The Ranch Restaurant and Saloon Review

Place isn't very Hispanic friendly. I was there to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. We should be used to this type of behavior but honestly it doesn't get easier to acceptA bald man in a suit whom I believe was the manager was walking around asking tables how they were doing. He spoke to the table before us walked by our table looked at us skipped our table and walked over to the table after us and asked how everything was going. Then A party of 7 sat next us 20 minutes after we sat down. They got their drinks right away whereas we didnt get our drinks until after they did. We not only ordered 20 minutes before them but we only had 2 people in our party whereas they had 7. How did they get their drinks before us. And our food took longer than it should have. Even our server said it should've been out sooner. When we finally did get our food our steaks were cold. My boyfriend was bummed out to say the least. Or server was really nice trying to make us feel better. I mean he wasn't the one making our food or drinks. Hes not the one in charge but nevertheless it still sucked. We should be used to this type of behavior but honestly it doesn't get easier to accept. What should've been a fun birthday night ended up being a really sad night.

The cheesy tater tots are delicious. The drinks are strong and there's a large variety of cocktails. I've been here three times and the service is always amazing. Highly recommend. Celebrities even come here so there's some local color.

THE RANCH Restaurant has become our most frequent Sunday morning breakfast spot after church. There is always a wait, but grab a cup of coffee, and the time passes pretty quickly. The biggest down-side is the very limited waiting area.

Wow is all I can say about the steaks here. We've been here several times and have never had a bad meal. Serving size is huge and you can cut the meat with your fork!

Tomahawk steak is great. For the price and what you get, it's well worth the money to spend a bit more. Definitely better than the chain high end steak restaurants. Great service too.

When I was reading reviews about this place before, I thought, oh it's probably another typical steak house like Mastro's or Lawry's but no, this place definitely has it's unique charms in comparison. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of seating and nice ambiance. There's a bar right next to it which I did not end up going but from what it seems, it is a country style bar? Texas style?
The food, 4 stars..we got the prime rib steak, new york steak, escargot, beef carpaccio, and PB&J milk chocolate bar. The steak dishes were pretty good (I still prefer Mastro's tho) escargot tasted...very grass-like / healthy, not a big fan. Beef carpaccio and PB&J dessert were my favorite, I crave for the dessert every day and right now.
The service, 5 stars. Our waiter was knowledgable, attentive and funny.
OH! this is also a perfect date place, guys! Since the restaurant is facing Disneyland's direction, you can see the fireworks at around 9:30...can it get any more romantic?

We love the Ranch! Top notch establishment with excellent staff. Dishes are high end, so expect to pay, but you get what you pay for!

Foods good but still need to learn about service. 15 minutes is way to long to wait for your drink when there are less than 20 people in the entire place and your 10 feet from the bar.
Please people learn to fill water glasses.

This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend who said it had the best food she'd ever had, and she wasn't joking when she said it had the finest and most delicious food I'd ever have! We had a great dinner and would recommend it to everyone!

We wanted to try something other than Mastro's or Ruth's....this place was a blind siding surprise!! The staff opened the door, greeted us warmly and tending to our every need. The food was just STUPID! And by that I mean amazing. I had the New York Steak and my wife had the Chicken. Get some! Then we finished it all off with a little PB&J dessert. Come awn! You gotta love that! If you pass on that, you're not my friend. Lol

I've personally tried every single dish at thursday kitchen and i will always come back to the mac and cheese, and the steak dish as well. This place is great quality food thats well worth the price.

I ate here last year with my family when visiting. I now live here so we will be coming here a lot when everything is back to normal! I cant wait.

Had the del monico steak with a side of lobster mac and cheese. The steak was one of the top five steaks I've ever eaten. Lobster mac and cheese was exquisite. A few minor concerns were that it was a little dark and hard to see when first walking in until my eyes adjusted and it would be helpful if the special menu would differentiate between appetizers/starter and meals. Overall great experience and food. Keep in mind that this is a higher end restaurant and the prices reflect that.

This is one of my favorite restaraunts in Orange County. They specialize in large cuts of meat meant to be shared amongst a group. We have gotten the del Monaco as well as the Porterhouse and both have been sublime. The lobster mac and cheese is one of the best mac and cheeses I've ever had.

The atmosphere is sophisticated without being pretentious. You could go in jeans and a t-shirt if you wanted and no one would look at you funny.

The service is always 5 stars. Lots of wait staff that are extremely attentive. I've gone during the COVID-19 distancing, and they are doing really well, tables are spaced far apart with natural looking partitions between tables. Thanks for the fantastic meal, we will be back for sure.

Sad thing is cover charge and expensive valet parking. Reservations only.

The food is excellent and drinks just as good. Got the prime rib special which was very good. Another member of my party for the cowboy ribeye, had a taste and it was delicious.

The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant has a nice dim light ambience, great for romantic dinners yet there are other seating sections as well with warm light for regular occasions. The food presentation was very elegant with robust color and flavor and the portions were not to disappoint . The salmon was crisp and very light, filled with amazing flavor. Their filet was also exceptionally prepared and bound by rings of sauce, not that it needed any but sets their steak apart from other steak houses. Sides were adequate and tasted great. Overall a wonderful experience which left me wanting to explore the menu more on subsequent visits to come.

I give THE RANCH Restaurant located at 1025 E Ball Rd #101A, Anaheim, CA 92805 THREE STARS. I did not get a "welcome to the RANCH" or whatever it is that must be said as guests walk in and the same happened 2 hours later when leaving the Ranch. No "thank you for visiting" i've been to many fine dining restaurants throughout the U.S and acknowledging guests is very important. The menu items are delicious and the servers did a great job. 3 's

Okay, so we were there for a private party and I'm sure that they were on their game. But, oh my, was the food outstanding. The Chilean Sea Bass was beyond words. All in our party shared a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal.

Always top notch, consistent, food is tremendous, service excellent we go a handful of times annually for business and pleasure. Last night was our friends first time they were blown away. Much more than a steakhouse! Fish is equally amazing as the beef dishes. You truly get what you pay for.

Del frisco prime rib with duck fat steak fries. The prime rib had a good depth of flavor. The popcorn ice cream was a fun experience.

This review is way over due, I have nit been here in over a year. However, my meal a year ago was awesome. Great food, great service and I have to say my salad may have been the best wedge style salad I've ever had in my life. This place is on the top of the list of restaurants I want to visit when the pandemic is over. must try

Just stopped in for a quick bite and that is what you get! Great pizza, lots of toppings and it is prepared right in front of you. Comes out of the oven crisp and quick!

This restaurant is on the bottom floor of an office building and it is deceivingly large. The food is outstanding but be prepared to pay handsomely. My fish was excellent as were the beef entrees. I didn't care for the escargot but I was in the minority. Wait staff was very pleasant and very good. Would definitely return.

After a rough week, needed a good dinner with the business partners to recharge. Rated one of the best steaks in OC, The Ranch is definitely worthy of the ranking.

Located in a nondescript office tower, it's definitely not a place to come for the view. The decor inside is classy western, with larger than average tables and comfortable seating.

The multi-type bread rolls all baked together were tasty; chose the brioche and the jalapeno with some butter.

As for drinks, i ordered the Chapman Beer Works Lager, and it was quite good. Business partner got the chipotle margarita, and had to let some ice melt to fully enjoy it, as they prefer more balance than spirit. definitely get your money's worth on the pours here.

For a starter, ordered the chopped kale salad, which had a fine mix of flavors with kalamata olives, cheese and the dressing. definitely not just all kale, all the time.

Main course ordered the petit filet medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection.

Dessert was The Milky Way, a stunning presentation of chocolate, nougat and salted caramel ice cream.

Shared a special with my wife and it was cooked to perfection! Great advice on the wine and food and felt the service was spot on. I would recommend to family and friends. The Milky way dessert was exactly as described, I'm not a dessert person but you should try it and the popcorn ice cream, that was a shock to the palate but a good one.

I'm fond of telling people the more you pay for a meal, the greater chance of being disappointed. You remember that night... "wow, that didn't go so well for THAT kind of money and I could have eaten at another place 5-6 times for what I spent here."

Went here with a group of seven. Reservations seem to be a "must", as two days before, we were turned away for lack of space. There is a bar inside the restaurant, but if you are counting on getting a seat there, I would think twice, as it was full both times we went, and turnover was not rapid.

As far as dining. Well, it was good. One of our steaks for two was excellent (dry aged), while another had a tendon running through which made it a bit tough, too much so for a $130 steak. Sides were fine, salads were very nice. Drinks were well done by experienced bartenders.

Don't hesitate to go here for a nice meal. Just don't expect it to be the coup d'etat of all steak dinners.

Came to this location with friends and were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming staff .. Wow she was an amazing host. She continuously came to our table and checked back with us. And made the evening more spectacular. Friendly smile and insured that the staff too were equally welcoming .

This restaurant offers great views combined with exquisite taste! They are located on the other side of the coffee shop that I love, it overlooks downtown. I recommended this restaurant to anyone looking for a romantic evening or simply trying out the best dishes on the menu. We will definitely come back!

The food at the ranch is spectacular. The service was good, the lamb chops were good, not the best I have ever had. Overall, I would recommend the ranch. Look forward to giving them another chance

I came with a party of 4 on a Monday night. Their Yelp page says by appointment only so I had a reservation, but it was super empty at that time, so you could probably just walk in. Though at any popular hour, you would definitely need a reservation because the place is very small. It's located in a very unassuming strip mall with a small parking lot.

The steak was overcooked. They offered to replace it but from such an expensive restaurant with an amazing menu, I'd expect them to get it right in the first place. I might try this place out again and will update my review.

Hands down the best steak I've ever had! The cowboy 58oz was amazing. Cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable. My glass was always full. The wife had a salmon dish which was also amazing. I've never tasted salmon like that before. 10/10 Will keep coming back.

The only thing I disliked this time was that my cowboy steak got cold right away due to the AC being blasted. It felt like i was eating in the middle of January outdoors.. I know due to covid they probably have it like that on purpose, but it was way too cold in there.

Amazing experience. They are so professional and caring. Very clear in their communication and respond quickly to any inquiries. The broth is fantastic, you can tell it's made with love. I get a subscription for my mom and it's really improved her health and wellbeing. I can't thank baby broth enough. I will certainly be supporting them and continuing my subscription as long as they're in business.

The food served here is of proudly American-sized proportions, so come with a healthy appetite. They definitely don't skimp! Despite that, the delicate plating of the dishes here is vaguely reminiscent of some of the more hoity toity French restaurants you'd stumble upon. Overall, a good balance.
