The Ranch Restaurant and Saloon Review

The Ranch was so great, I went back again the next night. While in town for a convention I heard about The Ranch Restaurant and decided to try it out. First off, they have a great by the glass wine list which includes Silver Oak, Cakebread and the likes. The first night I had the wedge salad, NY Strip and the Milky Way dessert. All were perfect. The steak was 16oz and somehow I forced myself to eat the entire thing! The second night I was with a larger group and we ordered the Quail appetizer, deviled eggs appetizer, Pumpkin Pappardelle appetizer, a wedge salad, a ceasar salad, the maplewood chicken, the seasonal veggies (snow peas), and the star of the show - Cowboy Ribeye. Every dish was delicious. We especially enjoyed the Pappardelle. The ribeye was cooked beautifully and tatsted amazing. The only item that was less than stellar was the snow peas, but they were by no means bad. For dessert we wrapped up with the sticky toffee pudding. It, like all the others, was incrediable. I can t wait for my next trip to Anaheim. Next time I will be sure to check out the Ranch saloon next door!

Filet was delicious. Desserts were yum. Banquet hall upstairs has a view of Disneyland fireworks at night.

Food, service,ambiance excellent. Made celebrating my 80th birthday very special.

Wow is all I can say about the steaks here. We've been here several times and have never had a bad meal. Serving size is huge and you can cut the meat with your fork! It is so flavorful,even my husband who eats his beef cooked beyond belief(no sign of juice or color) loved the flavor! Servers are always great and knowledgeable about what's great on the menu. We sat in the saloon for the first time after we ate for some music and an after dinner drink and it was loud but fun.

This is an unusual place. I say that in the best of ways. You would never expect this type of restaurant inside. You are probably thinking "Cowboy Bar" or some kind of BBQ place. This really is fine dining.

But its not the pretentious, over the top fine dining. Its well executed, appropriate, comfortable, elegant, creative, fine dining with a precision staff.

Wine selection runs all prices. I hate fine dining restaurants that only have super expensive bottles of wine. You can get that here, but they have so many others. Decor is very warm and "Chicago" like with tons of wood. But in a very clean, modern way.

Micheal Rossi is the executive chef and if you are familiar with him, he used to be executive chef at Napa Rose and Ambrosia. Many of the best people that worked with him (such as servers) follow him to where he ends up. Our waiter was one of those.

We had popovers which looked monstrous. Its really hard to make those in a restaurant due to the temperature control needed. We had the fried quail which had a delicate batter and was like really nice fried chicken. We had a halibut carpaccio which looked like art and tasted so delicate and had a nice mix of textures.

We then had salads. BLT wedge. Very cold and crisp and I loved how they cut the iceberg. The kale salad was very nice too, but my favorite was the beet salad.

Sea Bass in a saffron sauce was tender, and had that beautiful oily sea bass texture. NY steak was awesome. but the surprise was the pork chop. It was the best thing and I never order pork chops when there are good steaks. The texture was like nothing I have had before and flavors were infused deep into the pork. Not sure how they did this.

Deserts were incredible. Buttered Popcorn ice cream. It was very rich and almost like a cross between soft cheese and ice cream. A deconstructed Penaut butter and Jelly desert was something out of a molecular gastronomy tv show, yet a very familiar taste and texture when it all combined in your mouth. The sticky cake was insane!

I'm from Kirkland Washington and I went to dinner with my brother and I had a great dinner awesome time with my brother and at the restaurant I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who wants a very good steak dinner was very good atmosphere and exceptional service awesome place I want to come back again please and thank you have a nice day :-)!

Yes, it's expensive. But the food is excellent, worth the cost. We had the pork chop and the prime rib, with onion soup, a great soup of the day, and sides of creamed spinach and lobster mac and cheese. All were absolutely delicious! Dessert was a peanut butter and jelly concoction, and a trio of ice cream flavors (both our server's suggestion), and they were exquisite! Speaking of servers, Aaron was our's. He was personable, attentive, and fun! He explained the menu (sinceit was our first time there) and all the specials. His suggestions helped make our meal memorable. Thank you Aaron! The other waitstaff were equally attentive ~ filling water glasses, removing plates, asking if we needed everything. Overall, it was a delicious, enjoyable, fun, and memorable night!

The pizza and pasta are great here in this restaurant! I enjoyed all the food I ordered here, and I'd like to commend the servers who treated my application beautifully. It was the best pizza and pasta I've ever tried, really. I'm sure I'll come back here and bring with me my family or friends!

Food is good... manager is great....DJ is the worst! We moved to the area last year and started going to the Ranch... because it was closer than other country bars we love... getting the DJ to play anything is like pulling teeth.... I'm sorry, but if we are spending $200-500 at this bar and the DJ is consistently being rude to us (fouth time to the bar and EVERY time we request a song, he refuses), then you need to replace him with someone who is more personable. We were warned about the DJ before... well we should have listened. I'm willing to spend the money on a nice place to dance, but not when the DJ is consistently an ass!

I held my birthday celebration at The Ranch this past Saturday and it was one of the best birthdays ever. I hadn't been to The Ranch in a few years and decided to return and have my birthday there. I should have called ahead and asked about how tables worked because I unfortunately did not have a reservation and didn't want the night to be complicated with people coming and going at different times and all that. We arrived when it opened, around 5:30, and upon realization that there were no open tables to grab, we felt terrible we hadn't called ahead. The staff immediately accommodated us despite it being a Saturday night. They pushed bar tables together and it was a perfect location for my party of over 15 to come and go all night. The staff really went above and beyond and made sure my birthday would be great. Our waitress (there may have been 2 at some point and I WISH I had asked for everyone's names!!!) was amazing and made everything so easy for our party and I'm sure that wasn't ideal. 90% of my group had never been to The Ranch and would not find themselves there usually, and they all raved about it for days after of how much fun it was and how great of an experience it was. These non-country loving friends said they would go back in a heartbeat and I am left with memories of one of the best birthdays ever, thanks to The Ranch staff. THANK YOU!

This is the best steakhouse ever. Food was excellent and tasty, the dining was excellent and also the service was great. I will definitely will be coming next time.

My cousin and I had dinner a week ago at this restaurant. While enjoying their delectable and foreign foods, we enjoyed chatting. I love their chicken and pasta, and my cousin likes the Pugliese tiramisu and pizza. We have not regretted our decision to have dinner here. Thanks to their team for being so kind and courteous! Came here to celebrate my Dads 80th Birthday and it was a memorable experience.
We had a big group and they took good care of our party of 20.
Came right at 5pm so we didn't have to wait for our table, since they open at 5pm.
All the food we ordered was amazing. Our host Jesus was a great help on our food selection, he was very knowledgeable of the entire menu.
I ordered the cowboy ribeye, and that was huge! Definitely enough to share for two. I loved the tomato salad, that was good.
And for dessert, I had the strawberry cheesecake...beautiful & delicious!

This restaurant was absolutely A-MA-ZING!!! The hospitality was impressive, everyone was super professional and attentive. We ordered the cowboy ribeye- outstanding!!! It was huge, a lot of leftovers. Made steak and eggs the Next's day, Score!!!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for celebrating something special!!!!

The weather was stuffy and sweaty, but the staff who assisted us were wonderful. They were upbeat, and they really cared for their customers, including us. We were happily surprised by the food quality and overall service. This is a definite must-try!

I was not a fan. I ordered my steak medium rare as I always do. When my steak came I could immediately tell it was over cooked. It was firm and try to the touch. When others at my table Cut into there steak, there was also med not med rare. Which is fine i can understand the restaurant being careful. But mine was obviously well done. When we asked the waitress about it. She tried to tell me that the color was completely different because it's from a different animal. Really?!?! I found this extremely insulting, and one who knows how to cook a steak can tell this was well done based on touch alone. They agreed to take my steak back and bring a new one, this time it was still was past med rare. But at least this piece was edible. But not worth the $50 price tag. I will never come back to this place.

I am blown away by the service we received at The Ranch. You pay a premium price for a more than premium experience. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful date spot or maybe even a bar trip, though we didn't hit the bar. It did look nice walking by though.

You must try their dishes! This restaurant is one of my favorites, and I believe it is the best in town. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. It was well worth the trip!

Amazing food and amazing service! If you want a good combination steak, get the porter house with the fillet steak. The meat and the fish are absolutely amazing and I will definitely be coming back in the near future!

Wine and cocktail choices are superb as are the appetizers and mains (artichoke and escargot are a must). However, I did find a bit heavy handed on the salt which could turn some off.

Really good sometimes and OK other times -- just like the restaurant's namesake. Can get busy. Fish tacos and crab gumbo are very good.

I was part of a large business dinner recently that was held here on a Sunday evening. We had a group of close to 30 people, so we were given a private dining room on the top floor. We had a private bar, and a balcony to enjoy. The service was excellent, and the food was wonderful

This review is way over due, I have nit been here in over a year. However, my meal a year ago was awesome. Great food, great service and I have to say my salad may have been the best wedge style salad I've ever had in my life. This place is on the top of the list of restaurants I want to visit when the pandemic is over.

I dine in this nice place quite a bit! This is the best place to dine. I go there routinely. The meals are excellent, the staff is welcoming and the charge is good. I like eating in this spot over a decent dinner.

Quality experience, top to bottom. We went to celebrate our anniversary and every staff member wished us a happy one, which really made it feel like a special evening. They even gave us a free dessert with a "happy anniversary" chocolate on it which was cute. But beyond a warm and cozy feeling (helped by the beautiful atmosphere of the actual restaurant), the food also gave us that feeling. It's comfort food at its best, with unique twists and fresh flavors. The servings are generous (we didn't leave hungry like you sometimes do at other "upscale" places) and I liked that everything is sustainable/responsibly sourced. It was hands-down the best meal we've had in a long time... I had the lamb chops and literally said out loud that they made me want to cry tears of joy. Seriously. Everything we ordered, from the wine to dessert, were spectacular. We'd definitely return for our next special dinner out!

I had the lamp chops rare. I thought they were great! Good seasoning, nice crunch on the outside, cooked well and good sides.

I ordered absinthe as a digestif and the sommelier did a traditional Parisian preparation, and provided some great history and context while it was made. It was a great experience.

Awesome steak selection. Clean and upscale venue. Portions are generous. I highly recommend having a nice night out here.

SOOOOOO GOOD! If you are craving fried chicken, go here! They are know for their chicken! I had a grilled cheese as well, and I normally don't like grilled cheese! But this one changed my life lol! They grilled the bread with almost like a cinnamon sugar mix so you get a crunch and a hint of sweetness with your yummy cheese! I will definitely be going back there! Delicious!
