What a beautiful hotel! I was there over New Year's visiting the Food Hall and it was packed! They had so many selections though! There was mini dounuts, caviar bar, frozen yogurt, pizza, sandwich, delicate desserts, oysters, sushi, anything you could ever want! Would deffinitly go back and highly recommend.

This review is for the shops at the plaza, not the plaza hotel itself. As far as public spaces go, it's very nice inside. There's coffee, snacks, food, and tables. It's not a bad place to do some work or rest in between stops.

We stayed at the hotel !!! And there are no words to describe our delight !!! Everything is just wonderful !!! Friendly staff, cleanliness, good spacious rooms (luxury category) with a living room and dressing room, pleasant smell, good cosmetics in the bathroom, interiors are designed in the same style. Everything is done for your convenience! An incredible aesthetic pleasure!
Tourist pilgrimages take place. Many people come just to see the hotel. And I understand them. There is something to see !!!
Nice restaurant, but weak bartender (cocktails are so-so, but good for America) you don't need to go to the lower floors, this is for passing tourists, there is nothing to do there. And it is worth having breakfast or lunch at the main restaurant!
Lovely jewelry store with helpful and unobtrusive staff! (Excellent jewelry can be bought at a good price with Gia certification)
I recommend this hotel! Treat yourself if you are in New York! It's worth it!!

The customer service at this hotel is horrible. You're paying for the historical aspect of the building but don't expect anyone to be kind...especially if you're a woman. Two men in particular refused to even answer my questions. What a shame because it's a beautiful place in a great location. Even trying to resolve the issue, no one cared. They didn't even pretend to care. The man I spoke with promptly hung up on me; not disconnected but hung up. I moved my reservation to The Westin.

Wonderful! This was my first trip to NYC and this was one of the events I was most looking forward to! The staff, the tea and treat selections, the setting- everything was So So Nice! Please go and treat yourself! (It is pricey, but completely worth it!) I Love NYC!!!

Had a less than pleasant checkin experience. We were traveling with a baby and arrived at noon. I was aware that checkin time is at three but really need somewhere to feed the baby. The Asian guy and lady at front desk were flat out cold and arrogant, not having the decency to at least check if the suite was actually ready and spoke in a condescending manner. Aaron was nice and saved the day turns out the room is ready anyway. Without a ramp and a proper waiting area, I definitely think the hotel could be more baby friendly in terms of staff training. Housekeeping and spa staff have been great, hence four stars.

As a small business owner I do a great deal of traveling so I ve stayed at hotels all over the country. I usually don t splurge on a business trip but when in Rome....Let me just say that all the hype about the Plaza in New York is absolutely well founded. Gorgeous hotel, gorgeous rooms, first class staff and the view of the Park from my room was gorgeous.

I did not stay at the hotel, but I did eat at the food court and got dessert there. I enjoyed the pasta dish that I got from Ora Di Pasta, and the dairy free-for-all sorry that I got from the frozen yogurt place next to it. The people were nice, and there were tables and wearing areas for anyone to sit from any of the places for food. I'd come back.

It's luxury intertwined with history. Be prepared for a $15 cup of tea, which can be fine after all the shopping at Bergdorf Goodman on 5th Avenue. The lounge is a perfect place for a romantic date and then a walk in Central Park. Occasionally, they have live music performance

Great

We went into the shops and cafeteria of the plaza for lunch. Although all the seats were full, it was a beautiful day outside and central Park is a 3 minute walk away to eat outside. There are a wide variety of food places so it is great if you are not sure what you want to eat. I can't comment on the quality of each, but the healthy plates food shop had amazing pulled chicken, potato salad, and tomato and white bean soup. We also had a latte and cheese cake from a cafe that was delicious. Everything is a bit pricey and some things look like you are paying double what you should for the quality. Take your time and remember it's NYC so it's just going to be pricey.

I was not staying at the hotel, I just entered the food court located in the sub-soil.
Very good and with plenty of variety. Almost no tourist knows and knows that you can enter the building just to eat.
That's the tip.

It s was clean when I first came the hotel front desk has some very nice people and the ac works very well But it s very bad that the hotel does not have no cameras in the hallway at all so if someone was to come in your room and steal your belongings it s nothing they can do.the bathroom is completely out of date the toilet didn t flush well and it just look so old

I love the plaza! We stayed in the Edwardian suite, and the room is beautiful and luxurious. The soaking tub was just large enough for two people, and I love that they provide scented bath sachets - it's the little things that make a big difference.

The highlight of my trip was doing high tea downstairs. I am allergic to gluten which would normally make high tea difficult for me, but the plaza has a gluten free option which comes with a large assortment of gluten free sandwiches, scones, and pastries.

You can't beat the location, it's right near all of the good shopping and dining, and you can walk out the front door straight into central park.

A grand hotel, ruined by an avaricious prince who sold off the upper floors for condos like the Chinese are doing at the Waldorf. The hotel has lost its sense of purpose, looks tired and fake and the famed Oak Room, Terrace Room and Ballroom need attention. The new lobby is a disgrace with faux marble installations. Still, the staff, the heart of a grand hotel, soldier on, indisputably discreet, elegant and assured they remain at the pinnacle of their profession.
