Powerscourt was lovely to walk around and see all the gardens. It was raining pretty badly but we still had fun. It was nice to get outside and see some manicured beauty but I do believe that most of Ireland's best beauty is unmanicured. It was also quite busy even for a rainy day.

Dazzling

Spent a whole day wondering around the gardens, browsing around the shops and relaxing in the grounds. Hand held guides are available to help you get the most out of the gardens. Available in several languages. The shops have a beautiful range of Avoca products. The delicatessen area has a wide variety of foods. You can take your own picnic or have lunch in the cafe. Everything looked delicious. Lots of parking available. An enjoyable day out.

Famous for their scones and cakes, but the walks in the gardens are to be enjoyed, great place to take your visitors to. I fell in love with their furniture department. Now I want to make over my home !

Do not miss the Japanese garden. An audio guided tour is available, but I find that you get a much netter impression by just walking around and reading the small placards located here and there.
2 hours time can be recommended for the visit.
Shop, cafe and restrooms are located in the main building

Found the place to be a tourist trap, 10.50 euro for 2 adult admission to the garden, which is only barely starting to bloom, everything greatly overpriced, don't bother going, at least the Phoenix Park is free and scenic

A large, wonderfully landscaped, huge park with various shops, a mediocre restaurant, huge lake, Japanese garden, over 100 years old animal cemetery and many other attractions. If you are in the vicinity, you should definitely go!

Beautiful garden and old, venerable house with a cafe and 'shopping center'.
At the moment there is no green grass to be seen because of the weather, all yellow steppe! It's a shame, but still worth a visit.

Beautiful house, beautiful garden! Definitely enough time to plan. The film screening in the house about the history of the entire plant you should look at - very interesting. The staff was already extremely friendly More

Unfortunately it was freezing cold out and raining that I didn't get to explore the gardens. I did get to see the cafe, mini shops inside, the beautiful Powerscourt Christmas/garden shop, little Nativity barn with animals (deers, donkeys, sheeps, chickens, ...) and outdoor tree/wreath area for purchasing.

The area is huge and well kept.

I especially liked the garden shop as it was very festive inside with Christmas decorations and trinkets for purchasing along with plants and decor that I unfortunately could not buy to take back to the US with me.

The cafe inside has plenty of seating though I am sure in the summer it fills up easily. There is a beautiful patio and view of the gardens from the cafe.

While the waterfall is spectacular, I couldn t believe the price to see it!
It was 5.50 each for a student. I mean.. it s literally a waterfall and should be free of charge. After all it s not like a natural waterfall and forest requires much maintenance!
