Met up with friends for a catch up and luckily I decided to get a table with my kids beforehand as it s not possible to book for less than six people. We queued outside and then inside for about 40 minutes. We were seated next to the door which I said was fine if they could close the door, which he did. However, a better table became available and the manager, Lee, asked if we would like to move, which we did.
The staff were very nice, especially Lee, even though it was busy. I had the chorizo and halloumi hash which was delicious; the poached eggs were perfect. I also had a jammie dodger blonde which was sweet and filling and two excellent pots of tea. It s not the cheapest place but for city centre location and quality, I think the prices were fair. I dropped a star as it would have been nice to have booked and avoided queuing outside, but I would definitely go again at a quieter time.
