I enjoyed our room but it did not have a Mountain View so that was disappointing. The resort has three very nice pools and a huge hot tube in the main pool area. I was actually staying there for a wedding which is a nice venue for that as well.

This place is awesome. As Expedia VIP members, we were treated great by Mario at the front desk upon arrival. Upgraded us to a fantastic suite with a more private pool which is so warm it's like a huge bathtub. This is a switch because occasionally I am treated like a second class citizen when I book though Expedia as opposed to directly. The room is by far the nicest room we've ever stayed in and we've done lots of traveling. Clean, cool, spacious... first class all the way.

We stayed here for a week and a half as a base camp for our activities. For a family with a lot of comings and goings it was great! Not sure I would have chosen it for a romantic getaway. The pools were great! The room service over priced but that's normal. I would stay again.

Nice place to stay. The room was huge, the beds were very comfortable, the air conditioner worked great, the towels were luxurious, and the staff was very friendly. We only stayed one night so we didn't get much of a chance to use the amenities but we did order room service and that was very good and timely as well.

Awesome pool/jacuzzi side suite that's steps away from your back patio

The service there was great, Gordon from the front desk (Korean guy) moved us to a suite with a better view and was very accommodating. Would come back here again for sure

This place will find a way to charge you for just about anything and they are overpriced as a rule. I was most angry about minibar charges that appeared on my bill despite me never touching the refreshments. When I questioned the charges, they refused to listen. You pay through the nose to stay here, without much actual value, and then they stand firm on unjustified charges. I see that another user has complained about the price of in-room internet. What he forgot to mention is that the Resort charges $12.95 per day PER DEVICE! If you have a tablet and a laptop, connecting both will cost you $26. Two stars, at best.

Long post but unless you want a maid to let a stranger into your room, I suggest you read on...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over the weekend while in town for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. I received a call Sunday night at 6:15pm saying our room had been broken into by the head of security. As learning more about what happened, they told us the maid let some random guy into our room and told her she could leave, so she did. After that, this man locked the door and latched it shut. A few minutes later she went back because she left her phone and couldn t get inside. At that point he left through the patio door.

After more questions, we realize he was let into our room at 11am, we did not receive a call until 6:15pm- 7 hours later. My suitcase had been gone through and shoes were stolen. Also, conveniently there are no cameras in the area of the resort where our room was.

The next morning when we were checking out we talked with Mario, who told us that the GM named Travis would call us later that day- he never called, I had to call 2 times before he called me back. Once he called me back he offered to cover 1 night stay to cover the cost of my shoes. He did not offer anything else until I told him that was not ok, they jeopardized our safety and security. I told him he needed to cover our stay as well as the cost of my shoes($150 Nike running shoes). He agreed and issued a credit. Well here we are 3 days later, our card got charged for everything and haven t seen a credit.

Today my husband called Travis back to ask about the credit and the reimbursement of my shoes and he told my husband he has paid us enough and did more than he should have and wasn t going to give us anything additional for my shoes. Travis then turned around and called me, said the same thing so I told him I expect a call from his boss within the hour.

David(apparently President & CEO) called me, when I asked if he knew about what happened he said yes. So I walked him through all my concerns and frustrations, none of which he cared about besides the fact that they covered our say. They have still not filed a police report. Actually when I asked about it his response was I am good friends with the Scottsdale Police Department. I told him I couldn t believe they are fighting me over $150 pair of shoes that was stolen out of my room that was their fault he still held strong that they have already done more than enough. When I told him I was going to write a review his response was youre going to exploit me for $150? I also told him I couldn t believe as a President and CEO he is wasting more time fighting with me about then doing what is right, to which he responded most President s and CEO s wouldn t take your call .

I work for a CEO directly and know he would be upset that he was having to be brought in to solve the problem.

They are more concerned about money than they are their guests safety and security. I am currently working with the Scottsdale Police Department in hopes for some resolution. Do yourself a favor and do not ever stay here. Terrible customer service, terrible safety & security.

Great location, room was excellent, wonderful shower, staff could not have been nicer. Pool areas, tennis, courtyard all very inviting. Only argument would be price on sundries, a bit higher than even airport prices. Otherwise fantastic location. Look forward to visiting again.

My wife and I found this place on one of the online booking sites and thought it's cheap and on Scottsdale Rd, why not. It's way better than the price would suggest. The rooms are top notch and clean and quiet. The food is excellent and the pools are super nice (I'm a Colorado guy; it's rare I see a pool in November). The staff is super friendly but not overly friendly. I highly recommend this place.

The resort definitely feels like a vacation destination! We held a company meeting here and the staff treated us well the whole duration. The rooms, halls, fitness center and restaurants fit the high-end Scottsdale neighborhood and landscape perfectly.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a professional or personal vacation!

I came here for a work event. Overall experience was amazing. The only thing I noticed was the staff are far too.over attentive. If was afraid that if I turned my back to drink, it would be gone by the time I turned around.

Have stayed previously at this location and hope that Marriott would use this as their benchmark for service and cleanliness. Arrived late on Friday night prior to an early morning flight. Kristy assured me I would still be able to get a dinner and even offered to have it brought to my room if I would like. You could not ask for a friendlier and more helpful staff.

This resort exceeded my expectations. They kindly upgraded my room for me and my daughter just so we could be right next-door to my husband and two sons. This made my day for sure! The staff is wonderful, extremely helpful, and so pleasant. Also I have to add that I honestly have the best sleep I ve ever had away from home, I was very very surprised. The Pillows are so comfy! We were able to snag a summer deal that included meals and the rates were very reasonable. The food was pretty good, a little bit expensive, but that s expected at a resort. All in all my family and I will be going back. Great clean experience

The staff is friendly and prompt to respond no matter what. They are a great place to hold an event. I did find there stores to be expensive and I have no knowledge of the food because of that. The have an expanse of things to do from swimming to playing on there tennis courts.

Great stay, enjoyed the resort set up. Lots of space. Food was amazing, loved the wood fired pizza. If you re looking for a place in old town Scottsdale this is it. Right on the edge so you re close enough to enjoy, but right outside so parking and sound isn t an issue. Great Camelback mt. views.

Great room, good prices, breakfast buffet was ok, they need to get a better consistency with their chefs in the morning. Grounds were beautiful except the construction going on. Had a minor issue with spiders, but was resolved quickly by hotel personnel

A premium location, super clean rooms, pet friendly and a polite staff. We are local, but needed a place to stay for just over a week. The Scottsdale Plaza was perfect for my husband and I & our small dog. We stayed in a ground level Villa Suite. The entire staff was polite and friendly- from the front desk to housekeeping to the wait staff & bartender at JD's. The room had a large living area, desk, wet bar, private patio and a separate bedroom/bathroom area. The room was clean and the beds & linens were comfy.
We loved that the bathroom vanity area was separate from the shower & toilet room. (There was no bathtub which may be a negative for someone else, but not for us.) The shower was awesome & even had soft water- a huge plus especially if you live in Az. The wet bar/kitchen had a mini fridge (no freezer), microwave & sink. The patio was spacious & private. We LOVED the water and ice "hydration stations" located just a few steps from every room. We ordered take-out from JD s several times and the food was pretty good, we LOVED the pizza !
The grounds are beautiful with large grassy areas everywhere you look- this was a huge plus for us because we don't go anywhere without our dog. Although we didn t get a chance to use one of the pools, they were clean and appeared to be party and family/kid friendly. The Scottsdale Plaza is a definite yes for me.

Nice resort in a nice location. Open, spacious feel, and friendly staff. Easy to get to and various things to do in the area, whether it's dining, shopping, sightseeing, or whatever people wanna do around Scottsdale. FYI the Irish pub bar inside though is very pricey and the food isn't too great, so I don't recommend eating there (don't worry, there's a ton of better places nearby that aren't overpriced and have much better food).
