Went for a beer after 10 pm on a warm summer night. The bar was closed so we were guided to Trattoria. The beer was nice and chilled. Since most of the folks were having dinner and we were having only a beer, service was a radio slow. Otherwise no complaints.

This is a magnificent piece of art. It's said that in order to protect the pride of Indians, jamshed Tata ji built this in respond to British hotels where Indians weren't allowed during colonial times. He pledged to built the most grandeur place in Mumbai and it still stands as being one. The staff is extremely welcoming and the hospitality is amazing. It's situated at the sea cost so the view is exceptionally beautiful especially the sunrise and sunset with gateway of india right across from the hotel.
Wahhh taj!! Visited lots of time for meeting n for eventes preparation also... Fully lavished and what a quality class maintenance lovely... Reallu proud to be a part of India... Lots of gorgeous sceen have seen at their wonder full experience n have grrat memories with taj..!!
Visited to celebrate. The bill of fare (food menu) was not upto our taste. Choice of Cocktails were few, and none were exotic. They're expending more on courtesies by their restaurant staff than on the kitchen. Ambience mediocre. Nothing special to take home, except that we dined in the Nation's so called best hotels.
Amazing hotel with a long, interesting history. Every detail is sophisticated and manicured. The service is impeccable. Sometimes the common areas feel crowded but the experience is special nonetheless.
Visit to taj mahal palace was a great experience. Service was awesome food was too good but costly as well. Not but the least the interior design was very charming.
One of the finest hotel in India since Britishers were ruling. It's a five star hotel. Very iconic one . I haven't checked in to the hotel since it's for the wealthiest! But the look from the outside is just marvelous. I hope one day I'll be rich enough spend a night in one of the sea facing suites. If you're rich and an Indian, you should spend a night here. The location is just beautiful. Near the gate way of India.
It was tremendously outstanding. nice food. Nice ambience but staff services regarding credit card payments requires improvement with regard to client's monetary safety.
This is a luxurious 5 star hotel and if you get a room facing the Arabian sea then you can feel the real beauty of that sea and also you can see the great gateway of India from here. The new taj is just adjacent to it which is called the taj Hotel tower because of its height and when Gateway of India and this taj hotel is seen from Arabian sea it looks great.
One of the prime destinations to visit in Mumbai. Next to the Arabian sea, one can enjoy the peace and calmness in the air. Highly recommended if you are visiting Mumbai.
One of the best luxury hotels in Mumbai with a historic importance built by the great Jamsetji Tata in the 1903. Being next to Gateway of Indian makes it more beautiful. The dedication shown by the staff of the hotel during 2008 attacks is unmatched in the history.
The hotel's original building was commissioned by Tata and first opened its doors to guests on 16 December 1903.
It is widely believed that Jamsetji Tata decided to build the hotel after he was refused entry to one of the city's grand hotels of the time, Watson's Hotel, as it was restricted to "whites only". However, this story has been challenged by some commentators that suggest that Tata was unlikely to have been concerned with 'revenge' against his British adversaries. Instead, they suggest that the Taj was built at the urging of editor of The Times of India who felt a hotel "worthy of Bombay" was needed. The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel is a heritage[1] five-star hotel in the Colaba region of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, next to the Gateway of India. Historically it was known as the "Taj Mahal Hotel" or the "Taj Palace Hotel"or simply "the Taj".
Hello travel buddies today I'm at luxurious Taj mahal palace hotel. I'm travelling alot i visited many luxurious hotels of India but here i find the great hospitality from others. Here the staff is very co operative they can help you to every question. Here you can feel the real beauty of the hotel. The hotel known for its rooms and customer service. The rooms are expensive and this is not the affordable for the solo travellers but i must say visit once to experience. The food here is delicious world class chef available in the hotel. The worth of money given to the guests. I suggest you that if you are visiting mumbai then must visit this place!!!
I am staying in the hotel from Nov 20-27, 2018. I would like to commend Azar, Attaib, and Divyesh Suyesh from housekeeping Throughout my period of stay, they showed their professionals both on arrangements and caring to my family.
It s the best performance of hotel staff in my years of travel so far.
Services and Location of this hotel are excellent. We will come back again, for sure.
This hotel is the best in mumbai.it is located opposite of the gatway of india.hotel have 2 wings, palace wings and the tower wing.palace wing is the old wing and preferable to choose the room in this wing.excellent ambience, great service and a life time experience.morning breakfast was also very nice.
Awesome place to stay in..an experience of lifetime. Very well behaved staffs and great amenities in the room. Food in the restaurant is simply superbly delicious. A must place to visit. The view of sea outside hotel is breathtaking. Come fall in love with 'The Taj Mahal Palace.'
I had a recent long stay at the hotel with my family ( in the last week of December 2018). The hotel itself looks amazing, exactly what you would expect the symbol of Indian architecture and hospitality to look like. The housekeeping staff is wonderful and caring. At one point my mother had some some issues with her room, the staff went far and beyond to make sure she either gets another room, or feels comfortable in her existing room. One of us was having a massive seasonal cold and fever, and upon learning that the housekeeping staff left tond of ginger tea and made a nice warm bath with rose petals for him during the evening housekeeping session!! Most of the restaurant staffs extended the same courtesy and hospitality to us even though we were there at the busiest time of the year probably my with 1000s of people checking in in one day ! My experience at the hig tea was a little off ( I went for the tea alone and I did not experience the same courtesy from the staff that I experienced everywhere else). But some other issues aside, a memorable stay indeed.
Helpful tip: if breakfast in shamiana and sea lounge looks crowded, head out to the 16th floor of the souk in the taj towers. It quieter and amazing view, though a little bit short in their offerings. But if you make any specific request they will get it from the restaurants downstairs.
Located opposite to the Arabian Sea. The hotel is clearly visible from the Gateway of India. It is approximately 5 minutes in walking distance from Gateway of India and 3.4 km from the Marine Drive.
The rooms are provided with free Wi-Fi, good service with warm welcome. Marble bathrooms are present in the hotel and access to a private lounge serving drinks and appetizers. Suites provide living rooms, and the presidential suite provides a spa and a fitness room.
One of the best hotels in Mumbai. Right from the valet service to the intricate photos taken of dignitaries visiting taj mahal hotel, this hotel represents the epitome of service excellence
Go for a coffee at one of the various restaurants in the hotel. Make sure you have your taste of Japanese authentic food at wasabi restaurant. It's certainly an experience not to be missed.
Even after the terrorist attacks, Tak has its own fame and it's maintained still. Beautiful place to visit with good staff service and scenic beauty of sea.
One of the best hotel in India, Located at colaba mumbai, opposite to Gate way of india. everything is good, Service, staff, food and location.
