Alot different since Covid-19 policies.
10pm last call, and no real party area. Good food , and music so still a different type of vibe but great for a date night. Not so much for partying.
Great choice of craft beer. Bar and dancefloor. Was a nice but expensive night.
The stock market aspects of this bar is absolutely amazing and fun I would definitely recommend coming on a weekday so you can take full advantage of it. I will also add that Emily the bartender is amazing
Great meal and service...unique beer pricing and the upstairs is a bit small but they have alright drinks.
Great atmosphere. Good selection of beers. Friendly and helpful staff!
Artistically balanced drinks, great prices. This tri-level club has something for everyone. Mellow lounge upstairs for the ladies and couples, traditional bar on the ground floor for the frat/beer crowd, and a jumping dance floor in the basement. Go and have fun!
Upstairs bar was very cool! Bartenders are as helpful and kind as they are pretty. Down stairs was cool but more towards the younger crowd. I dig the upstairs bar myself.
Their happy hour is great. They also make a great old fashioned.
The music was alright I expected more from this section of the gas lamp district
Love this place! Watching the prices rise and fall is super fun. Eclectic crowd and nice staff.
I would give this place a 0 star if I could. By far the worst experience and service ever received. I am from out of town celebrating my 24th birthday. My friends and I decided to stop by and the guys in the front claimed I had a fake ID. At first, I couldn t help but to think it was a joke. The picture is so photoshopped on, they claim. They then took my ID and would not give it back. I panicked since I am from out of town and I needed my ID to drive and go places (mind you, it was my birthday). They were so rude and disrespectful just from me asking for my ID back. I then show them the military ID that I also had. Oh, that s fake too, you can get in a lot of trouble for that, they said. I ve never experienced anything like this and wondered if this was real. I finally went to find a cop and then showed the guy at the front my Facebook page so he can see that I literally celebrate my 24th birthday before coming on this vacation. He finally gave me my ID back and have the audacity to tell me you still can t come in. Like I wanted to after what they put me through. How idiotic of them. Please hire people that are more educated on different state IDs because this was the worse experience to put someone through, especially on their birthday. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They were exceptionally rude and disrespectful.
Fun Downtown bar, great dancing, relatively quick service
Super fun place. Far from a while in the the wall but it was a nice spot to rest and have a drink. Worthy of my recommendation.
Decent food and drinks but not super memorable. They commit one of my most hated restaurant crimes... they think chips are an acceptable substitute for fries...they are definitely not. Got Mac and cheese on the side instead and it was pretty good. Server was attentive but she looked miserable the whole time.
They advertise happy hour pricing when ordering but they charge more when you cash out. Rip-off
Decent bar with amusing pricing screens (all time highs, lows). They turn on the lights at 1:40am (official close at 2am) and nudge you out the doors. Looks like a popular night spot for conference attendees.
Good place, young crowd and laid-back. There are 3 floors, one downstairs with different music and a dancefloor, and 2 above with some board games and a pool table.
My gf and I got kicked out because "supposedly" we were too intoxicated. I used to come to this place every year, not anymore. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want to have fun. Drinks are overpriced. Dj takes a while to get going.
Loved this place, but the music was different. It went from one extreme to the next. Couches were super comfy.
we had an awesome server, but these fools had a dress code.... no beanies? funny for a place that advertises as a craft beer spot. didn't know you needed to look like a bro to drink over priced beer!!!!
We did an event here. It was a bit cramped upstairs, but the service was fast and accurate. Didn't get a chance to try any food, so I can't comment on that.
Small dance floor, but the music and ambience is good..
Love coming to the tipsy crow because I know it'll always be a good time! With game nights, dancing and pool tables there's something for everyone. The drinks are cheap and strong. Perfect location in the gaslamp!
My favourite watering hole in SD. Always friendly staff, great food and fun atmosphere on all levels.
Super expensive.
Service was slow .
Bartender were rude.
Food was just alright .
Great atmosphere and had some really nice live music when we were there. Even had 2 games (jenga and connect four) to play while we had a couple drinks! Service was great also.
One of my favorite spots, amazing atmosphere and great food. Fun place to be at!
3 stories of fun! They have club, lounge and a bar! You choose your poison - We went on a night when they had a band which was awesome!
The vibe is good, really laid back and staff is friendly. They have several specialty drinks that looked good. And the menu was your needed bar food. Definitely a place we would always be at if we lived in San Diego.
This is a really cool place. Good beer, good food, good staff, and cool entertainment!
One of the best bars in San Diego. It is a bit pricey but well worth it.
Liked it better on Thursday than Friday. Thursday had room for shuffleboard and the prices of beers change based on demand.
Nice and quiet with lots of games. Strange pricing on drinks.
Wouldn t let my friend in for no reason, kicked him out of line and was super rude
Typical bar. Cover at the door. Pool table upstairs. Pretty busy on a Saturday night.
Great drinks and atmosphere! Don't forget to chill out upstairs and play some games.
Not a bad spot to come with friends. The drinks are a little on the crappy side but the place itself is nice with an Upstairs AND a basement to hangout at. Never had the food but didn't look bad from what i could see.
Their Lobstaaaah MAC attack and el Diablo drink is amazing and loved the live music. Loved the atmosphere!!! Good place for solo or out on the town with friends.
Such an amazing venue!! Looking forward to visiting again!!
If you are a homosexual and are caught playing grab ass with your straight friends you will be promptly kicked out.
The drinks are cheap and the bar is diverse with three levels of excitement for you to choose from. Whether it's Friday night out and you feel like dancing downstairs, or it's just your average weekday and you feel like relaxing with friends over games on the ground floor or lounging upstairs, the Tipsy Crow is a pretty good stop in the Gaslamp for any visitor.
Fun old school games, great lounge environment and decent little dance club.
For the kind of reviews this place has, I was underwhelmed. We came here early in the night, around 8ish. It wasn't packed, but decently crowded. We got drinks only - rum and coke, Irish mule and a Moscow mule and a jack and coke. The drink size is small for the price you pay. The first round of Moscow mule was quite good. The second did NOT taste like a mule at all. The other drinks were just about ok.
As the night went on, the place got louder. There is live music, but again, a little underwhelmed by him. Definitely not a place for intimate conversation cz you're screaming over everything.
Couches, music videos, jenga, and connect 4 - what more could you want? Two floors of fun and reasonable prices. Great to relax or people watch.
Great spot for a drink in the Gaslamp area of San Diego.
LIVE MUSIC! And good drinks. My friends and I had a great time here. We grabbed an Instapark spot and were there in like 2 minutes.
The stock exchange drink system is an interesting novelty. Aside from that and the occasional comedy show, there's not much to this place. No major draw. It's OK, but a bit loud and I'd rather pass if its busy.
Great multi level bar in the gaslamp area. The upstairs is a little more quiet than the ground level, and includes a bunch of table games to play.
PLEASE READ! I have never had such a bad experience at a bar to write a poor review but this place takes the cake. Upon ordering a very pricey drink at 1:30 am I was given a 5 minute waring by security to finish the drink. He said the bar closes at 2am. I politely asked if i could just enjoy my drink and leave at 2am but this was disrespectful to ask so he trashed my drink aggressively. I have never been treated like this in any bar in my life around the world. My take on the tipsy crow, give your buisness to any other bar in the gaslamp district. For poor liqor selection, tap selection and high prices this place lacks significant qualities many other bars have in the gaslamp district. Not worth your time or money!!
Nice bar to have fun, only thing I donot like is soemtimes cocktails are not storng as much as they should originally be.
This place is dope, they got good drinks, good service, and good tunes. I always feel welcomed here
Easy going spot with daily, weekly, and seasonal specials. Their outdoor signage is even changed monthly for various holidays! Especially a fan of the beer stock exchange screen!
A bar with fantastic food in an area known for their food. The service was excellent and the prices fair. As others have mentioned they do have an interest stock market based alcohol pricing scheme which is fun but a bit confusing. Keep in mind that the portions are also rather large.
Been here a few times over past couple of years and used to love it. Won t be returning due to tv screen pricing didn t work out as they advertised a beer for a $1 and wouldn t seek it at that price!
A lobster roll for $5. Before 5. On Tuesdays. Great beer. Wonderful Bartender. Double whammy if you walked past the 4 steak houses previous block looking for $45 to$65. For a steak.
I'll return with my friends. Prices were good for how much you get.
This place was actually perfect. Good drinks, good music and eye candy for days.
The beer exchange happy hour is a cool concept and you can get great prices on drinks. Great bar with open windows to the Gaslamp street. Multiple floors with dancing and live music at night.
Best bar I hit in San Diego. Good staff, good live music, good dj late night
Not too soft. Not too hard. Just right for a couple of bears looking for a drink and to watch a game
