Really enjoyed the tea at a table, facing the sea, in their iconic restaurant.

This place cannot be reviewed by people like me. This place is for royals and blue-bleeded people. Best hospitality you can imagine. It's got a character that you will never experience anywhere else. Leaving the place felt like the end of something beautiful. There's no way someone looking to stay here is ever going to read this review.

The hotel is on the shore and in front of The Gateway of India, and so the place deserve a visit for sure.

Pleasure for so many reasons - It is the country's first building to ever get Intellectual Property Rights protection for its architectural design. The design and construction credit for the building goes to 'Sitaram Khanderao Vaidya' and 'D. N. Mirza'. It has total 11 restaurants. Food is simply lip-smacking. The staff here has an unwavering belief in guest experience. The hotel on the ground floor also has Louis Vuitton store.

Anguish because this beautiful place also witnessed the dark night of terrorist attack in 2008 and blood stains of innocents.

Truly deserve the tag of First Indian Luxurious hotel.
From Darbaan to room service everyone is very helpful with lovely smile throughout.
Rooms are spacious, beds are super comfortable.
Breakfast is awesome. Probably the best pan cake and kheema in the city.
The palace lounge gives royal feeling while having your tea and coffee, make sure you are in atleast semi-formal attire while entering it.
I did not have better black tea till date than they serve the one in palace lounge.
Having your breakfast in sea lounge while enjoying the view of The Gateway of India and Arabian sea is the most precious thing you can ask for in Mumbai

Amazing! This hotel is absolutely amazing and lived up to the hype. I was sick with food poisoning during my stay (prior to arrival) and they sent the doctor up multiple times to give me medicine and check in. The shops are great and the location is convenient for tourist stops.

If you are shopping you must go to Nappa Dori around the corner for some handmade leather goods.

I also went to the spa while here which was delightful. The entire place is well worth the cost not to mention the delicious restaurants downstairs like Morimoto s Wasabi.

Great service and lovely surroundings in the Harbour Bar. Was a welcome contrast to the crowds at the Gateway of India.

We stayed for one night in December 2018 & booked for the Tower wing but we were offered a complimentary upgrade to the Heritage wing on the club floor (6th floor) with all the club benefits, sumptuous breakfast in the Sea Lounge, complimentary high tea, complimentary cocktails before dinner & cognac & chocolates after dinner & 24 hour butler. Of course took the Heritage wing upgrade! Rooms were spacious with comfortable bed & everything in the room you would expect at a quality hotel. Side sea view as well. Very quiet at night with the food & drink being top notch.

The comfort and service here are amazing. Even though there are many people staying in the hotel, the staff always made me feel special.

The room was quiet, had the most comfortable bed, and curtains that blocked out all light. The restaurants inside are also fantastic, and I particularly recommend the Harbour Bar's specialty drink "From the Harbour since 1933" along with the story behind it.

Its a beautiful hotel! The staff are extremely kind and helpful. The building is just something else. The shopping variety and the restaurant selections are countless. The history behind the hotel is intriguing and is a vital part of the history of Bombay. You could not ask for a better view, wether your in your room looking out at ' the Gate of India ' or just enjoying a meal at the sea loumge. It over looks the dock and the gateway. The pool is refreshing with water at a Goldilocks temperature is perfect for a hot sticky day. The whole hotel is air conditioned and the rooms are really nice. Besides that food is really good ( a little pricey ), but totally worth it. If you are dining at the Sea Lounge, I would recommend the 'dahi puris' ( they are to die for ). I would give it a seven star rating and a must go to place even if you don't intend on staying there. If you are visiting Bombay please stay here.

Not visited into the hotel but outside the hotel you will find gateway of India which is Pride of INDIA and The Taj Place Hotel make its view beautiful. It is close to arabian sea where you spend whole night with your romantic mate and can have romance night.

This famous hotel that opened in 1903 was the first 5 star hotel in Mumbai.
The hotel provides great views of the Gateway of India landmark along with the harbor of the Arabian Sea. Like the other Taj hotels in India, the hotel offers upscale amenities such as a nice pool along with world class customer service. The penthouse of the hotel provides stunning view of surrounding Mumbai.
I stayed in the old wing of the hotel and honestly much prefer the modern and high technology rooms in the Leela Palace in New Delhi but many like the history that comes with the Taj Mahal Palace.
You have most likely read about the bombing of this hotel that took place in 2008. Compared to the other Taj hotels, this hotel had the heaviest security which included measures such as stopping each and every car that approached the premises to check the vehicle.

Dinner at Wasabi by Morimoto is a unique experience. The food is delectible, with fresh wasabi available for sampling as well as an array of menu items to choose from. The desserts are also especially good.

Attended a discussion at The Rendezvous, Taj Mahal Palace. The Rendezvous is an amazing venue to host discussions, meetings, etc for about 100 guests. The views are amazing, with the Arabian Sea on one side and Bombay City on the other. The food was delicious and complemented the ambience. The service was very cordial, typical of The Taj Mahal Palace.

What does one say about this iconic hotel? It is beyond comparison in service, in elegance, in its features and facilities, its views, its food. Simply the best. Even amongst similar super luxury hotels, the Taj Mahal stands apart for the thoughtfulness of little details, its unobtrusive luxury, and certainly its historic architecture. Rooms typically begin at $300 onwards. Meals at its restaurant for a single person costs around $150 per person. The shops and stores in the hotel offer exclusive products that, if you can afford them, you will not find them elsewhere. Some of the products of known brands are not available elsewhere except at the Taj. The gym and the pool are superlative. It would be a shame to stay at this hotel and not have the time to enjoy it.

Always been the grand old lady of Mumbai harbour. The place is majestic and as close to royalty as you could get in the mazlximum city. This is pure 'old money's charm and so are the props and bells.

Try getting someone you know with the access to the chambers to take you out for lunch there. Got the best view of the gateway.

It was good to stay there in Take Mahal Palace. A bit expensive but worth money as it's location is best in Mumbai and one of the most famous Hotel in Mumbai. You can book sea view rooms that is expensive but even if you are there to stay then select best location rooms. Rooms services are good and staffs are helping. And lots of places are there to visit near by. And you can enjoy evening views of Gate Way of India and even sun rise view also. Overall it's worth visiting.

One of the best properties I have ever been to. Went there recently to celebrate my wife's bday. The service was Taj level at its best. They made the day so special for us.
