Just couldnt walk by without getting the taste of that name "The Boozy Cow".
We tried the Red Hot Chili Burger and The Heatwave with Chili frites. The place well deserves the 4. Place on my top burger places.

Cool place and excellent burgers. You can find burgers in every restaurant in the UK, but there are just few with really nice burgers which are not too dry, not too juicy and well flavoured. This place is one of them. The service is also good! Highly recommended!

Pro's:

Pro's:

Tasty food
Reasonable price*

Con's:

Food all crammed onto one tray between the two of us with no extra side plates for sauce or anything.

The 'crispy' wings are not crispy.

The burger 'dipped' in the sauce I thought sounded really tasty, was only a drizzle. Struggled to taste it in most bites and had to make do with ketchup for the rest which definitely wasn't as nice.

Overall: I think the attempt to save money has left a couple of holes that maybe some people might not be too bothered about, but if I'm expecting one thing and get another I will usually not be pleased. The price is reasonable for the food you get but I would have been happy with a slightly smaller burger (I got three massive breasts on it when one and a half would have been enough) with a lot less salad and slaw (the slaw actually made the bun soggy wet) on my own plate with the amount of sauce advertised. By no means bad, but if you haven't been there already you might feel a bit put out by the serving standards.

Excessively expensive for a standard burger with no difference in taste. The boxed juice doesn't justify the value either. Although the atmosphere has a vibe, it is also not comfortable and cozy that justifies the expensive value of its menu.

Quality of food was very good, although food came inside a tray rather than individual plates, not easy to eat from. It had an interesting atmosphere. One of the waitresses was very friendly, another one quite rude. The manager was attentive and gave us a discount, after we complained about the rudness, which was a nice gesture.

Great atmosphere. Super trendy, friendly staff. Very concerned about food allergies for some reason. Service was good. A mistake with our order was rectified in less than 60 seconds. Food was wonderful. Spicy wings and maple cheddar burger was to die for. We were in Edinburgh for two nights and ate here both nights. I'll definitely be back again

Nice burgerplace with good burgers and excellent fries. A bit dark in the back, but other than that a good place to sit. Staff was okay and so were the prices. If you're looking for good burgers in Edinburgh, this is a good place.

Food is alright. The place itself is alright too. A bit small I'd say, but good. The music is extremely loud for such a small area, so don't expect to socialise much, cos you cannot hear your own thoughts. You do need to wait for quite a bit to get your drink. Even if it is just a beer. But selection of cocktails is very wide, which is a win.

Lovely food and specialising in cocktails and real beers. Urban style bar / restaurant, very popular with young trendy adults. Was very busy and really packed in the bar area when we visited. Perfect location just off Princes street, very handy for shopping and sight seeing.

Cool little place just off the radar. Great theme and lovely staff. Despite being short staffed at the time, they let us know and really did their best to serve everyone and keep things running smoothly. Cocktails were amazing and unique. Good was really good quality and the portions were extremely generous too. Would definitely go again!

We had a very dissappating meal at Boozy Cow last week. The burgers are below par and are nowhere near as good as the reviews here claim. They lack flavour and have hardly any meat in them, especially for the price. It's ridiculous that they decide to make two tiny burgers in a large bun - they just don't fill the bread and you end up with loads of bread and no burger.

The chicken burger was just as sad - we had the heatwave one which amounted to a very boring fried chicken, which didn't seem very fresh, and a few Doritos in a bun.

The service was also poor, with nobody coming to check on us during our meal.

The only redeeming factor here was the sides - the fries and haggis nuggets were good.

Fortunately the waitress who took our payment seemed to be quite concerned and agreed with our feedback - having already given us a discount we were happy to not pay full price, but wouldn't have been ok if the bill wasn't reeuced.

The cocktail's are the best the pink angel is my favourite! . It's not too expensive either. Definitely my favourite place to go for burgers!

Average burgers enveloped in a huge breadbun. Don't be fooled, the sides are only one person portion not for two as we were advised (3 guys). Cheery service, cool music and a sweet treat of cola bottles on departure
