Pretty amazing gardens, well worth a visit if your a tourist in the Dublin/Wicklow areas.
There is a charge into the gardens of around nine euros.
You can walk around the whole place in around an hour.
There is a restaurant on the premises but beware its a tourist trap, prices are sky high, might be worth bringing a sandwich.
There is a bunch of little shops where you can buy a plethora of trinkets and a garden center.

This place is beautiful even in mid November it was worth the visit. The gardens are not huge but it takes at least and hour to walk all the paths. Only a small area of the gardens is handicap accessible but anyone in a wheelchair can wait in the cozy cafe while others finish exploring the trails below. Glad we decided to go despite the cold weather.

I was a bit skeptical of here, my girlfriend chose this site to visit. But the gardens were gorgeous.

The self audio tour was nice. With information stations in each area of the garden you can point the audio guide receiver and it starts automatically. I would definitely advise bring your own headphones as they weren't offered.

The history of the family unfolds in each section of the garden from the Japanese inspired garden to the castle built as a children's playhouse.

The views are amazing.

Easy to reach if you've a car. Public transport can be a challenge: there's a bus (44) that drives to Enniskerry about every hour from Dublin city center. Once you arrive in Enniskerry, it's about a 20 minute walk to Powerscourt House & Gardens.

Great place for a (half) day out, relaxing place with a great scenery.

Little bit dissapointed that there was a charge, I paid and I can afford it but I'm sure it closes this magical piece of our land to many of our citizens, maybe a solution would be free family day and create traffic through the place people will spend when they get value for money and spending money on the premises as opposed to just gaining access. I do think the staff do an amazing job. Beautiful magical place

A beautiful place, free parking, the complex has a souvenir shop, a nursery and a small zoo free of charge. Entrance to the gardens for adults 7.5 Euro per child 3.5 In the garden Fountains, castle, green areas, horses, Japanese garden, breathtaking views, a small cemetery for animals, pleasant hiking trails, we were there on a day with little rain - still recommend not to take umbrellas to the track ) Just wear a good raincoat with a hat and matching shoes.

Went in January, it was raining and super windy. It's not the best time for visting the gardens... at least to be able to appreciate the flowers. There is a small indoors shopping complex, with a tiny museum at the top. Next to the parking area there is a covered garden centre. Plenty of home / garden stuff to see and buy unless you are flying back home.

A wonderful 18 century mansion . The gardens are magnificent. The cafes and shops are beautiful and the garden centre . This is must see in Dublin mountains about 10km from city centre

I visited as part of a tour group and really enjoyed the experience. The Japanese garden in particular was really neat (and very different than other Japanese gardens I've been to), and there is a lot to see and wander through. The whole thing can be done in 1.5-2 hours, dependent on how fast you walk and how long you linger.

Wonderful place to visit

One of my favorite places we visited in Ireland. A well maintained large estate with beautiful gardens. Good price for entry (I think it was 3 per) with a variety to see. Cafe and gift shops nearby had nice selection also.

Just to be clear, this review is only for the shops and cafe. We did not go visit the garden and waterfall because it was raining and too cold out.

The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It really put me right into the Christmas spirit. There were many shops and gifts stores to browse around. The cafe was also good and had a great variety of baked goods.

Many Christmas events were going on..be sure to visit.

I would definitely return to visit the garden and waterfall one of these days.

Amazing place and the gardens are kept in fantastic condition. Nothing is out of place. The staff are very friendly and if you can get out on a sunny day, don't hesitate. The views of Wicklow are just incredible
