Stayed here many times in the past, but sadly needed to change my rating from 5 to 3 this trip. Really didn't want to be traveling in pandemic times, but needed to come to AZ for business so came here feeling a bit more confident since we're familiar. Of course the place looked pretty empty, but 1st issue was when we asked for a room that had not been occupied for the last 2 weeks we were told there weren't any. It's an immense property so seems unlikely, but what can you do. She assured us they sanitize, but I told her pillows are the problem. We placed towels under the cases. 2nd issue was when we went to the lounge for a beer and quick dinner. Seems the servers/bartender had friends at the bar and couldn't be bothered paying attention to other customers. Saw us walk in and sit down, but never acknowledged us. We waited awhile, but ended up leaving and going outside for food. So much for the convenience of services on the property. We come here each year with a group of friends for car shows, but a return is questionable after this disappointing visit.

We were hassled twice from the resort staff in the last 12 hours about our medium level music, we re on vacation at an above average resort in Scottsdale, I m not sure what the expectations are... we work hard and are trying to enjoy ourselves in our private bilevel suite, very unpleasant and has put a damper on the whole trip, we only came here because the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess was completely booked and had no rooms available
This is a beautiful resort with 8 different pools to lounge around in. They literally cart you around (golf carts) the property if you need to get anywhere if you dont feel like walking. The property is huge. They also have a shuttle service that's more of a convenience thing then anything and will drop you off and pick you up anywhere in the immediate Scottsdale area. The staff is super friendly, and the rooms are great. I always take a hot tub by the pool early in the morning to start off the days. I would highly recommend this resort to everyone. Lots to do in Scottsdale too.
Loved this resort. The drivers at this resort are top notch. Bob was outstanding. The fact that they will drive you where you want to go within 5 miles really was great. Tip these guys they deserve it, they offer a wealth of information from facts about this great state to delicious restaurants. The breakfast buffet is delicious as well as the lunch we enjoyed poolside. We visited during the slow season and it was super quiet. We had the pool to ourselves several times. They have a good workout area as well Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Attended the Plaza's great Easter buffet with friends and family! Has become a tradition of the family for some time. Crab legs, variety of meets and cheese, assorted desserts and fruits, pretty much everything you need for brunch. Can't say much about the rooms as I haven't stayed. Poolside looks very enticing though!
Stayed last weekend, it was our 10 yr anniversary! Front desk upgraded our room & gave us a free meal voucher! Room was clean & comfortable, patio opened out to one of the pools! Room service was good but we did try to go the the restaurant, went to bar got a drink, bartender told us we could just grab a table and someone would be right with us. We sat for 10+ mins watching tables around us get service, no biggie, until we turned around and realized that the 2 tables behind us that were empty when we sat down, now had people sitting at them and both had a server at the table. We waited another minute or two and just settled up with the bartender and left.
I loved my stay here. Amazing staff and amazing facilities. This was this nicest hotel I've stayed at. The staff really take care of you and are super quick to help you or serve you. We had a 4 day conference here and it was just super great. I loved the location and the weather. The food here is amazing. So good and well prepared. I'd gladly go back any chance that I got.
This was a 300$ a night hotel and it came with nothing no free breakfast nothing there was no tv guide this place is a rip off not worth it's price at all
My wife and I do a lot of traveling but this was the nicest place we've ever stayed at. Check in was wonderful and prompt. The room and grounds were pristine. We also had dinner and breakfast there - the food was great. Highly recommend staying here.
The stay in this resort is just awesome, the spa, the pools are just amazing. The only thing is they should put trash bags in the trash cans, it is more sanitary.
We only visited the bar in the evening. We had a table outside. Our server was slow and off-putting. The appetizer was not hot and only tasted ok. My date ordered a drink that was made with lemonade and the lemonade was terrible. The bussers threw dirty napkins into the firepit at the table next to us. So.... there were little pieces of flaming napkin flying over our heads and around our feet. We were concerned that it would set the tree above it on fire.
Great stay! The other reviews on here are not anywhere near our experience - we loved it! Room was very clean and updated. Interesting gold-finish in the bathroom and the water pressure was amazing - feels good on tired muscles. The refrigerator was nice and cold and everything was clean. We were traveling to Scottsdale just one night from Las Vegas to Los Angeles - stopped in Phoenix for a baseball game at Chase Field. Awesome vacation!!

If your idea of luxury is having an attendant at your side waiting to wipe the foie gras off your chin, perhaps the Plaza is not the place for you. But they have done a remarkable thing. The Scottsdale Plaza has managed to provide an upscale experience without the snoot. The property and amenities are clearly a cut above, and yet the staff, while professional, are genuinely welcoming and friendly.

The grounds are lush, beautiful and immaculate. In some areas, they literally rise to the level of a botanical garden with little placards providing the name and information about the various species of plant. It was a curiosity that during our 11-night stay, we never heard a mower or leaf blower, and yet there wasn't a blade of grass out of place. Amazing. At night, the property is transformed into an oasis of light. On a warm summer night, the effect is mesmerizing. Seeing Camelback Mountain dimly backlit by the lights of Phoenix only added to the experience.

We were fortunate to have stayed in both the Courtyard and Executive Lodge sections of the hotel. The Courtyard suite was very nice with lots of room and all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. When that section of the hotel had to be shut down for maintenance on the Courtyard pool, we moved to one of the Executive Lodges. The Sonoran Suite was extravagant. 1,300 square feet of luxury with living room, dining area, kitchen, wet bar, guest bathroom, huge bedroom, and large master bathroom with jacuzzi tub. It also offered a gated entrance, three patios, and was steps away from the (semi-private) pool.

The summer menu items at the on-site restaurants would best be described as 'comfort food', but that's not to say in any way inferior. It's just not 'haute cuisine', if that's what you're after. Every dish we had was delicious and pleasantly inventive, including the Shrimp BLT, Thai Salad, DL Burger, and Poke. The wood-fired pizza was very good with a satisfying number of variations. The Plaza Benedict was made with the most tender ham steak I've ever had. Unless your palate is a little too fussy, you won't go hungry at the Plaza.

Our experience at the Scottsdale Plaza Hotel was a perfect 10. But you have to be a little wary of reviews that are 100% positive, so I'll offer this one criticism: The guest bathrobes were slightly over-starched . . .

Very nice hotel. Very clean. Nice location. And very nice views. Stayed there for 4 nights with wife and kids. Room service is a little pricy but we just went out to eat. No biggie. Room service did a good job. Pools are very nice. Will be coming back. RECOMMENDED!
Excellent quality in service staff, spaces and support for our conference. A few flubbs at the front desk indicate some communication issues may exist there. The 24 hot tub was beautiful, as were the grounds and accomidations.
Stayed here about a week, very happy. Great multiple pool options, hot tub, well maintained and beautiful lawns. Conveniently located to restaurants and exhibits. Definitely would stay again!
We went here with friends for the Easter brunch (their treat). The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The pool area was inviting with plenty of shaded areas and misters. The bathrooms in the buffet area were clean with pleasantly scented soap. The buffet had a wide ranging selection and included champagne and mimosas. Good times.
This is a beautiful resort. They have a great and attentive staff, an amazing day spa, a superb breakfast with an amazing Sunday brunch. And JD's lounge has a bomb menu and great prices, plus live music on Friday and Saturday night
Love this place and stay here every chance I get. The second you walk in someone says hello. Knowledgeable, kind and friendly service. Incredible property, beautiful pool, delicious food, rooms are immaculate, the perfect distance from Old Town Scottsdale. If you ever get the chicken and bacon mac n'cheese from JD's, you will thank me.
Had the nicest stay there with my kids for Mother's Day weekend. Mother's Day brunch was amazing! So relaxing and the bartenders at the cabana bar were friendly and nice!
Attended a conference at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. It was a very nice venue. We used the large conference room. There was a light breakfast and nice lunch served. I would recommend this venue for any conference for about 200-300 people.
Stayed a week for a conference and had a lovely visit! Staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and the shuttle drivers were prompt and accommodating. The rooms were a nice size and the pools were great too. Small issues with keycard but other than that, would recommend.
I attended an event for ISCS to only see the keynote speaker. The event was held inside a tent on the exterior of the resort where lunch was served. Lunch was great and wait staff was accommodating. The venue was classicly decorated and the audio was seamless. Parking was valet and signage was clear for the event. I would attend for another conference or event.
Really enjoyed our stay a the Plaza! Was only there for one night as stay-cation but great facilities nonetheless. Pool was clean and refreshing. Also they have onsite cold filtered water stations next to the ice machines so that was a classy touch.
I can't say enough about our stay here, it's been hands down the most enjoyable place to stay!!! The staff has been amazing and the rooms are gorgeous!!! Will definitely be making this our go to spot when in Arizona!!
Okay resort. HoHum sums it up. Room was comfortable and clean but bland. Pool areas wet but bland. Lobby decent and the gift shop and sports bar were awesome. The live entertainment in the sports bar was a really good thing.
I have stayed there many times always with nothing but wonderful experiences. I always stayed in the casitas with private hot tub in the back yard or porch. Roomy, clean,no complaints from me at all.
Came in for a getaway with my wife during the off season. Rooms are neat and tidy and the pool areas are great. We were booked for a king room and were given a location near the spa. Fantastic value for the price and everyone from front reception to spa employees have been very nice. Would not hesitate to stay again.
Nice hotel. Friendly stuff. Unfortunately got some wrong information but fortunately on nothing serious. Clean and interior in a good condition. The rooms could have some more or brighter lights installed. The window cannot provide enough light and even if so, you might wanna close the curtain in order to have some privacy.
Otherwise my full recommendation. The location is great!
My husband and I stayed for our Honeymoon and have stayed once before that. The ground are beautiful. We stayed in December, so any time, day or night, was good for a stroll around the grounds that had great landscaping. Pool is beautiful with waterfall in front of jacuzzi. It felt very fancy. The room was spacious with a bathroom up and downstairs and a large fireplace. We had a view of a little white gazebo from our balcony. The staff were very friendly and always available to help us with whatever we needed. The hair stylist in the salon was even able to get my hair to take the colour red after years of bleach damage. We had a great time at the bar, chatting with the staff. December is a great time to go. It is quiet and Arizona has ideal weather. Prices were as expected. No complaints there. I had a fantastic time and would love to revisit.
This place is good. But I have 2 complaints. 1) being that they didn't have a MICROWAVE. If they had a microwave I would've been set. But nooooo they didn't have one. The 2) being that don't have a basketball court. All I wanted to do was place bball but couldn't. Why. Cause they don't have a stupid basketball court. Anyway everything else was good. Also when y'all say heated pool actually make it heated. It was freezing balls when we got in -Thank you
This resort is amazing. Wish I would have stayed another night. Our golf cart driver was amazing and took us on a fun tour of the resort. We also did a great scavenger hunt. I highly suggest spending your vacation here.
We stayed here for a few days for a wedding and enjoyed ourselves. The condo-style suite was large enough for our young son to run around in, the pools was a nice escape from the heat, and the staff was very accomidating to our family. It was a nice resort and a good place to stay in Scottsdale, especially for a wedding.
