Beautiful place, great to walk around on a nice day. Pet cemetery is definitely something interesting to check out.
Unfortunately not really nice spots to sit - if this place has a proper restaurant it would've been perfect.

This place is definitely worth a visit when traveling south of Dublin. We were lucky because of the clear blue sky and sunny weather during our visit. The gardens are a beautiful place for a stroll and there's a large playground for the More

Nice views over Sugar Loaf on the way in but the masses come here in droves. Not relaxing like it should be - far too many people, vying for space, pushing.
But I asked a worker in the garden centre, do they welcome well behaved dogs on leads into their garden centre and they do. Hence the four star review (for welcoming my dog and myself)! Better I would think on a weekday! Weekends mean falling over people everywhere and vying for a parking space and not being able to find a table to eat at ..... City living at its ugliest!

Very spectacular site, to walk through its gardens quietly if the weather accompanies. We were part of the Wicklow Tour and it pays a lot, I am not sure if it is worth paying the ticket that I think is around 10 to go for free, since the tour of the gardens is not especially long. Beyond the spectacular of the palace itself, its views and its landscaped environment the rest is for tourists, that is, shops with a thousand types of typical products at the typical prices for tourists. We were lucky that it made us good and we really enjoyed it. It can also be said that there are usually many groups and that the audio guide (it is free) but it does not work.

Powerscourt contain an Avoca restaurant and shops and an excellent place to explore. It also has a garden centre and is opposite a golf course. Do visit the nearby Powerscourt Waterfall if your visiting the area.

Built in the 1820s, it is famous for its open and pleasant scenery, well-designed sculptures, terraces and pools. Dolphin pond, pet cemetery, garden with exotic flowers and plants, towering trees, pepper pot tower, Bolse Building and Bolse Falls. There is also a guide. Was shortlisted in [National Geographic] the world's top ten gardens. Come to see it in person to feel her beauty, the photos are greatly reduced.

Beautiful house and gardens. Distillery also open to visitors but we didn't do it on the day. Lovely garden centre plus furniture, household items etc. Nice children's corner with books, hand puppets, and soft toys. Staff in here particularly friendly and helpful.
Nice restaurant which is nearly always busy but substantial seating area. Also some seating in outside courtyard. Not sure if you could bring your own picnic to this area. Icecream comes available here too, 2euro for a regular one.
Large parking areas.

This place is beautiful. I will definitely be going back here again. The gardens are kept and maintained so well. There are plenty of walks and a multitude of flowers and trees to look at. The cafe is also nice, though slightly on the expensive side. And the staff are friendly and helpful. Great place to spend the day or a few hours at least.

It's not actually my experience but a guest I have staying with me recently visited and was disappointed to find she and her companions couldn't get to the waterfall as it was too far. Why don't you run shuttlebusses for tourist to get there?

The palace, although very beautiful, offers no differentiated experience, as it consists of shops and restaurants, but the gardens are very beautiful.
So if you want to spend a few hours looking at beautiful gardens, this place is ideal.

Note: the waterfall is far from the Palace and you will have to overpay to see it.

Beautiful large gardens with very old trees and magnificent view of Sugar Loaf mountain from the castle terrace. Approximately 1-2 hours walking tour. Interesting Japanese garden with grotto. Stunning view of the Powerscourt castle over the fountain of Triton lake.
