Great location overlooking the highline park. Comfortable bed and unique bathrooms.
Great location overlooking the highline park. Comfortable bed and unique bathrooms.
Beautiful rooms, great views, fantastic customer service, slick design throughout - totally the best hotel to stay in for a trip to NYC
Great environment, welcoming staff. Quiet rooms and very clean. Great restaurant, easy walk to lots of boutique
Great hotel with excellent ambience , good service , fantastic rooftop lounge, vibrant Biergarten and a classy italian restaurant
Trendy if not slightly quirky hip hotel in a hot area. Views are great. Rooms are basic for the money and pretty small with litte storage space but the bed is very comfortable. They have gone for a 70's style of black and wood and the shower opens into the room with no door. Nice bars and restaurant in the hotel. Staff very friendly and essential free WiFi is provided.
If you visit NYC you should add high line to your bucket list!
Love, love, LOVE The Standard Hotels. You cannot simply talk about it. You have to Experience!
Very well done interior and amazing location but outrageous prices
Location is great and close to Chelsea Market. Rooms are fine; a bit on the small side.
Fantastic room and service. Was a bit tricky to get to with the construction. Encouraged "theft" of 1984 was a nice touch.
This is not the first time I've been arriving, the level of the hotel and the services provided are consistently high. You rest assured that everything will be as it should be.
Great location, great decoration, friendly staff. The choice of dishes for breakfast is not too large, but there is everything that is needed. We had dinner paid - every evening you can choose from two options of dishes, everything is very tasty. The room has everything you need. Spacious bathroom.
You'll feel like one of the glitterati at this ultra cool hotel, surrounded by models and designers, and the stylish decor. Nevermind that the rooms are shaped so strangely that there's no place to open a suitcase. That's just the price of cool!
No line, but wouldn't let me in because I didn't bring my Canadian passport and would not accept a valid drivers license... other people were being refused too. Though no mention of this requirement anywhere.
Very beautiful place. I went to just take a walk and enjoy the city. Wonderful sights and some nights you can enjoy music and events.
All about the beer garden. Great prices and grateful beer and food.
Place is great, nice selection of German beer and piconic tabler. Who doesn't love picnic tables?
Went to biergarten. Great spot with good German beer and food. The pretzels were delicious and the bar even had curling! The only drawback was that all of the heat lamps were on and it was very warm.
Simply put; don't stay at this hotel. There are far more attractive and significantly less expensive options (like The Dream) nearby. Air B&B would also have a range of options. I stayed with my wife for a week at The Standard in mid October 2016. We didn't have the option to move to another hotel as the booking was prepaid and non-refundable. While as guests we found the staff and service in general to be at best, indifferent. On other occasions we found them rude and hostile. It seems the hotel management is primarily concerned with the patrons in the nightspots, bars and restaurants rather the the hotel guests. As paying guests we weren't permitted access to hotel bars due to private functions. They really don't care. The rooms are small and badly designed, particularly for storing clothing and luggage. The view from our room was fantastic.
I love this hotel and its location. The staff is friendly and helpful. It s such a hip
And cool place to stay at. Highly recommend it.
Pricey drinks on the rooftop bar, nice staff though!
Trendy hotel usually full of Googlers and tourists. The rooms are still great but the service has really gone downhill in the past couple of years.
We had a wonderful experience and time. The top of the highline bar is lovely, had one of the best cocktails of my life, great birthday dessert at the grill, fantastic view in the room, and very fun modern room. Check your room layout before bringing the kids though, our modern shower with clear glass facing the bed was great for two but would not have been great with kids :) Also parts of the meatpacking crowd are obnoxious, but worth bearing.
Blue tooth speaker took hr to fix, room less impressive than previous stay for more/+ money
Went for brunch, good service, good food. Would recommend it.
Really nice and different hotel. Rooms are really nice and you have great views. Showers are integrated in the room so it may not be a great idea to share a room but it looks great. The high line park passes below the hotel so it is really easy to go out and work there. Many things to do around and great places to eat. A really good choice to stay
Great rooms but service is severely lacking. Gym is definitely worth a visit: beautiful view.
Fantastic hotel!!! Great place to have a fun relaxing time. Beds are comfy. Best hotel in New York.
A very chic place to walk around and take a breather
Visited this hotel and I was amazed with the look. This hotel is so inviting with so many high quality rooms to choose from. I recommend you visit this hotel for a stay. The rooms are spacey and clean.
They've nice bars for different type of people and scene
Such a fun experience and a great way to see the city.
Fabulous location. Great view from our hotel room. Room service coffee saved my life.
Great location. Like the beer garden. Wouldn't share a room with a friend.
View is stunning, location is great, rooms are good, service is average and...
*** RUN AWAY! THERE IS HARDLY NO INTERNET CONNECTION - VERY BAD WIFI ***
Stopped in for drinks at the lounge. Drinks were tasty, service was great, and the ambience was especially nice. Everything you would expect from a high end hotel.
I asked if I could have my bed maid. They said yes, but she refused to leave with me.
My God, the nonsense in this hotel. The treatment to the client is terrible. Breakfast in a restaurant attached to the hotel where nobody is professional.
Very expensive for the bad service they give. Summary, money spent foolishly in a hotel that "pretends to be trendy"
The name speaks for itself . Great location always clean and attentive.
Very cool hotel in a great part of town. Very high end, but also quite old. Part of its charm ... but also a bit disappointing.
The rooftop is a must if you are visiting NY. The beers/cocktails are expensive but you get an awesome view of NY skyline.
The service was awesome.
Great place. Has so many different areas to eat and drink. Very good looking crowd.
A nice Boutique Hotel overlooking the famous High Line Park. All Hotel amenities are available and are top drawer. Comfortable restaurants to dine in. Worth a visit.
Highline is one of the best tour place that you can visit at N.Y. don't miss it!!
Very nice large open rooms with floor to ceiling windows. A bit on the pricey side, about 10 min walk from subway. The club upstairs can get quite noisy especially on weekends, don't live too high up. Views are unparalleled.
The have the best room service and food.
Great location, near High line park and art galleries.
The room was phenomenal. They had an amazingly attentive staff. The drinks at the ice ring and beer hall were great.
Wonderful roof top bar for viewing the city and meeting with clients.
Great place to stay with great views restaurants and night life
I like this spot for the most part. Very expensive but the out door beer garden is pretty fun and the beers are OK.
Friendly staff, clean very modern rooms with fun little touches, and a great location. Great experience all around.
Great place to stay in the meatpacking district. The views are incredible and really fun to watch people walk by on the High Line Park
The rooftop bar is amazing both for the view and for the atmosphere inside
Lovely hotel, hip, with the rooms a slight little bit more tiny than expected (I think the website looks very spacious), yet very elegant and comfy!
Mixed review. Location is decent, but not near the touristy stuff. Rooms are good size. Shower wasn't as good, and lacked basic hotel stuff like coffee and tea. Staff are nice. Awesome style though - if you like something quirky, this is for you.
Amazing hotel with great bars for a perfect NYC night
This hotel was great...trendy and close everything. I walked up to the desk and was greeted by Ana & Keebo. They were super pleasant and helpful. I had a great room with an amazing view!! Awesome stay all in all.
Okay, a bit expensive for the level, it's more the location than anything else
The best thing about the Standard are the elevators, nice ambient, audio and visually. The bar has views to the north and south and is best when there is a DJ or live music. It is a geographically well located money making machine that definitely needs a revamp to deliver decent value for money.
It was my first time staying at this hotel and was a little nervous because usually this level of hotel is usually out of my budget range.
Anyways, from the second I walked in the door, I was greeted and treated with the utmost respect. I arrived late due to a delayed flight, but the check in process could not have been any smoother. To top it off, the gentlemen assiting me gave me an upgrade because he said I looked exhausted - which I was! The room was on the small side, but you're smack in the middle of NYC so what would you expect, right?!
The view of the room was amazing - facing downtown over looking the Highline. Bed was extreemly comfortable and the food from room service was great. In the morning, as I was walking out, they offered to grab me a taxi which was real nice - a guy fresh out of Miami isnt really the best at this so I was grateful.
Overall this was a great experience and would most definitely stay here again, no questions asked.
I have grown up in this hotel. The Standard to me represents something few institutions in New York really can. Andres Balazs has done an amazing job of bringing elegance, sophistication, and everything trendy into an area that is now hustling and bustling with the arts. Whether you are dining at the Standard Grill, getting drinks at the beer garden, or having a night at the top of the hotel, you will not be disappointed. I am not passionate about the hotel industry like some people, but this hotel has got me hooked. Everything about the place screams glamour. Being a New Yorker, I have only been in the hotel rooms twice. The views are unbeatable, the room is sleek and sexy like the rest of the hotel, and the service was once again amazing. If you are anywhere near this hotel, you must check it out, just to see how the hotel fuses with the ever-popular high line.
