We were there for a wedding which started very nice at 5.30pm. The grounds, waterfall and parking were great. The appetizer selection was amazing and the liquor was flowing. The reception area was magnificent, exposed beams, barn doors, what a sight! We had a limited choice set menu of salad, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. Orders were taken and salad arrived at a reasonable time, great bread already at the table. Things bogged down when it came to the entree we waited an hour after it was announced that serving would start soon. All but one person at our table ordered the rib eye but everyone felt it was not a good cut and very fatty, this was not bone-in. Twiced baked potato, asparagus, onion rings were great. So in all 7.30 to 8.45 to get entree , by 9.45 no desert or coffee. Thank God for the bar which rocked all night.

We came up on a Wednesday afternoon to be tourists without the crowd.
Found the Roundhouse in Valley Table and liked the way the menu looked.
Started with a different but delicious Ceaser Salad with Filleted Anchovies and Parmigan Toast and a great Eggplant Capanata.
Next a perfectly done half Cornish Hen and a very tasty fresh Lobster Roll with what seemed like an entire small Lobster.
The Service was attentive, the only complaint would be that the table could have been cleared of crumbs when it was reset.
This is not for Fast Food, come here to Dine. The Patio is large, inviting and has a great view of Beacon Falls.
The Menu is all day fo Lunch or Dinner.

Excellent boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Beacon NY. Walking distance to all the local mainstreet restaurants and stores including The Snooki Shop. Bring an extra table/snack table for the room if you have kids or want to eat in the room. Beautiful Beacon Falls adjacent to the hotel (see pic). Small fridge was stocked with complimentary OJ and yogurt. Muffins and mini bagels are delivered in the AM. We will go back again in the future.

Our experience at this restaurant was a joke. Where do I start... First our server brought over our bottle of water, didn't even bother to break the seal for us or pour the water. That was nothing! Our food took forever to come out. When it finally did my $28 scallop dinner had a measly 3! yes only 3 small scallops (which one raw!) and nothing else except for some charred broccoli nubs and a smear of what looked like potatoes under one scallop. Then the other meal was duck, or at least it was supposed to be. They killed the duck and it was so incredibly dry!! Also coated in salt!!! With maybe a 1/4cup of arugla "salad". Oh I also forgot to mention the ice filled to the brim "margarita"that tastes like cheap whiskey... After all this horrible cuisine disaster our bill was $100!!!! Soooo not worth what we ate... The only thing that was decent was the chickpea appetizer... Our server never came back to check on our meal for us to even address these issues

My girlfriend and I were exploring beacon and stumbled upon the Roundhouse restaurant. We walked in a little intimidated by the appearance because we were in "street clothes" and felt undressdd. We were greeted at the host station by the General Manager Josh. He was very welcoming and seated us with an incredible view of the falls once he learned it was our first time there. We split an app and a burger which were both delicious. The GM came back to our table to check on us and make sure we were enjoying everything which we were! The prices were very fair as well. Between the atmosphere, staff, and food we will definitely be returning.

Was invited to eat here today for my birthday by my parents for a party of 7. Our reservation was for two. I arrived at 2:10 about 15 minutes later than my mother, who set the reservation. By 2:30 we still weren't seated and the manager said they were waiting for the previous party to get up. Already red flags as the place was practically empty and our table should've been ready. We sat by 2:35. We were all fairly hungry and the place was empty. Our server was incredibly slow and took a very long time to get back to us about drinks, food, etc. I ordered a glass of wine which took almost 15 minutes to get to me. Unfortunately, I was very sick and unable to taste my food, but everyone else seemed to enjoy although it took just over an hour to be served; of which two were my very hungry children. Again, took forever to be asked about dessert which, at least, came out within a decent timeframe. All in all, I probably would not go back. The dining area is absolutely beautiful as is the view, but our dining experience was poor at best. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Such a shame as it is in such a nice location. Also, it would be nice if they had a sign because we had no idea which building was the actual restaurant.

Beautiful views, as it sits overlooking a small waterfall.

Outdoor, patio area is the big draw but the inside it lovely and refined. Screams of high end.

Had a small issue w the food. First the good... and there was alot of it. The appetizer of octopus was great, as was the sea scallops. Crispy chicken sandwich was also top notch. My friend enjoyed the burger. My pregnant wife had to send back the steak (she order steak frits) cause it was undercooked. When it came back out, the salad on the plate wilted and fries were cold. Disappointing for a $26 plate but they comped it. The right thing to do. For that, the service was top notch.

Ppl were friendly, management and staff were attentive. Great cocktail menu and good craft beer selection.

Would def come back. It's a major draw for the town of Beacon

A lovely hotel, beautifully positioned in Beacon with views of the mill falls. Rooms are country-urban and quite spacious. Only criticism is the service in the restaurant. Took 60 mins to get all the breakfast items out, and a simple dinner took 2.5hrs to complete.

An excellent place to eat. Beautiful fun atmosphere with the best food in beacon. The manager Josh was the most professional and respectable manager I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Our event went perfectly thanks to him and his wonderful friendly staff!

We did not stay at the hotel proper, but had dinner outside by the waterfall during their pop-up BBQ event called Smoke on the Water. Food was very good and affordable and the view was phenomenal. My only recommendation is to bring bug spray if you are going to sit outside, as you are very close to trees and water.

the aesthetic of the restaurant and bar was beautiful but everything else was a huge disappointment. The building we stayed in was a walk from the main building and did not have a view of the falls but rather a parking lot on the ground floor which meant anyone could look in. There wasn't even a divider of plants to separate the sidewalk from our window. There were no windows in the hallway and it smelled of wet dog! I called this place the Dog House!!! While the staff was very nice they were definitely understaffed. We made dinner reservations with the concierge who was also the hostess for a table overlooking the water but when we got there we had no such table and was simply told we would have to wait an hour and a half. It looks like this place is still under construction but for the price it is far from being a boutique hotel.

Please do yourself a favor and don't go here despite the nice setting. Staff is extremely rude, slow, and inexperienced. They could care less about the customers. This was the absolute worst dining experience my husband and I ever had. The icing on the cake was when I asked for bread after waiting 2 hrs for food it came out stale and inedible. That's when we decided we had enough of the way we were being treated.

The interior was really nice. The staff did a nice job. The meal portions were fair. The dessert was tasty
I had a chocolate ganache/mousse not sure with granola and lemon. I tried the Skate/fish, it had a strong after taste I didn't expect. Would not have that again.

Extremely slow service. Lousy food. Waitress didn't even apologize after taking 20 minutes to come back with my credit card when we paid the bill. Just a terrible dining experience over all. I wouldn't eat there ever again. Shame too. Beautiful location, and gorgeous dining area.

The Roundhouse is a great place to go for a very romantic evening. My fiance and I have wanted to have dinner at the Roundhouse for some time. So this year we took advantage of the Hudson Valley restaurant week pricing and made our reservation. Seated a the base of a waterfall in Beacon, this restaurant give you one of the best dining views you can from a place that is not on the Hudson river. The interior decor is beautiful, just what I have come to expect from a renovated old factory space. I love their story of sustainability, the farm/market -to-table theme is great for me because I love the local culture and want it to succeed. The service was awesome, Gilbert was very professional and knowledgeable. We both had great meals and are happily looking forward to go back for another romantic meal. Thank you to the Roundhouse staff for doing such a great job!

Came in for a rest, wine, and a view. Was served well. Had some time with the Misses as we sat next to a fire watching the nearby waterfall. The staff was friendly and the wine good. Was a nice place to pop in for a rest.

Positives: Room was lovely, staff was friendly, food was fabulous.
Negatives : Bed was not super comfortable, felt like a futon mattress.
No microwave in the hotel, wanted to warm up some leftovers , called the front desk to ask where it was and was told the hotel didn t have one.
Would also suggest putting a handle inside the bathroom sliding door.

BRING BUG REPELLENT!!

BRING BUG REPELLENT!!
Went there for dinner, restuarant dinning room was closed, so everyone was seated outside on patio.

Would not have been an issue, had a good view of waterfall, except due to patio being near water, and lights turned on because of the hour, mosquitos were out in force.

Was there 2 hours for dinner and left with over 30 bites.

As for food it was so-so, different menu drom what is online, coffee maker was broken so no after dinner coffee.. I would go again if I was inside, or brought bug repellent.

One of my favorite hotels! Great location within easy walking distance to town, situated across from beautiful Fishkill Creek. Great food and drinks, great views, and understated minimalist decor in the guest rooms. This is the kind of hotel that's cool without trying. Spring for a room in the Roundhouse building for prime views of the falls (they light up at night!). Additionally, I recommend a reservation for the restaurant as it can be quite busy on weekends and at peak times. The menus are constantly changing with the seasons so there's always something new to try.

Saturday, July 18, 2020 was my first time to The Roundhouse restaurant in Beacon, NY. The service was PHENOMENAL! The food was beyond delicious, and the decor was lovely. The prices are very reasonable, too. Although I had a light dinner, it was super delicious, and my friend and I enjoyed looking at the waterfalls so close by. I look forward to returning, as soon as I can. I was a very happy first-timer turned into long-timer.

Service was good, except we couldn't get through on the phone to see if there were any tables free, rang but went through to voicemail. Ryan was our server and he was really nice. Water was always filled and never was empty. We came in on memorial day weekend on a Sunday for brunch and it was pretty empty, so we were able to snag a window table. Even with the dreary weather it was picturesque, with the falls in the background. I had the fried chicken sandwich and enjoyed it as well as the tater tots it came with. My dining companion had eggs and it looked like it was cooked to the temperature they asked for. The home fries were also really tasty. Cocktails we had were also good, but disappointed my mule did not come in a copper mug, but instead a highball glass.

The roundhouse has main lounge/lobby area in a separate building - where the restaurant is located. The staff greeted us in a friendly manner and redirected us to the hotel. Upon entering the other building, another friendly staff checked us in and let us know when our complimentary bfast will be available. The room looks somewhat clean and new but the carpet causes so much dust floating in the air. Not sure if they vacuum the carpet every day - but dust particles were visible to our eyes. I found blood stain on the bathroom door and the wall next to it so when I asked they asked if we would like to switch to a new room. So we did (and this room had a strange looking hole on the ceiling where I lied down) However, the staff explained that it is jam not blood - i thought I knew what consistency blood stain has vs. Jam.. The hotel provides nice complimentary breakfast though - it was really good and had a lot of options to choose from. The small waterfall is pleasing to the eyes but it is not something worth visiting just to see that. Well with that experience(strangely blood-looking stain and too much dust floating in the air), the hotel was just okay for that weekend, but I don't think I would come back nor recommend to anyone, for the price being.

We stayed overnight and the hotel is great. Beautiful rooms, not too costly. One complaint about the minimalist design: very little counter space in the bathroom. There's nowhere to leave soap in the shower, for example. Good complimentary breakfast at the restaurant across the street

The hotel is nice, appreciate what they're trying to do but overall a bit over priced for what it is. During covid its tough sorting out the best way to adapt, but the continental breakfast was very disappointing. Only consisted of two of the same flavor muffins in a brown paper bag dropped at your door in the AM and yogurt in the fridge.

The restaurant was the real disappointment. Booked a rsvp over a month in advance for my wedding anniversary. A week beforehand they cancelled it because someone booked out the entire restaurant last minute. Kept trying to call back and reschedule at the new restaurant they opened with no returned calls after leaving messages etc. Finally called the front desk and told them the situation. They said we would be well taken care of at the new steakhouse and also implied we'd be given the hookup for our troubles. Dined at the steakhouse no such hookup just a normal night like everyone - no complimentary appetizers etc. Food was okay. Staff was nice. Don't count on making any nice plans here, even with well planning they will throw a wrench in the works with no way to make it up to you.

Just checked in - will update over our next two days, but so far for a 4-star hotel... not cutting it.

*If someone from RH sees this, would it be rude to ask the front desk for some Windex? Although the view of the parking lot from Room 113 doesn t need to crispy clear, there are straight-up cobwebs.

Hopefully the restaurant is bangin

Srry for hating during this time of COVID

***Added an extra star, but the stay was far from exceptional. I did request extra cleaning off the room since it was dirty, no one ever came. Maybe you ll have a different experience but this is my 5 cents.

I really hate leaving negative reviews but. The staff was friendly but the service subpar. The heater in our hotel room sounded like a jet engine attempting take off every few hours and the second night we didn't get to sleep until after midnight as there were wedding guests yelling in the parking lot outside our window. We ate at the restaurant, too. The breakfast was included, which was nice, but dinner was marred by over-cooked shrimp, poorly seasoned pasta, and lackluster service. That said, the location is superb.

Beautiful restaurant with outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Gorgeous scenic views. I'm not giving this 5 stars bc the kitchen and bar took forever with everything we ordered. I felt bad for the waitress - she kept apologizing. And it wasn't even a busy night. The prices were ridiculous too. Food was delicious but some appetizers were WAY too small for the price. Most entrees were decent sized but some the prices were unnecessary. Everything including our drinks were delicious.

Service was insanely slow we sat for an hour with out placing a dinner order. It wasn't the waitresses fault. I would blame it on poor management. There should be more staff when there is a wedding/event going on on the premises.

We discovered the Roundhouse three years ago on a ...

We discovered the Roundhouse three years ago on a trip to Beacon and it became one of our fav places because of the great outdoor atmosphere. The first year, the food was really good and the experience quite memorable: great food, good service, and a wonderful setting. The next year, I noticed the quality of the food had gone down: not to an extent it was appreciably noticeable, but there was something that made me think the restaurant was having problems. This year confirmed my suspicion. The manager was new and the help had no idea what they were doing. My wife wanted a chicken Caesar salad and was given something that looked like someone had puked on the salad. The presentation of my burger was crap in that they brought the condiments in plastic containers--great if this were a cheap burger joint. But, this is not a cheap restaurant and one expects food and service in line with the price. If I am correct, the Roundhouse will not be in business much longer.

Even though the location is great, new management ...

Even though the location is great, new management and the Guerra family seem pretty detached with the concept of hospitality and unprepared to handle very simple situations such as service animals in an outdoor seating environment. We only stayed for one night after the general manager kept following us around the premises insisting on us showing my girlfriend's support animal's identification (which is illegal) and the owner's son Antonio saying it was irrelevant and threanten with legal action and adding fees to our bill. Overall, more than terrible, this was a traumatic experience, having a general manager yelling at our faces every time we leave the room holding hands with an owner looking at security cameras for disruptive behavior on a service animal that is less 18lbs can hardly be called competent staff. Go to the Beacon Hotel.

I have booked a king bed + view for my parents anniversary for 2 nights hoping to provide them a memorable experience. Yet they came back and complained to me that the room smells a little moldy. When they seek to switch to a new room, the hotel refused to provide them a new room stating that all rooms were booked. Given the fact it s during weekday, and my parents are for sure that at least the room next to them isn t occupied. The hotel could had done better to accommodate their stay. I do not appreciate this, and will not book again.
