the longer dark hair, for the second time visit is beyond rude, cold and absolutely the worst.......she could care less about anyone but her own conversations with other staff members.....despite this HUGE LINE!!!!!!!!!.she will help anyone that cuts the line.......HEAVY SIGH...............I gave her the benefit of doubt the first time.....but nope she is just a miserable person and wants others to experience her misery. I have never written a review....BUT .....her behavior is beyond the pale.....and for a second visit I just can't let it slide as her having a bad day........SHE JUST RUINED A GOOD MOOD AND A FUN DAY....FOR MY FAMILY......

One of my favorite restaurants here in Sacramento. Get here early morning and before noon to avoid the wait, especially on weekends. The French Toast is so decadent and probably one of the best things on the menu. If the weather is nice, have a seat outside and enjoy the weather and atmosphere.

What an ornately decorated place. Coffee for two cost me $10 dollars here. It is a bit pricey at tower cafe, but I guess that what I was mostly paying for was a fancy place to sit. I felt like I was really rubbing shoulders with the upper class. Sitting next to the upper crust is a big attraction I guess for other members of the upper classes.

I felt a little out of place and missed good old village donuts which is my local coffee shop where a large coffee is $2.00.

The outdoor seating area is so cozy and nice , weekends are full , food is good try the veggie burger it's so good but the eggs food wasn't fabulous, service is so good too and even if it's busy they'll do their best to make it easy and no waiting for you

"Good" food. Not seasoned to my liking as I had to add some salt-which I wasnt thrilled was cheap iodized "diner" salt, but there was a lot of food. I had to take half of my burrito to go. I give it five stars though for the service. The woman serving our table was very personable. Overall, quality experience.

Took our 9 month old out for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The staff asked us if we wanted a high chair and we said yes. They sat us away from heavy traffic areas and provided an extra plate for us to share with him. Our food came out as delicious as ever, eggs tower and tower French toast.

Stunning outdoor area, great food at breakfast and dinner, awesome drinks, and a historic location. Be aware of substantial waits at peak brunch times--but it can be easy to slip in with no wait at all at non-peak times throughout the week.

Food: The veggie burger was very good. Hard to pick up like a meat burger since the patty wanted to crumble. I finished it with a fork. I will order it again!
Service: the waiter did a good job. However, We ate outside under the heat lamps... too hot. Asked if they could turn them down. Their answer was they were either on or off. Not a good answer!
I down graded my review because we were not comfortable at our table due to the EXCESSIVE heat from their heat lamp.

Great food and our service was fantastic! I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken and it was a spectacular dish. The flavors of the orange sauce and the coleslaw are delicious together with the crispy chicken breast. I will definitely order this again. My husband said his burger was also very tasty. He ate every bite of it and every one of his fries (after stating he wasn't very hungry). We even ordered dessert. There are so many choices of stunning desserts to choose from, but we opted for the Panna Cotta with berries. Oh my goodness - best Panna Cotta I've ever had! We live about 8 hours away but visit the Sac area often. This place will be our regular every time we come this way.

Very tasty. It's hard to find good mole but not here! I also tried the season French toast (amazing) and the chorizo egg hash which I'd give a solid B+.

Very fun atmosphere, and a great place to go with your family.

Sacramentans love this place. Those who come from, Chicago to Amsterdam or from Sydney to no joke Tibetan monks all fall in love with Tower Cafe. 16th and Broadway is a spiritual destination everyone should visit

A complete classic, real one of a kind establishment. This place has a lot of history, and just looks amazing.

They serve real quality dishes, with some great combinations and flavorings that take a step beyond the normal breakfast fare. On to of that there's always their amazing french toast, as well, along with their nice coffee drinks.

Amazing food, great service even during the breakfast/brunch rush and good portions! Parking behind the building can be a bit tough, so be prepared to circle a few times, but worth the wait.

Wonderful food, well worth the wait. Seating outside is really pleasant and they even have nice heaters in the winter but seating inside is always fun because of all the different decorations from different countries all over the wall.

The atmosphere is great but considering the place is styled very mexican its ironic they have the most disgusting mexican food i have ever tried, if u want mexican food i would just go to taco bell. The mole has no seasoning, it was straight up dark chocolate sauce and the chile relleno was a pepper stuffed w imitation crab and of course no seasoning. Besides the horrible mexican food everthing else ive tried was pretty good

This is one of my favorite Sacramento eateries for years. The joint is eclectic and can be overwhelming for some with all types of media art and souvenirs from around the world. The first time I went it was visual sensory overload but now I come and enjoy one of any savory dishes inspired from around the globe. Consistently fabulous. I love coming for brunch. The Greek scramble is a favorite as well as posole. Get there early as they don t take reservations. Lines can get long with long wait times. The outdoor patio is also a joy to be in when the weather pleasant. There is an extensive cocktail, beer, wine list. There truly is something wonderful for every palate.

Okay!

Best French Toast in the Sacramento area, some of the most beautiful (and delicious) desserts ever, with a gorgeous and visually stimulating restaurant (indoors and out) to enjoy while you dine. Highly recommend!! Just be prepared for a bit of a wait to be seated most weekends for brunch. Parking can also be a bit challenging at times but still worth it!

I went here once 5 years ago and all I remember is hating the entire experience. Tower is more of a local attraction than a quality place to eat. Drive further downtown and you'll find so many better options

The food was delicious. All 10 people in our group enjoyed their selection. The service was excellent, fast and efficient. Atmosphere was relaxed. I like the fact that they posted at the table not to exceed 90 minutes is awesome. It was a great experience all the way.
