Absolutely beautiful resort. The grounds are beautiful with lush foliage everywhere. The resort is also located near the Fashion Mall and other activities such as Old Town.
One of the America s most exotic resorts & Gorgeous hotels built to resonate Spanish style architectures. The moment you step in you find yourself in the middle Andalusian style and strong vibe. Great staff a must to see & experience. Everything about this resort is A+.
First rate and very attentive, especially Jake!! The server in MixUp last night was exceptional as well, wish I remembered her name.
Went on a Thursday for burgers and bourbon at the bar. Great selection of bourbon and Erik was a great bartender!
My send time being there and it always a joy to be there
Love doing Spa day with my girlfriends, relaxing massage. The women's Jacuzzi was a bit small and also their Steam Room.
Love going to our annual Ladies breakfast event there. The food is always wonderful!
This is a beautiful, classic Southwestern European style resort.
I was attending the Royal Palms for a wedding - it is a picturesque venue with friendly staff and good food. The hotel facilities looked great too.
We went for a massage and to use the spa facility. We loved the steam room and pool.
This place was amazing....super luxurious but intimate at the same time. I will definitely be back!
The service was not at par with the rating. But pretty clean
I did not stay here but I did pick up a friend who was staying there. The room and bathroom were large. The decor does need to be updated but it's clean.
Needed a vacation from the vacation. Royal Palms was the icing on the romantic Cake
Wonderful! We did not stay the night but were here for a wedding and reception. all were exceptional and gorgeous. the food was delicious and shout out to our server Jose for taking great care of our table all evening! Fantastic venue for a wedding!!
Beautiful resort. Great atmosphere, great food, and great amenities. Nice room, comfy bed, and spacious bathroom. Enjoyed our visit.
My favorite resort in all of Arizona. The service, the mountains, the food make it all worthwhile. I wish I could live here. It would be complete utopia.
Fantastic!!!!!!
Beautiful view, The friendliest staff! They go out of their way to make your stay special! Quiet, but right in the heart of the activity... location is perfect, Great hiking very close... highly recommend.
First off, if i was writing this review based on the hotel alone i would give 5 stars. I also had the best massage of my life by Lisa she was amazing!. Now my poor review is because of the pedicure i received. Now, i am a heavy set woman, not too big but I have a little meat on my bones. The nail tech said "now you know i cant give you the full massage right?"I said "no why? I just had an eighty minute massage." She said oh you did?! Suprised. I said why, did you think I was pregnant or something? She said "well you know you're wearing a big robe, so I had to make sure." Now not only did this ruin my whole trip and stay at the resort. But it took away any relaxation that i had recieved prior to seeing her. The entire time I was worried I looked pregant because of her words. I wish the resort would hire more professional personal that know how to treat people with respect. I wish this wouldnt of have happened and i could have truly enjoyed my vacation.
This beautiful hotel had flowers everywhere and is located at the base of the Camelback mountains.
The place is a dump behind the scenes and very outdated SnobsDale
I love this resort! The rooms are beautiful and really big, very comfortable and oversized furniture, and the service is great.. There's amazing views of the valley and a great restaurant on site.. T Cooks, where you can choose from many options from the menu, in my opinion, they have excellent steak! Great pools, very quiet and relaxing, and a very convenient location in Phoenix.
Amazing place, fantastic and attentive service. Upon my checkout I spoke to one of the ladies who work there in management and was advised that Royal Palm will also become more family oriented, which I think is just awesome. Will definitely return.
Just for your information...It's a paradise, not a hotel!
I have spent a lot of time in Phoenix on business -- and if you're familiar with Phoenix... there are lots of really solid options from a resort POV. I recently stayed at the Royal Palms for a small healthcare convention (<75 executives) -- and the entire experience was phenomenal. The staff are support and attentive. The food is fantastic. One of favorites, was to head to the bar in the evening and enjoy one of their specialty cocktails and grab an appetizer by the fire. Atmosphere is AWESOME. I love that this feels high-end, but isn't a HUGE complex to negotiate, like some other properties in Phoenix. If you haven't given them a chance -- I highly recommend it.
Very beautiful place, the food is delicious, and the service very good!
Visited here with a friend of mine for her birthday and had an amazing time. The staff was super attentive ans absolutely nice. We had a bird sneak into our food and they replaced it all with no problem. Will be visiting again!
Service at the bar was fantastic. Friendly staff and warm conversations. Would recommend
I've stayed here twice now. Each time has been a first class experience! If you have a significant other, I highly suggest getting the romance package. T Cooks, the restaurant on site, lives up to the standards of the hotel as well.
Beautiful grounds, Hotel staff was top notch. The only bad thing I can say about this place is that I have to leave it.
Beautiful property, great on-site dining, friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I stayed for two nights and had a great time. This is definitely a resort we'll vacation at again.
Went to the spa and got the citrus ritual. The staff was wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. Would definitely will come back and I highly recommend going.
Location is nice, so were the rooms (very spacious), food was good but not great, staff friendly and helpful. Prices are very high, though. Would probably not go again.
I'm in the Air Force and when I came home I wanted to surprise my wife with something we had never done. All I can say is WOW! I called a week early and had flowers arranged and they went above and beyond anything I expected. Service was beyond wonderful! Truly an amazing night. Worth the money!
Great resort... quiet, comfortable, location and staff.
Was wonderful event and the food was great! A little hot in the rooms, but worth it!
The most beautiful resort in Phoenix. Just amazing .
It's okay. Pictures made the room seem better than it is. Things are nice, but I wouldn't stay here again for the money I'm spending.
I cannot recommend this beautiful resort enough for your wedding or event/weekend stay needs! This was our dream wedding venue and we couldn t be more thrilled with our experience throughout the entire planning process or more thrilled with our wedding weekend! From the first time we stepped foot on the property while we were touring venues, we instantly fell in love. They greeted us with a glass of champagne and everyone we met was full of friendly smiles. The property s beauty speaks for itself with lush greenery and flowers and fireplaces lit in the fall (which is when our wedding was). We got our contract together and went to planning! We worked with Emily who is so kind and professional and I can t praise her enough! The tasting was such a memorable experience. My parents flew in town for it and we had the best time. We tasted the wines, the hor de vours, salads, entrees and cakes and the food was absolutely delicious it was so hard to choose. Not only was the food delicious, the serving sizes are so large, you know your wedding guests will not leave hungry!
The wedding weekend itself was a dream. All the guests who checked into their rooms were greeted with champagne and our wedding went off without a hitch all thanks to the amazing staff at the Royal Palms. Everything provided by the Royal Palms was setup quickly and perfectly of course! They also provided my groom and I a shadow who stayed with us after the ceremony throughout the night to make sure we had water, a cocktail, if we needed food, etc which was so amazing! She was so fantastic. The catering was so delicious just like the tasting and serving sizes so large. Everyone raved about the food! The catering staff was amazing and always made sure everyone had water and wine and no one ever went without! I wanted my guests to feel spoiled and the Royal Palms spoiled us all! I also have to mention the venue itself is so beautiful that my photographer and videographer LOVED it because you can t take a bad picture there. Everywhere is a gorgeous backdrop and it s the best memories of our life.
When we went back to our honeymoon suite, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a card from the resort staff congratulating us and it was so sweet! We popped it open and enjoyed it. It was personally a great memory popping it open in my wedding dress with my new husband in our gorgeous honeymoon suite.
We also treated ourselves room service breakfast then a spa day at the Alvadore Spa the morning after our wedding and it was the best spa experience EVER! I truly can t recommend the Citrus Ritual enough! We will be back.
The Royal Palms truly holds such a special place in our hearts now. Our wedding was magical and a real-life fairytale thanks the amazing staff and team at the resort and we look forward to celebrating our anniversaries there and many date nights and cocktail hours at T Cooks ahead! Royal Palms, thank you for the best time of our life! FIVE STARS, FIVE DIAMONDS, FIVE EVERYTHING!!!!
So gorgeous! Unique setting and quaint. Service is excellent and friendly.
Quiet hideaway! Great staff and beautiful property!
Awesome romantic staycation can't wait to come back.
We love this place. Very quaint and romantic. We will return for weekend getaways!!
The best resort in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa... in the whole sprawl.
Beautiful location, small resort that provides a lot of personal touch elements. The grounds are spectacular and very romantic.
We had the Groupon deal and it was awesome, Great service!!
Reserved for our 21st Anniversary. Loved every bit of this place. Staff is friendly and attentive. Coming back is a must!!!
Disappointed. Was there over the weekend and the only good thing about this resort was the pool staff. They were the only ones who seemed to truly care for their guests. Sebastien did not stop moving and was accommodating and attentive to every single guest and it was a busy pool day.
We rented a suite for the evening and nothing really special about it. It was dark and felt like a dungeon In sitting area.
Cabana by the pool don t waste your money, this hotel does not seem to care about their outside furniture. The cabana looked like it hadn t been cleaned in a month. While walking around the property every piece of outside furniture was filthy and had bird poop all over it. I did bring this to managements attention and he took note of it and said he would comp Cabana. I appreciated that and said thank you.
Fast forward a few days. I have not seen a reversal on my card. When I called hotel to inquire I was told manager was not in and to call the next day. I feel it is not my responsibility to follow up with you as I was your guest and asked for manager to call me. 24 hours have passed and nothing. Received our bill via email and they tried to also charge us for a room upgrade which we did not get. When we asked about this we were not so nicely told next time we should check out at front desk to go over the bill in detail. I m in customer service and it is not my customers job to police what I am supposed to be doing accurately for them. And the only thing that should have been said on that call was no problem we will get that taken care of for you.
I will not be recommending this property to any family or friends nor will we be staying again. It s a shame we do a staycation once a month too.
Beautiful grounds. Good location. Nice outdoor pool. Good value for what you get.
Amazing place to have a little getaway the environment is peaceful, beautiful room, amazing tub, the valet parking guys all of them super kind and informative. The only disappointment was no 6 am cafe open. The pool was amazing just too crowded at certain times. Beautiful property...definitely coming back soon!!
If you expect the very best things that money can buy, then you will not be disappointed with the Royal Palms. The attention to you the client, and the resort are worthy of any king and queen. To say that it's grounds are spectacular is an understatement, with stunning architecture, beautiful fountains and grounds that are kept in immaculate condition. The resort has many 5 star restaurants within its magnificent courtyards with delicacies from several cuisines. The Royal Palms has entry level to lavish suites to cater to almost every income level, with a pga quality golf course, and swimming pools with sun porches. Over all there are few resorts that can compare to the Royal Palms. I would gladly return to enjoy the warm hospitality this fine resort has bestowed on my family!
Quant hotel with excellent service. When I arrived I was greeted with valet parking and the concierge was excellent. I had a tour of the facility which is beautiful and was shown to my room. The rooms are excellent with soft beds and pillows, a beautiful shower and bathroom, as well as a fireplace. Service is excellent. The only complaint I have is that the thermostat did not seem to affect the temperature.
Beautiful hotel and grounds. Does not feel like you're in Arizona when you're on property. Service is top notch and the food is incredible as well
Great bar with friendly staff and never overly crowded. Always a good spot for a weekend mid day or late afternoon cocktail.
Beautiful grounds. Really nice rooms and very friendly staff.
I LOVE this place! I've never had such a positive and friendly experience from every single staff member at a hotel. We were in town for a wedding and decided to stay here for one night to relax. We got massages at the spa which is phenomenal. Lisa was my massage therapist and was perfect. We didn't eat at the restaurant but kind of wish we had.
The resort is absolutely gorgeous and so close to the airport. If you stay here you will not be disappointed.
Beautiful place to stay. One of the best resorts in the valley
Thank you for hosting an incredible NYE event. Very beautiful resort, amazing music, and memorable time
My husband and I stayed 4 nights here through AMEX FHR. We had a cozy secluded casita near the pool (open 24 hrs). Paul kindly helped us when we checked in and took our luggage. He also made excellent food recommendations for our stay and then gave us a ride to downtown Scottsdale for one of our dinner outings! Benjamin is a fantastic mixologist and also helped with recommendations. He made a New Orleans caliber Ramos Ginn Fizz, thank you for that! Lastly, Ernesto took care of us every morning for breakfast and was very attentive! He even remembered our order:) The staff made this hotel!!! It was quiet aka great for couples without their children! Lots of hidden nooks for picnic of wine and cheese. I would stay here again!
The rooms were excellent. Spacious and very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. Dinner was to die for. Great time at the Royal Palms definitely a must stop.
Very nice , beautiful resort with lots to see and enjoy.
Hassle and Hustle...
Since I posted my harsh review below, I made a discovery today as I prepared my expense report. Although I had pre-paid my stay through a third party, I discovered today that I had been charged double by Royal Palms.
Credit to them... they recognized it quickly and corrected it, but it was a hassle. The error could not be solved at the local level in Phoenix as it required corporate intervention to reverse the charge.
So, they took care of it, and the accounting folks were very nice; but this was a HASSLE. And, that hassle was on top of the hustle I detailed in my earlier post. I just can't imagine how Royal Palms maintains their rating.
This is a beautiful property!
It's a shame, however, that you feel like the hustle is on from the moment you pull onto the property. The valet parkers are on you like rabid dogs. Once they have captured your car keys and your luggage, you're trapped, and they know it. Get read to be exploited for a pricey on-site meal while your room is "being prepared". I've been to the Royal Palms three times, thanks to deals on an opaque booking site. Every experience has proven the same. It's the hustle.
Don't expect your in-room toiletries to be replenished. This is a spa. Expect to buy them.
Rooms are radically inconsistent. Some are very nice, and some are very ordinary.
And, don't expect 5 star turn down service. Expect to request it, only to be disappointed by a minimalist effort.
Nickel and dime. Nickel and dime. This is a pretty place to die by a thousand paper cuts.
HUSTLE, HUSTLE, HUSTLE.
Great place for Sunday Brunch. Very pleasant atmosphere.
Horrible customer service, expensive, rooms are old. I'd never go back!
Royal Palms is my go to place to relax and enjoy the old world feel.
