Absolutely amazing food. Really went out of their way to help out when another establishment let us down. Great customer service. Would definitely go back.
Bought a high tea voucher for my mum's birthday and was assured booking wasn't needed, I received no slip of paper and the voucher was paid in full. My mother was treated horribly by staff and said she needed to book it in advance, she is hard of hearing and was extreemly embarassed would not recommend. I've also been for cake and a drink and it was far too sweet and exceptionally poor value. Recommend Cafe Nero or another coffee shop. Regardless of what is and isn't in cakes artifical ones tend to have more sugar in, so why is a natural caked packed full of it?
Exceptionally strange to blame the customer for booking and unfortunately I cannot amend to 0 star, there is also another review on Trip Adviser where someone else has had the same experience i.e. being told not to book and then turning up and asked why have they not booked, so clearly an issue with your team and communication. What a rude reply and I would never recommend this location what awful customer service.
The staff are always friendly and polite The atmosphere in the place always warm and welcoming And the food is amazing with a nice variety to choose from 10/10 would come here again
There was a long wait for scones and tea. So I cancelled the scones. Had another long wait for the tea. Wow will not go there again for sure. Expensive too....
Good drinks, yummy food and friendly staff, but a little to loud and crowded, tables are very close to each other so hard to have chilled conversation with someone
Had my first experience at the pudding pantry today.
Brunch was splendid, flavours were on point and the price was reasonable.
Moving onto dessert, definitely can't complain. The honeycomb and salted caramel ice cream complimented the soft, buttery pancakes so well. I would return just for the dessert.
The service was very friendly and you can see the owner takes great pride in ensuring customers are satisfied. Overall a great place to eat in town and I would definitely come back.
Best place to go for pudding, me and my friend was looking around for places to eat pudding because we needed something sweet and the pudding pantry was the only amazing place i could think of and by god its amazing <3
Took a while to get us menus, mixed up order and then took a while to get order corrected to the point where we left as rest of the food had gone cold. Poor service all round.
Just adore this place! Came back twice in 1 week cause I couldn t stop dreaming about it! Everything feels so fresh and delicious and you really do get your money s worth! I absolutely cannot wait to come back Edited my review: I now come back here basically weekly, if not more. I am absolutely in love with this place, the service is great, the food is so fresh! The prices are SO fair! You ll walk out so full! I cannot express my love for this restaurant enough!
I used to love their pancakes :( But recently their pancakes no longer have the buttermilk flavor in them and are less fluffy...... i miss the old recipe /chef
We had the festive afternoon tea for a large party and it was great. Really yummy and interesting sandwiches and cakes, and staff were really friendly. Vegans and veggies were well catered for too. Thanks!
We went for ice-cream. The orange sorbet and mango sorbet were sor-better than expected at quenching my thirst for refreshment on a fine day in April. The strawberries and cream ice-cream made me scream, like something out of a dream.
Food was very bad specially the beans and uncooked pancake . When arriving I was treated like badly, due to that fact I was black . When other customers arrive (no black ) , they was very welcome. I was also asked to pay before I eat and notice it was only me that . IF YOU ARE BLACK Please DO NOT GO HERE.
I was a tourist visiting a friend, and she suggested visiting The Pudding Pantry. Definitely a great choice, because this place has some of the best desserts I've had. (And this was one of the most memorable meals on our trip.) We split the tasting platter for two. The caramelized banana sticky toffee pudding was fabulous. You can't go wrong with the cheesecake either. Eat here!
I am so glad that my mum found this place on Instagram Best day of my week off school! 100% worth the trip from worksop and I would travel further for the freakshakes if I had to!
The Pudding Pantry do amazing breakfasts. The staff were quite willing to accomm9date me with tailoring the most important meal of the day, from their vegetarian options. The decor is light and airy and the atmosphere is relaxed. The staff are polite and welcoming. My breakfast was yummy and so was the price. I highly recommend The Pudding Pantry.
If you're in Nottingham, you simply MUST come here. The staff are passionate about their menu, which is an ever-changing selection of mouth-watering, freshly prepared desserts. Try their signature salted caramel brownies! The coffee here is absolutely delicious. My wife and I come here most weekends and always receive a warm welcome.
You'll usually find it super-busy, and it's popular with good reason. It's worth a short wait to be seated. If you want the 3-tiered cake stand and cream tea experience you need to book ahead with 24 hours' notice because everything is made fresh to order. This is the best way to ensure you get a table as ordinary visits cannot be booked.
The bacon and scrambled eggs here on sourdough toast are to die for.
Nice idea but needs a larger range of puddings and extended opening hours. It closes too early if you want something in the evening. For afternoon tea it's fine if you can find a table. It's always been too busy to get a seat when I've visited. Might be worth calling to book in advance if you plan to visit.
Really cosy place to have some even cosier food. Not the cheapest place going but the portions are generous and the quality is very good. Really enjoyed this place
This is my second really bad experience at this place. First one was a about a year ago, I decided to let it go and not write anything as people make mistakes and hoped the owner will learn from it and improves his customer service skills, however, this time all the memories cam back. Waitress mixed up the order and instead of just getting me what i asked for to replace wrong order they simply asked to reorder with a 25% discount on what we've ordered in the first place. This place had become to busy for their own good. I have zero tolerance for bad customer service and a lengthy arguing about what exactly I've ordered. I do know what I've ordered and if you've misunderstood me, just apologize and swap for what I want! Guys, there are plenty of great coffee shops in Nottingham with great customer service, no need to spoil your day with this one. try Homemade, Wired, 200 degrees and Toast (amazing breakfast & cakes!) sans the attitude!
Such a nice little place. all the food was fresh, got scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon then a brownie and ice cream. everything fresh and not stale loved it
Having been here before the food and service was lovely. However very disappointed when wanting to book a table of 5 for brunch for a family members birthday they would not reserve a table. A business that is fortunate to be busy should not fail to acknowledge the importance of securing larger bookings and that customers sometimes need reassurance on special occasions that they arent going to turn up for a meal and not get a table. Needless to say i have booked a table elsewhere at a restaurant that does recognise the importance of this.
Wonderful meal with excellent service, we had to wait a while but it was well worth it. It was a great atmosphere and was very cosy. The only issue I had was it seemed waitresses weren t in a rush for us to leave. Hopefully PP can open another cafe to alleviate some of the hustle!
Okay. Service has always been a bit slow though they've all been quite empty weekdays. Some of the dishes aren't always cooked or warmed. Quite average.
Love this place. I'm a regular visitor for anafternoon coffee and cake treat, occasionally if I'm Nottingham early I'll go for breakfast. Staff are always warm and friendly, coffee is excellent and food is super tasty.
Met up with friends for a catch up and luckily I decided to get a table with my kids beforehand as it s not possible to book for less than six people. We queued outside and then inside for about 40 minutes. We were seated next to the door which I said was fine if they could close the door, which he did. However, a better table became available and the manager, Lee, asked if we would like to move, which we did. The staff were very nice, especially Lee, even though it was busy. I had the chorizo and halloumi hash which was delicious; the poached eggs were perfect. I also had a jammie dodger blonde which was sweet and filling and two excellent pots of tea. It s not the cheapest place but for city centre location and quality, I think the prices were fair. I dropped a star as it would have been nice to have booked and avoided queuing outside, but I would definitely go again at a quieter time.
had a delicious brunch blueberry pancakes and smoked salmon granary toast. I was left to doodle in my sketchbook in peace, cool chilled out feel. Great friendly anticipatory service by a young waitress working there. My only critique is that they could do with a couple less tables there to make it more spacious.
Lovely little place . I had the American pancakes with bacon and syrup , absolutely delicious ! Waitress was very helpful and efficient . I would recommend you to try a breakfast here .
Being a long term fan, I (once again) came in for tea (being quite a fanatic) and Natalia is a qualified tea expert! She brought out my Dragon Well green tea + cake, came back and chatted more about tea and even wrote down a few recommendations for me. Thoroughly impressed with the service and produce available on offer.
Absolutely love it here, have been coming consistently for the last 3 years! Recently we went to the new Pudding Pantry lates, which is was absolutely stunning, and offers an alternative to busy, loud bars after a meal! We also got a 10% discount with the receipt from the meal we'd had before we arrived which was a lovely gesture. Love supporting Nottingham independents and this place really is among the best!!
Walked past this place on the way to another place, which ended up being closed. Came back to the Pudding Pantry instead. So glad we did! Service was great, really friendly staff. Had the chai latte which was delicious. Brunch was courgette fritters, sweet corn fritters, bacon and sausage. Best dish I've had in a while. Was fantastic! Didn't have any pudding but they looked really tasty. Definitely worth checking out.
This is a really surprising place, quietly sitting on side - and offering amazing food at more like reasonable price. Family business deliver honest high quality dessert and all - day breakfast/brunch and lunch options. When you seat and More
Food was amazing, atmosphere is lovely, decor is beautiful. Ask the till for the WiFi password. There's a few small steps to get to seating so it's not wheelchair friendly but with a bit of determination you could probably still get up.
My sister and I just had salted caramel brownies and a cappuccino. It was really good. We really enjoyed it. We always come here. We recommend the Pudding Pantry to everyone!
Had brunch today was absolutely beautiful, the staff were so attentive and friendly, we had our newborn in tow and the staff made us feel really welcome, I would fully recommend the food here to anybody, they even have vegan and gluten free menus for those of you who are in need of a tasty treat, I will definitely be going back there again hopefully in the near future,
This time It was one of my worst visit, we were told that our table is reserved after an hour, we said thats fine. but because it was weekend the food was served late and we had to eat sooooo quickly. And when it was 15 min away, the waitress came twice, looked on the clock above us and remind us that we should leave before 1.30 p.m. and when a friend asked for a dessert he was told sorry the table is reserved unless you will take it as take away (which was our aim from the begining, but the reply was a shock) About the food, it was oki but the pancakes (which is the best think there) was not tasty that day and the Cutlery were so smelly (food), i got disgusted eating my sweet pancakes with it. Weekend morning is not the best time to go and enjoy there.
Ordered the afternoon tea, absolutely delicious and the service was incredible. So friendly and helpful. Cake was to die for! Definitely recommend, very reasonably priced as well. What a treat!
Sweet tooth hotspot! Stating the obvious, I guess. The place had a cozy and charming ambiance which makes it a nice and not so expensive place for a lazy date. Do be careful though, the red velvet cookie dough, which they say is worth the wait, is cloyingly sweet and went overboard on the sugar.
Always a warm welcome from the team at the Pudding Pantry. Have been a fan since the day they opened and they just keep on going from strength-to-strength. Good coffee, delicious cakes and sweet treats, lovely breakfast, brunch, and lunch menu and the late nights with wine and dessert are great. Would highly recommend.
Very impressed. The nicest coffee and breakfast I've ever had. Worth every penny over your standard Wetherspoons stuff. Very high quality, very clean premises, and friendly and professional staff. Will be making it a regular spot.
A must-go for brunch in Nottingham city centre. Been here a few times and always been a pleasure. Pancakes are always a good bet but their savoury breakfasts are also delicious. Staff are always really friendly and the place has a really good vibe to sit and enjoy a coffee.
A really nice place over near the Victoria Centre. Good food, decent coffee, amazing milkshakes! The salted caramel brownie milkshake is particularly excellent.
Very family friendly so we often head over when we're all in town.
Really amazing place. Very comfortable, food was absolutely amazing as well as service, all waiting staff were so patient and friendly. Food did not take long to arrive. More gluten free options would've been appreciated such as gf pancakes. Otherwise, really great experience.
Went to the Sherwood location last weekend and had an issue with the dish not being vegetarian when the menu said it was. The staff were really apologetic and concerned about the issue. They really listened to the problem and made sure to make amends so it wouldn t happen again. As an apology I was offered an afternoon tea, which was absolutely lovely. They really looked after me and overall, I had a great experience. They seem like a company that really do care about customer feedback and providing a great experience, so I really couldn t recommend them enough. Will definitely be returning.
I recently came to a 'pudding pantry lates' and shared the dessert platter for two with wine and what a treat it was! Excellent desserts paired perfectly with a selection of dessert wines. Will definitely be returning!
