The chili cheese fries were fantastic! Despite being insanely busy, we got food and boozy milkshakes pretty quickly. Reasonably priced.

Good burgers, in a downstairs bar. Friendly and relaxed staff. A little bit to loud for communication.
Absolutely abysmal. Below average food that is overpriced. The service is just ridiculous. Had to wait a long time for the waitress to come to our table to order. Just a mess
Fantastic burger place with that alternative vibe, graffitis on the walls, modern music, food served on trays and soft drinks in tin cans. The battered pickles are a must try! Overall the prices could be a bit cheaper for what you get so that's why no perfect score.
Nice foodie, good location. Friendly and smiley staff
Very good food and great music playing, plus cold Tennent's beer!
The waitresse make us sit and ask us to leave the place AFTER we paid for our drinks because she wanted the table for another group ordering dinner.
She did not even let us finish our drinks and ask us to sit at the bar where there were no seat left... She does absolutely not care about the situation and let us have our drinks stand up...
Definitely a place to avoid if you are a a foreigner...
Attentive waitress, prompt order arrival, delicious food...Was just visiting Edinburgh for the day. The Boozy Cow was recommended by friends....good food, quirky decor, definitely worth the visit. Will go again next time in Edinburgh.!!!
nice snd creepy design. we had two burgers and one salade. cesar salade was good. the burgers not so tasty, not the best choise!! city center so prices standard for the location. we receved a refreshing moist towelette to clean up hands after the burgers(nice idea).

Boozy Cow serves really good food at a price just a shade too high. Their burgers are genuinely excellent, but come with no sides, all of which must be ordered separately and are not cheap. The cocktails and shakes are again, really tasty - and just that bit more pricey than they're worth.
Staff were OK. Polite and friendly, but hard to flag down and didn't take one of our table members allergies seriously. Seemed to think that an allergic reaction had to be either anaphylaxis or it wasn't real.
When we went out, they were advertising on the Premium Benefits website as accepting their discount card, but refused it on the day. Not great.
Was good, very much like Meat Liquor so no newness here. Service was okayish...
The best bar I went to on my trip through the UK last December. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and live music. Wish I had found it sooner
They've taken allot of care with the food. The burgers are delicious, good selection of beer, quite a loud pub vibe if your just wanting a quite one, but, the burger will be worth it.
Absolutely love this restaurant. Never had food as good as this. it's own unique style on food, eating and even the decor just makes it a brilliant experience everyone should try
Overpriced watered down drinks, staff that clearly couldn't care less ran by hipsters for hipsters awful place, will never step foot in the place again left hungry
Will recommend this place to anyone that wants something really greasy to eat! :) Great cocktails aswell! Well worth a visit!
The tap beers were off, but had a good range of overpriced cans
This place had amazing food . And great service. Should check it out
Great artwork on the walls! Food was very good and so was the service!
Great cocktails, friendly staff and reasonable prices.
Great range of cocktails and milkshakes. Ok burgers but pricey compared to back home
Staff very friendly, premises cold in side ( had to keep our coats on)food good .
OK so its very different from your usual eating experience, your encouraged to eat with your fingers and get messy so it wont be everyone's thing for sure but the food tasted amazing and the guys working there were amazing, really friendly and helpful. If your feeling like you want a change from the norm and a casual easy going lunch definitely try it!
Great burgers, nice atmosphere, good service and a large beer selection.
Great burgers and nice cocktails......what more could you want.
Great vibe good music great food all fresh ingredients .A very good selection of beers wines and spirits . Friendly staff good to go alone or with friends .
Great art deko type place to enjoy fantastic food and drinks great service and lovely vibes.
Good atmosphere and very good burgers, the only thing is that maybe they have too much sauce, if you are not used it can be a bit heavy. I personally like them with less to be able to savor the ingredients well.
Love this place great food..there cheesy chips and macaroni waffle are so good! Burgers are to die for. Amazing milkshakes which change every week, cheak there Facebook account to see what it is. Always busy but they seat you quickly enough.
Me and my boyfriend went twice over the weekend. The staff were very kind, shout out to Jake for helping us where to go next for a good night out and mixing us some lush cocktails after asking about out drink preferences
I always visit here whenever I'm in Edinburgh. The food is always amazing and the staff are always lovely.
A vibrant, edgy bar and restaurant, which has a certain avant-garde air with a slight level of feist.
Ok...pay separately for fries with a burger...that's not right
No seats for drinks all reserved for eating and noone there
Drinks are fantastic, unique scene, the hamburgers had to much of a Lipton soup or meat loaf taste, definitely had better. But servers were friendly. Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe,Red Robin or Carl Jrs burgers are more my families style.
Pretty basic burgers. Didn t taste like anything special. Not much flavour. Neat and bread a bit dry. Expensive for what it is. No sides with the burger so you have to pay for those extra. Drinks very pricey as well. Most cost as much or more than the food. The atmosphere was cool - like a grungy basement. Service was good.
Exemplary service and could not fault the place if I tried, the modern cozy vibe makes for a lovely watering hole which also serves some mean burgers to boot. An essential stop if you want to experience the city in all its glory
Great for beer and burgers, the place has great character and music. Good for lunch or a stop by fors drinks and a bite in the evening. And if you need help with what to try on the menu, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Great place with great atmosphere with delicious food (burgers and those cheese skinnies fries) and amazing range of cocktails! Either for food or drinks(sometimes with live music), this place is perfect!
This is a really quirky little place where you can get alcoholic milkshakes in little milk bottles!
It makes you feel really nostalgic, back when you used to have milk bottles at school!
They usually have a special milkshake as well so be sure to try that!
The food here is also AMAZING!
I really recommend the deep fried pickles!
The portion sizes are huge as well so you always get your money s worth!
The staff are really happy and friendly and the bar itself is quite cosy! The lifting can be a little dim, but other than that it s nice!
One of the strangest bars we have ever been to. The name of it is what sold us. Staff was nice!
Pretty good atmosphere and staff. Food was good but not competing with the best in town for burgers.
We went in here for some cocktails since my parents were "cocktail virgins". The atmosphere was great, the bar staff were very friendly and knowledgeable when it came to what a newbie should try first. We didn't try the food, but we have heard some good things about it, we will be sure to try the menu next time!
Overall, this was a great experience and would recommend it to someone wanting to try some cool and adventurous drinks.
Great place for unusual cocktails, friendly staff and great pub food staples.
Actually the best place around. Great atmosphere brilliant burgers and smashing cocktails.
This restaurant was fine, but I spent two weeks in Galway, London, and Edinburgh in July/August 2018 and this was my worst dining experience, and it was still pretty good. Service was slow by anybody's standard and the food was average...a dry cheeseburger. Atmosphere was good.
Very loud crammed venue and food wasn't amazing. Disappointed, as we really like the Aberdeen branch. This was a let down.
Average burgers which are pretty fairly priced... main saving grace are the cheese fries and fried pickles. Amazing.
Lovely burgers. Great cocktails. Bit pricey but worth it for the odd treat. Good patient helpful staff ,we were a bit drunk, our waitress helped us decide where we'd go next. Cool decour etc
Friendly place, pleasant staff and nice choice of cocktails
Foods good ands it's brilliantly messey eating. Fantastic atmosphere and decor if your a bit into the punk / rock sphere.
Nice food, minimal draft beers but good for cocktails
Friendly stuff and really tasty burgers. Been twice already and more trips planned.
Bit pricey on beer though.
Great place for drinks and what a Phillie cheese !!
Hidden away behind a little unassuming door, but inside is really amazing. Really awesome decoration.
Food was fantastic, had the holy cow burger, cheesy fries, and the mac and cheese waffle. I thought I would be able to handle to eat it all but no its far too much food for one person. Wished I could have eaten more as it was so fantastic.
Good selection of drinks too. I had the cold town beer which is local and that was delicious.
Would definitely come again!
