Went here only for the golf. Though parking is a little odd if you aren't staying at the resort, it is still very good. Showed up an hour early and was able to go to the driving range before. Facilities were great and staff was kind.

Really clean, upscale hotel. Great and highly professional service. The crowd is a bit stuck up and the property is huge. Would be nice to at least have complimentary coffee and tea around the property. They charge for overnight parking which is not disclosed anywhere until you check out and they charge you for it. Annoying after paying the nightly rate.

The Ojai Valley In and Spa is an incredible place! The resort is absolutely beautiful, it feels like we are visiting some distant Spanish village. The golf course was a lot of fun, and all of the restaurants and bars are excellent! An amazing place for sure, we'll be back.

A lot of things happened at the Ojai Valley Inn. L...

A lot of things happened at the Ojai Valley Inn. Let me start by saying the staff was phenomenal.
Now for my experience. We checked in early because we had an early check-in through the Amex booking. We got there around 1:00 and was checked in by a friendly front desk. He told us he would immediately have our upgraded room cleaned. He was sending someone over immediately. We went to town to grab lunch. We waited for the text message from the front desk including our room number. It never arrived. So I called the front desk. they gave me a run around about my room. They said someone was still cleaning it at 4:00 p.m. when standard check in was. so our room wasn't ready even at the regular check-in time. I was told that somebody was going over to inspect the room and that it was finally done at around 4:10. We get back to the property go to the room and find someone still cleaning it. they told us they were pretty much done and we're on their way out. While they were still in the room I noticed an empty water bottle just sitting on the ground. Upon looking down I noticed how filthy the floor was. The cleaning staff did not vacuum, did not tidy up, did nothing other than change the bedding. there were large chunks of dirt all over the floor. And possibly some leftover vomit from the prior person staying in the room. All of this was very obvious and noticeable without looking up close. I immediately called the front desk and asked them to send someone to clean the room. all of this was a disappointment as I was told the room would be ready shortly after our 1:00 p.m. check-in, however by 4:15 the room was still filthy. nobody came to the room, and after calling front desk again and sending a text to the number that sent me the room number, I finally got the head of rooming, or some manager. They ended up giving us a bunch of different credits, comping our meal, as well as the room for the first night. That was great, except all we wanted was a tiny room when we checked in.
We ate at the oaks the first night and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The salmon and the steak were fantastic, as was my mixed vegetable salad. Because our meal was comped, we ordered an extra dessert. The cheesecake was fantastic, the lava cake was delicious, and the bread pudding was to die for. All of the staff, again, still fantastic. We go back to our room, get ready for bed, set the air conditioning to our desire temperature, climbed into bed and tried to sleep. Both of us were drenched with sweat and a woke at around 1:00 a.m. because our air conditioning was not working. We immediately called the front desk and asked for them to send someone over immediately to fix this issue. The gentleman at the front desk offered to comp another something, but we told him that's not what we were looking for, we just wanted our AC fixed. They sent someone over immediately. he fixed it temporarily, however the next evening we had the same issue. We called the front desk and asked them to send someone over while we were out at dinner. They never sent anyone over. but we didn't know this until we tried climbing into bed. We have the same issue. Woke up in a sweat. This is not what should happen when you spend what we spent on our rooms. Between the mess when we arrived, the AC not working, and all the comping, we realize this must be a regular situation that they just rectify by giving free things back.
We aren't the type of people to just ask for something to be comped because of an issue. We just want things to go smoothly right off the bat. This hotel did not provide that experience.

Review of the Spa: I had a facial and a massage. Everything was perfect. The women's locker room was lovely, very accommodating. we were able to utilize the spas pool, which was lovely and quiet. We were regularly checked on by staff. Everything about the spa was perfect.

I wish I could write a positive review about this place as the room was lovely outside of the issues. The view we had was spectacular. But every step had major issues. And I cannot justify anything more than 2 star

I love this place and always seem to get a perfect room. The Ku Yum Mud Treatment is the best. It is in a steam room with twinkle lights above you. A great mediation music is played and an attendant comes in and sprays you with water. It is so beyond the beyond.

I had a massage at the Spa recently. It was a little crowded, but I thoroughly enjoyed lounging by the fireplace in the locker room and my massage room was quiet. It was not a 5-star experience because there was no music in the massage room, I felt cold whenever my blanket was moved, and there were no famous cookies.

Stayed here with my wife on a corporate recognition celebration and we were blown away with everyone. The the valets and high end cars parked around and into the lobby where the most incredibly helpful staff get you checked it. We were early and our room was not ready so they checked out bags gave us room keys that would active when the room was ready along with a phone call or text to notify you. Our bags were waiting for us in our room which had a breathtaking view of the surrounding topatopa mountains. We ate at Jimmy's pub and loved the pixie ale a bit too much. Free truffle chips constantly brought to the table and again excellent staff at every corner. There are golf carts roaming around just to offer rides to anywhere in the resort which has the most relaxing atmosphere I've ever experienced. There are guests with beautiful puppies and larger dogs roaming around or having lunch at one of the several restaurants. The golf course intertwines through the course in the neatest way. Views up the vast fairways into the mountain ranges are jaw dropping. The course was never packed with people and they play casually through to an audience which was quite fun. The prices are high for everything which is the only downside. This place has no problem filling rooms. If you take any of the activities that this resort offers I can recommend both the beekeeping experience and whale watching March-June. We were front row to experiences that we will never forget. If you want to walk around there is a bike and walking trail that leads you right to the main shopping areas in Ojai. Everything about our stay was luxurious and I won't soon forget it.

The Ojai Valley Inn is a beautiful luxury in the heart of Ojai Valley. The grounds of this hotel and the hotel itself are impressive in so many ways. The staff is professional, FRIENDLY, and generally on the ball. There is a golf course here and it's a beautiful golf course. But you don't need to golf to enjoy yourself here. The hotel is kid friendly and has an additional swimming pool on the grounds to accommodate families. It is equally accommodating to adults and has a Tesla Charging Station.

We went to dinner at Olivelle. The food was incredible! Smokey and the bandit cocktails were unique and flavorful. The gnocchi, polenta, and pasta were so fresh! The price was outrageous, but entirely worth it.

The Inn is for all!! No matter what type of experience you require, you will find it here. They even have a group that can take you rock climbing, experience the Channel Islands, or just chill out at the spa.

There are no words to explain the freeing you get when you first arrive on this property. The warmth, caring, professionalism. We were just waking and the young man on the golf cart offered us some nice cool bottled water to drink.

Over-priced and pretentious. When we arrived there was no ice in the ice machine, the fire place was not working and had to be "reset" by maintenance, the pen did not function, breakfast for two with eggs cost $101 -- but only one portion of scrambled eggs arrived, and the minibar was charged to us because we temporarily took out a few things in order to put one of our own items in the fridge, they did not seem to have a record of our 8am luggage pickup that was called in the night before . Otherwise, the stay was ok.

The grounds and location are fantastic, the rooms are pretty nice - but definitely not 5-star quality for the price. The service is also not 5-star and the tennis court, basketball courts, yoga studios are a bit run down. It s definitely over-priced and they need to train their restaurant staff on how to provide good service their guests, they seemed to do the bare minimum and had terrible attitudes. The best service we received was from the parking valet.

I have stayed here now on two separate occasions and continue to enjoy it more every time. First off the grounds are beautiful and maintained very well. The pool has giant bean bags that allow you to lay back and enjoy your drink as you float along. All staff members are incredibly friendly and helpful. There will always be someone asking if you need help with anything. I will have to recommend the California scramble on the breakfast menu at the Oak Kitchen. This has been the absolute best scrambled eggs that I have tried so far. In the end it's a great place for a romantic getaway or family getaway and I attribute that to the Spanish style Hacienda layout of the property and the lush grounds that surround the rooms.

Beautiful property and luxurious rooms. Food was excellent. I did not give 5 stars due to problems with our room at check-in. The manager did work hard to handle the problems and make our stay enjoyable.

They can t get anything right and double charge you for everything plus charges you never authorized. Their phone number never works - honestly there is nothing relaxing about this place after all of the hassle with their horrible service and poor accounting methods!
