Pretentious, over priced, poor service, unbelievab...
Pretentious, over priced, poor service, unbelievably loud, chairs screeching on concrete floors like fingernails on blackboard....all that and the good was meh.

Amazing view, very good food. Will definitely be back
Nice patio to have a drink an appetizer. Breakfast inside was solid and complimentary with the room. Rooms were large and clean.
The setting is georgeous and the rooms are unique with an industrial feel. My "standard" room overlooked the street with a house staring in my oversized window. The only window cover is a blackout shade, not a happy answer as the room's lighting is totally inadequate.
Rooms include a Keurig machine which you need because the free breakfast is not available until 8 am .
It was a beautiful view of the small falls nestled in the main part of town. Cocktails were average.
We ate at the Patio Restaurant, outdoors. The waterfall is lovely The tables were placed well, but why didn't all the tables have umbrellas? When my friend and I arrived, our 3rd party was already sitting at a table without an umbrella and when we asked to change to another table we were told that it was not allowed --- so, one of us had to keep moving so as not to be blinded by the sun.
The food was good and both the Negroni and Sangria drinks were excellent. However, the service was sub-par. Our water glasses were never refilled until we asked and then we still had to remind the staff. One of us asked to have our cappuccino replaced because it was bitter and undrinkable. We did not get it till we were done with dessert and ready to leave. During the time we were there we were assigned three different servers, who rarely came around, because they went on break. That just added to the sloppiness of the service....we became the table that fell through the cracks. Not an experience I care to repeat.
Only had a drink but the views from the restaurant of the falls are spectacular.
Food and ambiance were good but the service was very slow and disjointed.
This is the second time we stayed at the Roundhouse hotel and we liked being of them. It is a challenge for a business to provide good service during the Covid-19 pandemic and the Roundhouse masters it! A very friendly staff is always available for help and advice. The rooms are wonderful, the first one was very large while the second one had a beautiful view of the waterfall. The room interiors, with their large windows, ceiling beams, and exposed brick walls are very pleasing. Furthermore, the close proximity to the towns center (Main Street) makes it easy to getting around on foot and as such avoiding the search for a parking space, which at some times can be a serious hassle.
Not a great experience with the hotel portion of this organization booked a room on the river, was given a completely different room in a different building.
It s a shame... I really wanted to like this place, and I give it 2 stars for the quality of the food alone. When we went, we have problem after problem. We showed up as a group of 17 and had made reservations a week in advance. When we arrive, there was a problem with our reservation and it wasn t in the books. The hostess was content to just chalk it up as our problem to deal with, and it wasn t until we spoke with the manger, in length, that we were able to get a table over an hour after our original reservation time. To seat us, they had to split our group between two tables, that coupled with the waitress s we had put a real damper on the bridal shower dinner we were having. A fancy night out that we all treated ourself too turned out to be a let down.
Lobster roll had multiple shell pieces in it, hostess forgot we were waiting, tourist trap...must avoid
Beautiful spot for a birthday getaway out of the city. We appreciated that their protocols for COVID were thorough and made our stay that much more comfortable.
We had drinks and food at the patio and while we had great service (and delicious food) both times, it was a little odd that when it was raining, they offered dining inside as an option, despite their website saying this is not currently allowed. We weren t comfortable with dining inside and waited it out, which worked out fine.
Baked goods were delivered (contact-free) to our room each morning and other breakfast items were already provided in the fridge.
Enjoyed our stay in the room, but the shower has very low water pressure and no door (gets chilly) so this leaves a bit to be desired.
Good drinks, eh service. Been spotty. Great view of the falls though.
Stayed overnight at the Roundhouse and had an amazing dinner at the restaurant. Loved the overall aesthetic of our room and buildings, and we had a great view of the waterfall! Only complaint was with our bed which was pretty uncomfortable.
Great radish plate. Really liked the cocktails. Great view of the creek.
Exceptional food and beautiful atmosphere
Great value for money considering the pricing of other restaurants in the area.
We had cocktails and appetizers.
Drinks were great and appetizers were excellent.
The atmosphere by the falls illuminated at night is truly memorable.
Barry the host was the best... wonderful conversation
Couldn't be happier
Great patio for brunch, lunch or drinks. Really enjoy the cocktail menu that has some typical options made with a couple of twists. Fantastic view of Beacon Falls from anywhere in the patio or restaurant.
Beautiful setting, food is good too, service is still improving. We have been a number of times, service on the patio is fast but inside it is still a little slow I assume its because its new though - won't stop me from going back.
Attended a summer wedding June, 2018. It was well done. I will be attending another one there in April. It's definitely an option worth looking into.
Great place to eat, friendly staff and gorgeous view. Not a big vegetarian selection though.
Very nice rooms. Spacious and modern. River and waterfalls on site.
Stayed here with my girlfriend for a trip upstate. Excellent hotel. The design of the hotel was a respite from New York City. Our suite was well manicured and waking up next morning to the excellent breakfast was a vacation in itself.
Beautiful property with spacious rooms. There is acute vegan space a few steps away
Food and drinks were good. The outdoor patio by the waterfall was spectacular and the perfect setting for dinner. We would recommend this restaurant.
I sat down for brunch and it took 10 minutes to get a order in with servers everywhere... A party seated by me left because of this. Also terrible basic overpriced food and cold coffee. My experience and food was so bad I wanted to throw my $18 plate of lukewarm tasteless brunch into the waterfall.
Been to the Patio twice. Food is better than the service. Wait staff is friendly, but they can't ALL be rookies. View and ambience delightful. Really good burger - cooked as requested.
The restaurant, SWIFT, which had just opened a few months before our visit, was INCREDIBLE! Really high-quality stuff at very reasonable prices. Beautiful views of the falls and great food, what else could you want?
The food is amazing and the view from the restaurant is spectacular! Our server was fantastic too!
1st time there and the food was amazing. Great service, great chef!
Excellent view and really good food- slight sensation that they were a little understaffed that day but it was still a lovely peaceful location for a slow well savored dinner.
Had the Sunday Brunch Prix Fixe at $28 per person. Service was fantastic. Waitress and hostess were phenomenal. The food was really underwhelming and priced equally to the best you can expect in Manhattan. Totally bland. Presentation was nice but flavor wasn't there. Burger came up almost cold with unimpressive flavor. Bun seemed old. Dessert lacked flavor and was simple. Too much focus on the dish design when taste needs improving.
Brunches at Mogador always set the bar for me, and it is far more affordable at Mogador than the Roundhouse. I wanted to love it, but the food really disappointed.
I'd go back for a drink ANY day. The service and ambiance are fantastic. A large space, great view, and sound paneling on the ceiling for a great mid-level room noise. A great energy in the place. Just no life in the food.
Great restauarant, the hop, right across the creek. Great falls view lit up at night. Modern meets industrial in this uniquely crafted spacious stay. Awesome apothecary toiletries. Lemongrass yummmm. Main street is artsy and the flea/farmers markets were legit. Dia was definitely amazing. All walkable distance. Tons of food options in this sleepy town.
Great atmosphere, good vibe & friendly people. Spectacular setting with the waterfall and outdoor patio area. A must visit when you are in Beacon.
Great place, my waitress was really hot.
So I couldn't tip her.
Just okay. This time we came for restaurant week. Menu was limited, as expected, but also in flavor and thought. Drinks were great, but they were in such a hurry to turn the table they didn t offer us another.
Had lunch in the restaurant and it was very good. I had a crab cake sandwich that was delicious and I'm very picky about crab, no pun intended. The service was great and the view amazing. Can't wait to go back in the summer.
Gorgeous view of the waterfalls and lovely atmosphere. Attentive wait staff and the food was incredible. Highly recommend the lobster Mac and Cheese- yum!
The location is beautiful, right on the falls. We went for drinks and service was prompt and friendly.
Really nice lounge and restaurant right by the water. I had a habanero bloody Mary that was delicious! Perfect spot to grab a drink at the lounge and cozy up by the fireplace
Beautiful venue, but on the pricey side. Good views from both indoor and outdoor seating. Mixed drinks are definitely original and include a number of ingredients I haven't seen anywhere else (e.g. violet flower liquor). Wine list of long, and they usually have 5 or 6 craft beers available. Food menu is seasonal and have been happy with most things I've ordered. Would recommend.
Attended a wedding here. The atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Service was subpar. Waitress was decidedly unfriendly. The food was overpriced for what we were expecting.
The risotto is a must. I went with a group of 8 people and everyone was happy with their plates. Good views of the water falls.
Serervice, Food, Presentation and Hospitality were Absolutely Phenomenal. In a time where Shortcomings are expected given the Circumstances , we saw Nothing of the Sort. Socially Distant Layout, Constant Sanitizing so the guests felt Safe and a Great Team that made sure an Evening out Felt Special Again. Our Compliments to Kate and the Entire Team, Front and Back of the House. VERY Well Done.
Amazing atmosphere great food good service dont miss!
Alwyas a great experience for stay and eat...love it.
I should have known better. I read Yelp reviews that were not kind but my boyfriend and I were in Beacon for his birthday and we wanted to go somewhere "nice." Huge mistake. The reviews of the food were not good but I thought at least we More
It was truly incredible. It was a life changing experience, I've never learned so much about myself in one evening
We had a room under the kitchen extract as much as a reactor! Arrived late no other choice to accept change of room the next day ok
But why not condemn this room since the reviews speak for years!
We waited a very long time for our food being told three times that it would be right up...more than 20 minutes. The food was ok, both meals quite salty, nothing special.
This bar is amazing with its perfect service and breathtaking views of the waterfall. Great selection of wine and cocktails.
Friendly service, great view on the terrace of the waterfalls, perfect for Sunday brunch
The Roundhouse Restaurant was Delightful! We attended a Wedding Reception there! The Banquet Hall was Beautifully Decorated! It was Good Time had by Everyone!!!
Had a nice mountain view, well stocked mini fridge, and daily baked goods delivered at 8am. Would definitely stay here again!
A great place to host a destination wedding. As wedding planners we love working with their team.
The customer service is constantly quick, good ambience, super friendly employees. I will eat here again when I am in the area.
Disappointing, not recommended.
The restaurant is really the most disappointing part, the hotel is ok but not outstanding.
The food was fantastic and we sat outside with an amazing view of the waterfall. Service was great. Try the chocolate tart!!
We stayed at the hotel over Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time. The restaurant is stylish, the waterfall view is perfect, and every meal we had was very good. The best part of Main Street is only a few steps away. If you stay at the hotel, there are a few things to be aware of: 1. No room service. There is a mini fridge with drinks, but if you want food, you need to pick it up from the restaurant. 2. The water pressure is not great. The bathrooms are nice, but don't expect a luxurious morning shower. 3. The hotel does not provide any transportation, so you'll need to take a taxi or Uber from the train station. However, these are all minor details that did not detract from our experience. The service at both the hotel and restaurant was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!
This place had good food, but it was expensive for small portions. Plus they were out of a lot of stuff by 1pm on a Sunday... good views though
Words cannot express our gratitude to the staff at The Roundhouse for EVERYTHING! Our entire wedding weekend was a huge success, mostly because of the flawless execution of our event planner, Corinne, and her staff, the hotel manager, Jean, and the restaurant team!
Let s backup though. About 18-months before our I do s we met Corinne on our first visit to the venue. She was amazing from the start. She gave us the most in-depth tour, and we left knowing this was our place. We booked within a week and from that moment, Corinne was so attentive, made us feel like we were her only clients (when she has way more than just us) and took every question, comment, or concern we had, seriously. She also has this fantastic way of making you feel totally calm!
In that time, we had constant communication, but it ramped up after our planning meeting about 2 months from our date. She was knowledgable, worked with us on executing our ideas, and didn t pressure us into anything. It was our day, and she let us build the day accordingly!
On the weekend and day-of, Corinne made us feel so at ease, and assured us we had nothing to worry about. She was so on-top of everything, I completely forgot about worrying and just enjoyed the day and soaked it all in like we should be doing! We even ATE (she promised us she would make sure we did)! She was always right there if we needed something, and working the timeline like a pro. She truly made our day so special and effortless!
We also worked closely with Jean, the hotel manager, on our hotel block, and she was a dream! So easy to work and communicate with, and get our guests feeling right at home during our wedding weekend! And we had such great service at our after-party and morning-after breakfast at the restaurant. They accommodated our pizza party until 1am in the lounge, and the never-ending stream of family and friends coming back the next day for yummy eats before heading home.
My husband and I knew we loved The Roundhouse for all of the obvious reasons, but we truly would not have been able to have the wedding we did without Corinne and the rest of The Roundhouse team. We are forever grateful for the people who helped create our perfect day! I could go on-and -on! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location. Not a lot of menu options that I personally would enjoy. I had some delicious lemonade and mac n cheese.
Glorious setting, lovely atmosphere and ambitious, if not perfectly prepared, cuisine.
Wonderful menu, excellent service and beautiful view. I highly recommend it!!
Such a disappointment. This hotel is beautiful and the designer who handled the decor and overall style did a wonderful job. The day-to-day operations are seriously lacking and, unfortunately, affected our overall experience significantly. The personnel was rude on multiple occasions, the facilities weren't open when they said they were going to be (bar and restaurant were closed beginning at 3:00 PM - if you wanted to sit on the patio you could, until it was torrentially raining and they needed to find immediate seating for 50 people in the dining room: chaos), the facility signage wasn't great and we had to cross the stream with suitcases multiple times to find our rooms, one room smelled like mold because they haven't learned how to manage the maintenance of a shower that features exposed stone from the foundation (a beautiful detail, but one that traps water and has no ventilation). Breakfast was great and morning staff was lovely, but the rest of the experience was so terrible that I can't recommend it. We stayed here a few years ago and were looking forward to coming back, but won't be returning again.
Beautiful restaurant located in Beacon, NY. Spectacular view of waterfalls. Great bar and alcohol selection, excellent food.
Nice outdoor service, solid cocktails and good for snacks with a view.
Enjoyed an overnight stay at this converted industrial hotel overlooking Beacon's stunning waterfall. Spare but beautifully designed with cozy lounge with fireplace and an elegant restaurant- both overlooking the falls. Recommend rooms in the main building in winter with a view of the falls. The sound of rushing water can make it difficult to sleep so bring earplugs if you go. Beds are warm and comfortable but there's only an upright desk chair for reading. Quaint town with good food and activities nearby...or just chill and enjoy the view.
Went to the outside cafe for a snack and a drink. The outdoor area is beautiful. It is a great place to sit outside. They completely forgot about our dessert, and after I asked the bartender and explained that we were waiting for 25-30 min, he did not even have the decency to come and tell us what was going on. We left with the dessert "to-go", and came home to melted ice cream. The dish should have been comped.
Spent about an hour there and the service was warm and welcoming. Recommending for my Christmas party.
Small portions served, elegant and awesome view of the Beacon Falls. Hall for occasions and small hotel space. Next door they have a patio for some delicious burgers. Patio overlooks Beacon Falls. You Gotta Go... On Pay Day.
