Cool place, great service and really good burgers and sweet potato fries.
They place has been done out really well. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and really good cocktails. Food looked great but was a little disappointing
Fantastic discovery on a rainy day in Edinburgh. Extensive cocktail selection with knowledgeable staff, be warned the one called pain killer really does stop you feeling anything, was delicious though. Also a small outside seating smoking and drinking area for those so inclined.
Took my daughter here for her birthday, and she loved it. Its a shame the one in Aberdeen has closed :(( great friendly atmosphere, with freat prices and food
Great experience but be prepared to book a table if u want to sit down
Great customer service and the food was great value for money.
Best cocktails ever. Super friendly staff. Definitely the best place to go!
My wine tasted like gin! The bar tender used a measurer for the wine which was definitely used with gin before! Do not recommend! Nice music though!
Good food located right off Princes Street. Milkshakes are great!
Love the milkshakes and the enviroment! But it's a bit overprized
Great place for food and drinks.
Bartender has spilt a coke on me and didn't even apologise :(
1st time was good but 16yr old returned few days after to enjoy what we ate on 1st visit to be refused entry .. in the daytime hours! Didn't want alcohol clearly - just food, so disappointed by service given on what should have been an enjoyable returning visit ... ended up at Cosmo's .. prefect service at an excellent place for dining in Edin. Avoided going back to Boozy Cows for this reason alone!
Tasty burgers and really friendly staff. Music is a bit loud though.
The atmosphere wasn't for me (graffiti walls, bit of an industrial feel, live music a bit too loud for the acoustics of the space), but that's just my taste and the food and service were great so I'm not complaining. Good variety on the menu and very tasty. Bit on the pricier side for a burger, but not outrageous. Great location as well, as long as you're not squeamish about homeless individuals that have a few spots they set up in the alleys nearby (very friendly people as well).
Great place in centre of Edinburgh, awesome burgers and cocktails :)
I love this place! Definitely my favourite
(have only had meals there)
Good place where for 12 pounds you can eat very well. It is very well decorated and cozy. In the afternoon / evening it is usually filled
Great staff and cocktails! The burgers are amazing! Definitely go there!
Only had drinks in this establishment and won' t be back. Each occassion bar staff reluctant to serve pretending they don't see you prefer stocking up or chatting to each other. When they do eventually decide to serve they bypass you to serve the younger clientel. This happened each time i went to the bar and at one point was the only customer but the bar staff still only served when another customer arrived. Felt invisible and an inconvienience so left the premises, their loss. Obviously dont cater for over 30's. Can not comment on food as did not eat here but not the cleanest of places either sticky floors, tables rarely cleaned.
Genuinely a hit or a miss, used to come here often and it was fab, great food and really good service. Came here on a week day last week and our order was wrong twice, second time we never even bothered with getting it sent back and half of the food was left. We got a discount but realistically, didn't even want to pay for the food it was that poor. Really disappointed considering this was a favourite place to come, unsure if we'll be back.
Good selection of cocktails but if you are looking for a beer it only has 3 options. Its quite dark but quite a cool place to go before dinner.
Delicous cocktails. Very young crowd, not really my thing but the staff were friendly and the owners have clearly put a lot of thought and effort in to making the place look the part.
Loved this place. Food amazing and cocktail menu has something for everyone.
Great tasting good value cocktails in fun atmosphere
Great food, great atmosphere, great choice of music and nice staff.
I come here for the painkiller! One of the best cocktails! Food is great and has a good atmosphere, one of Edinburgh hotspots to try
Really cool restaurant! Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Food was excellent and really interesting options, wanted to try about 5 or 6 of the options!! Would definately recommend!!
Very trendy with good food, friendly staff and a good crowd. One of the better bars in Edinburgh.
Im now sitting on the train travelling home and there is an awful boozy cow sitting opposite me. However your establishment was much more pleasant
Love this place. Drinks, food, staff, and music! All top notch.
Great selection of beers, very friendly staff. Funky
Overall not impressed, we asked for 2 things both out of stock... Could have been made easier if they had let is know before we waited an hour. Then one of our meals was cold, we made a mistake by not complaining at that point, however when we said when we went to pay (which we had to wait to do) we were given a bad attitude that said we should have said at the time.
We will not be back.
Great cocktails...would be nice to see more common cocktails. Bar staff not very friendly and clearly hate making cocktails!
U feel so welcome and the people there are very lively and excited xxxxxx it is a very creative place. The food is amazing. There is a wide variety to eat and the way things are presented it so outstanding xxx love it defintely recommend it xxx lots of deals there xxxx
Good burgers, The skinnies/fries were very spicy. The beer menu wasn't that well annotated but I managed to find a couple of good ones.
Amazing food, great atmosphere. If you miss this out of your trip you're doing yourself a disservice.
Fun and imaginative food choices! Laura was the best so see if she is working!
Great atmosphere, generally more for the younger generation.
Went for a drink tonight but because we weren't eating we were not made welcome. Arrogant bar staff
Great place with plenty of seating and drinks choices. Central location.
Really good cocktail bar, reasonably priced (for Edinburgh). Pleasant staff and a good atmosphere. Highly recommended for a drink or two on your way round Edinburgh.
Nice casual dining. Great options for all. Good options. Staff friendly. Loved it
Bex was the bomb so professionally meant to be in this place love everything about her and the establishment xxx and she wouldn't take a drink from us.
Cheers Bex xxxx
I love e the boozy cow!!! The Edinburgh one has a great size and location to it and have been in many times. Today however I was very disappointed. I ordered the wings with hot sauce, chips, burger and onion rings. It came in good time. When it was set down however I noticed there was no blue cheese dip, I scurried over to the waitress and said sorry I think the blue cheese dip is missing and she said ok and made her way to the kitchen. She returned saying sorry they have been making a big batch all day and it's not finished yet so here is some more thousand island. What?! Then eating the onion rings they were under cooked to the point there was flour in the middle of one and the batter was like eating a terrible undercooked cake. I mentioned it to another waitress with blue hair whom was lovely! Apologised and took our onion rings and drinks off of our bill and said sorry again. She was so great. It will not stop me going back, I think the first waitress was just having a bad day, everything was a hassle and came with an attitude. Chips were so good though! The cajun spice was a great touch, the wings themselves were good too.
Very bad service. We had a birthday party hear and they wanted us to have two separate tables so we would be sitting with our backs together. When ask to move the tables we were met with a horrible response from the waitress who then went More
A great place to eat . No knives and forks need just get stuck in to some of the tasty's food in Edinburgh
Do you want to have amazing food?
Fancy a really nice burguer with proper fries?
Do you wanna make sure you are going to have and incredible experience?
If your answer is Yes, then the boozy cow is your place.
It was pissing outside. We where tired and we wanted a really nice meal. But we tried of paying a furtune for food that does not fulfill our needs. Suddenly, we saw this place, "the boozy cow" and we went in, and just from that instant we stepped inside we knew we were going to have an amazing experience.
We arrived and there was someone waiting for us.
They quickly accommodate us and explained how everything works. We ordered a lot of food because we were starving. So we get a burguer (with doble pattie and caramelized onion), the chilly dog, chilly fries, cheese skinny fries and an Oreo milkshake.
Amazing. Everything was perfect. We meaby ordered far too much but was exquisite. All very well season and cooked. It tasted ultra nice.
If you don't know what to order, chilly fries are a must.
The staff was magnificent, very kind, all the time asking how was everything, and making us feel like at home.
Definitely, a place to go where you need quality and a good experience.
Worth every penny. Trust me.
Thanks so much to the people who makes The boozy cow experience possible. You guys are amazing. Thanks.
It is a unique place but I wasn t too impressed with the staff or quality of the cocktails. My friend and I ordered two cocktails each and both times, they didn t have all the ingredients. Also the bartenders left me waiting at the bar while they laughed and joked around with each other.
Deer burger was incredible, and the live music was an amazing touch. Great venue, if I lived here I'd definitely come back regularly. Cheers from Canada!
This place was pretty cool. You walk down a flight of stairs into this lower level bar. I wouldn't consider it a pub by any definition. It has a new school feel with tagging and art along all the walls. The bartenders are definitely on point with their drinks... very delicious.
Such a vibe! Mouth watering burgers and some of the best sweet pot fries to date! Great service!
Good food and drink but phone signal is poor and the wifi could be easier to connect too
Great atmosphere, awesome cocktails. Go here, you will have a good time.
Absolutely nothing bad to say. The food is just a sloppy messy meaty scrumptious experience. The lager on draft i gave a 3/5, freindly staff and you NEED the wet wipes after.
I recommend the halumi fries
Awesome interiors, food is great and cool cocktails and milkshakes
Went in today got told by a member of staff behind the bar to sit down and we will bring you menus, so waited 15minutes still no menus and watching 2 members of staff talking to someone at the bar. Poor service didn't bother waiting around.
Smells awful. Couldn't eat a thing because of the overwhelming smell of piped awful artificial Christmas aroma. Too much:(
Fantastic food with a great atmosphere. If ordering chips maybe go one between two people. The portions are pretty big for just one person.
Love this place, cocktails are always fab and staff are very friendly
