My daughter was married there in January and it was outstanding.
Of course the setting was amazing, only to be outdone by the friendly staff and their commitment to customer service.
Great place, Great staff, Great food, Great experience.

Depends on what you re looking for coming here. I was told I would get a lake front cabin, and was about as close to the road as I could get. Cabins have little to no soundproofing to the outside world so expect small children to be woken by people driving by or being noisy several cabins away. Cabins are very old and it shows. Beds are tiny as these were clearly hunting cabins meant to sleep individuals not families or couples. Restaurant staff is very rude and they do not hold to posted hours. Check in at 4? Well staff leaves at 4 on the dot so don t be late. Door locks? Open to any key on the premises as they are ancient like the cabins. Very unhappy about how much I spent to stay in this dump.

On the positive side, the view is gorgeous and the food is pretty good. But you can get that in plenty of other places.

Elkins is amazing! My husband and I were married there in December 2011; our friends and family had the resort to ourselves and the staff, the food, the atmosphere.... everything was so well put together, they really helped make our day memorable. We've gone back often over the years to rent a cabin for the weekend or grab a bite at the restaurant and it's always a fantastic time. Elkins rocks, and the beauty of Priest Lake is unbeatable!!

We stayed in cabin 18 and had friends in cabin 2. Both were very nice and had great views. The food at the restaurant was great (Especially the carrots!) and all of the staff I met were kind and helpful.

Beautiful.. right on the lake, the cabins are very cozy and clean with all the amenities you'd expect like WiFi, TV, etc. The restaurant has amazing food. There's a conveniently placed boat launch for easy lake access. Plenty of trails to explore. If you're for a nice getaway on the lake this is the place.

Loved it, the Huckleberry daiquiris are so good, superior to Hills in that regard. Like the outside seating, was super comfy. The service was good, the prices are reasonable and they have a nice little gift shop too. I'll definitely be back!

Beautiful, picturesque resort that reminds me of the Great Outdoors! I've been able to stop by several times this year and have had perfect service and delicious food each time. Big fan of the pulled pork nachos for sure!

Very peaceful. Cabin 23 was a little claustrophobic for 4 adults. Tiles in kitchen area uneven and can be a tripping hazards. Only has a double and another bed that was suppose to be a queen but was less than 2" wide than the double. Would still return, just not to this cabin.

Just spent 2 nights with my husband in cabin #15 with a wood burning fireplace. This is our 3rd time here and we love Elkins Resort. We went snowshoeing twice. The weather was so nice and there was snow on the lakeshore and the trail. The cabin was awesome, lots of atmosphere, rustic, comfortable beds, great kitchen, lovely views. We will come back again in ghe future.

I've managed to make an annual trip to Priest Lake for the past 10 years! And we often visit Elkins Lodge - always a great experience. Definitely recommend any of the many huckleberry drinks they offer.

It was a fantastic dinner! Atmosphere, service and food were great! It was more expensive than I wanted, but what do you expect for a lake front restaurant/resort. Drinks were reasonably priced. Ordered 2 x white russians @ $6.50 each. Much better than the usual $8 at most place like this. Our waiter was very nice and well organized! He didn't write down our order, and our food came out perfect, always a sure sign of a professional! We each ate a Cranberry and candied pecan salad and shared and order of the morel mushrooms appetizer. We also shared one of the specials which was a 20 Oz ribeye sided by a pile of garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. All told the bill came to $103.xx after tax. I would definitely recommend, In fact I already have to several friends.

Priest Lake is one of North Idaho's not so hidden gems, and this is probably one of the best resorts on the lake. I'd recommend visiting them in the transition periods between summer and fall and winter and spring. Very cool cabins, with a great restaurant, and great beaches and viewing of Lake areas during the summer. One of my favorite things about this place is they have fire pits everywhere that are stocked with wood so you can just stuck up your own little family fire and enjoy the Stars.

Had a Great weekend.
All the staff were polite, kind, friendly, professional and easy to deal with.
We helped set up a wedding and the staff was there for everything.
They helped more than I expected.
Rooms are nice and clean.
We will definitely go back to Elkins.

Great location with pure beauty of scenery! One of the best places in Idaho. Helpful staff who accomadtes any need you have. The bar/food is impeccable and always worth stopping in to eat. The cabins are amazing and nice to stay in the winter because they have wood fire stoves. Sandy beaches are awesome to swim at the Elkins making fun beach days in the summer.

A place from my childhood, the real deal. Great restaurant, little grocery store, the smell of the docks. Walking on the covered boat area, feeling the rocking of the water. The water. The beach. History!

The septic tank on our cabin overflowed the toilet and sink in the bathroom. Stinky! The staff fixed promptly. We had mice crawling all around at night skittering around and pooping in the silverware drawers. Had to wash all silverware before using it. We realize we were "roughing it" staying at a cabin in the woods but we paid $330+ per night and thought we overpaid. The lake is always fun but the haze from forest fire smoke was bad. Most the staff is great but we struggled to relax.

I would highly recommend Elkins Resort every year we usually go to the vinther-nelson cabin on eight mile island, but this year there was too many people! So we decided to go to elkins... we dont regret it it was AMAZING!

So first the staff was absolutely great. Very friendly so that wasn't the issue that I had. The food at the restaurant was pretty good but for 4 people was 175 dollars and yes that did include 2 drinks for one person but the dinners were burgers and fries. We had cabin 1. We had 3 adults and 3 kids average age of 12. Cabin 1 is next to the bar so we got to stay up all night listening to drunk people being drunk till midnight. Nit fun explaining certain words to 12 year olds. The cabin for 2 nights cost us 800 dollars. Ants everywhere, no firepit to roast anything, and really couldn't use our back area of the cabin because the bar people were literally 12 feet from our back door. I'm not a prude or anything but we spent over 1200 and got a ok cabin in a horrible spot with an ok dinner. We tried to make the best of it but I would have much rather went actual Camping somewhere and saved 1000. Of course when I told the lady at the counter about the issues she said oh so your not a party family. Offering nothing further. So in summary if you plan on spending about 4000 on a weekend to get a cabin, maybe a boat, only 3 pontoons for like 600 for 8 hours, and a decent dinner than you will have a pretty good time there. But if your budget was only 1000 to 1500 for a weekend, unless you just get drunk the whole time, you maybe disappointed.

Elkins. Whoooooweeee. We ve been staying at Grandview for the past 25 years and with its demolishment it was time to move. Elkins is different, but it s a definite upgrade. Be aware they will use the sprinkler to keep the grass green for longer than you d like ;)

We always book the Chimney Top cabin every year. The cabin is awesome and can fit 10 - 14 people. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant/bar on site serves great food and drinks. Overall, we have a blast here each year.
