It was good. A lot of historical stuff they've got audio tour and a lot more so in all it was a great place!
Best place for a sunny day, nice long walks to cover the garden and very interesting landscape.
Love staying here. Great rooms, nice and big, well layed out, lovely classic decor. Great hotel grounds and nearby parkland. Staff are very professional. The head chef of the restaurant (Sika) is a real gentleman - showed me a short cut to my room when I was a bit lost (hotel divided in two parts on the 3rd level by the location of the restaurant). Well worth visit. Nice spa as well.
The garden itself is a spacious facility. However, I am disappointed with the Japanese garden - it seems very crowded in its place. Overall, there are higher-quality and botanically demanding gardens that offer a full-day excursion
Good place to visit. Bit pricey. 20 something euro for six mince pies is a bit mad. Great views, good food
Great place to chill with your lady on a Sunday afternoon
Beautiful gardens and the restaurant serves good food!
good place to visit..
relaxing..
but i think it's nicer to visit the place during spring.. will try and see it again next time..
Everything in its place, very beautiful natural and very careful. Sensational
Lovely gardens, great cafe and a great day to spend with family. 8 entrance fee per adult. Allow sufficient time to explore all the grounds. I visited during winter which was still overly but I'd recommend to visit spring summer time when all the flowers and trees blossom.
This is a very well maintained garden. Very good for kids to enjoy. With respect to COVID situation, there is proper social distancing followed
Amazing place, must visit :)
Prepare to spent between 2 and 3 hours if you want to walk around only :)
Highly reccomended to visit it.
Staff nice in garden pavilion, a pity about the outdoor dining area being infested with wasps. I appreciate that it's that time of year but I feel that they should have something hanging to attract the wasps and try to keep them away from diners. It works in my garden.
The gardens are a great place to explore for children and an amazing work of art for adults to enjoy. Make sure to visit the pet cemetery and read the headstones... the river walk is a great place to walk, enjoy some specimen trees and check out the river.
An impressive garden with stunning flowering trees, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Great place to stop when heading south from Dublin. The gardens are beautiful, the intro movie and self guided walking tour provide as much or as little info as you want. The water features and Japanese Gardens were our favorites. The tower gave great view. Definitely worth a few hours
Beautifully builded and organized , awesome landscape !!!!
Beautiful gardens that appeared in the 2002 movie The count of Monte Cristo.
There is a very impressive waterfall nearby as well.
It's an impressive garden and estate, however my impression is that it's really overpriced for what it is. You could find more beautiful natural spots to visit in county Wicklow without feeling that you have been exploit.
Beautiful route between centuries-old trees, Japanese garden, flowers and lakes ...
Excellent place for walks. Great place for a day out with family or friends.
Amazing place to be. Relaxing. Beautiful garden. Super place to have pictures.
We felt very comfortable there. Had a long walk through gardens and fragrant forests and ended with mega delicious cakes. And for shopping there is something else not just the typical Touri cheese ... What more could you want
Spectacular beauty, lovely shops, atmospheric place to have a meal or tea with a friend
Here you can enjoy the beautifull garden, many flowers. The entrance is 5 euro more or less and it will take almost two hours to visit the whole park
Staple place to have your summer outdoors trip. Nicely maintained garden with a few thematic areas. Also, they have tea-snack lounge with a nice view over the central part of the garden.
Expensive but that s expected. Gardens nice and well maintained. Would have rated higher if it weren t for the screaming little sh**s in the Japanese Gardens.
I had just come from the Botanical Gardens in Dublin the day before, so I might have been underwhelmed in comparison. The grounds were nice in the design and vistas, just not as impressive as the Botanical gardens. The shops coming into the gardens had a nice artsy selection, perhaps pricey, but good shopping.
Love these gardens, there's always a new discovery and my partner enjoys the boutiques.
Just beautiful. Make sure to visit if you're in Ireland!!! Won't be disappointed!
Beautiful place, Avoca provide food and its wonderful. It's a little expensive but it's worth it
Overpriced, always busy, full of kids. Food is good yet finding a table during busy day is challenging.
Poorly accessible for older people with a wheelchair or for wheelchair users
A very special place , amazing trees in a spectacular landscape will be back
A lovely location just outside Dublin. Beautiful gardens, lovely shop and excellent eatery with outside seating area overlooking the garden.
A beautiful venue set in stunning surroundings and usually worth a visit. However, it is perhaps trading a little on past glories and has not seen a lot of obvious investment of late. Tends to be on the pricey side. Loos needed cleaning.
Powerscourt gardens offer the opportunity to take wonderful closeups of the flowers, nature in general. The walk is 1hour long but interesting across the sequoia trees or Japanese garden. Beautiful rose garden at the beginning of the walk. Recommended
One of the best placed in Ireland to.take visitor's.
Fabulous views and a great place to have a family walk
the lovely Japanese garden and the curious animal cemetery
Well worth a full day to visit. Extensive and varied estate gardens that deserve time for exploration. Good food in the restaurant and plenty of gifts in the extensive shopping area. Everything is managed and offered to a high standard. After all, this is rated as the third most beautiful formal gardens in the world!
Really a must to go. Magnificent. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to really view everything. Beautiful gardens!
Lovely spot all round but slightly on expensive side to get entry to the Gardens.
Just go there, see the lovely garden , have a nice lunch with some wine.
Beautiful garden where the smell of flowers intertwines gently
Beautiful and tranquil. A real gem. Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended
Goid day out. Nice place to visit. Admission a bit expensive
Great park . The roses could look better. I liked the Japanese garden the best.
Lovely Gardens and beautifully kept ... I've been many times and the age is good too. Sadly the interiors were badly damaged some years ago . Restoration work is on going ... friendly helpful staff
Beautiful garden! Highly recommended, just before the exit you can also watch a film about the history of the building and the garden.
Absolutely beautiful. The house and gardens are a must-read. The waterfall is gorgeous but the road to get there can be a bit treacherous; especially if you are driving on the left for the first time. Still, very much worth the trip. Bring lunch and enjoy a picnic next to the waterfall!
