Beautiful hotel with a great food court in their lower level.

Absolutely beautiful. I picked up a dessert and lunch at the shops within the hotel: lovely selection and service, if a bit crowded and market-like.

I love this historycal hotel. Its great place to spoil urself for couples of nights, huge and clean rooms. Great choices for breakfast, lunch and dining. The food hall have a huge choices of different cuisines of food and beverages. I love the ambiance at the terrace and the hallway of the Plaza, and the location is perfect in every aspect close the the iconic central park and MOMA, Lincoln center and the luxureous fifth avenue stores for shopping, clubing and dining.

This iconic hotel deserves a nod for it's history but I was sadly disappointed by their relentless push for more and more money ie deposits of $200 per day that are automatically charged without our knowledge as well as service people with their hand out for endless tips. They even tried to tack on a destination fee of $50 per day on the day of check out. The manager did take care of that.
Be careful when speaking with the concierge. When I requested a fine dining Italian restaurant we were given the name of one of the worst restaurants I have ever experienced. Harry Capriani was the restaurant. When I told the concierge about our poor service and food I was first told that they don't recommend that restaurant. Then she read my email from the hotel then apologized and offered to make reservations at a different restaurant. Well, not NOW. We had our vacation planned and that was our night for Italian.
As an apology they sent a bottle of champagne and really unpleasant chocolates to our room. We had retired for the night and the butler knocked and knocked until I had to get out of bed and dressed to answer the door.
Unfortunately we don't drink alcohol. If they had truly wanted to make it up to us I would have preferred they ask us what the hotel could do for us. Not make the assumption that champagne is the answer for everyone.
We had our own private driver but every evening when we arrived back at the hotel the doorman would open my door and ask if they could get our bags. No recognition that we had been there for five days already.
There was only one chair in our room instead of two.
There are better hotels on 5th Ave and should I ever return I will stay at one of those.

Such an amazing experience. This hotel, right on the corner of Central Park really lives up to the hype. The staff are all immensely helpful and will try to solve any problem and answer any query you may have. The food in the restaurants is sublime and the actual rooms are mind-blowing. One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

They have really good steaks and they have really great deserts the architecture is beautiful. If you want to go have a wedding there that would be a very good place to do it. I would prefer doing honeymoons. They have a really good pools I would suggest this for any kind of trip.

The food court was good but super crowded without enough seating.

They were really nice there and the staff was super helpful. Plus the place was clean.

My stay at the plaza was lovely. Our room was ready early so they allowed us to check in early. It was a 5 star experience from check in to check out.

We were here, in the restaurant area, for breakfast. The decor is, as expected, very well maintained. The breakfast was delicious, the table was tastefully decorated, but the waiters were a bit below the expected level, but the prices over it. Still, it was value experience.

Really nice classy hotel right next to Central Park. Decor is amazing.

Went there for a treat after a nice walk in central park, we ended up having more than a treat, lovely time and delicious food, great service

Just walked through the first floor to show the kids. Any staff we encountered were very nice and polite.

There is a food court in the basement, making it a popular spot.

Can you love a place the same way you love a person? Every stay at the Plaza has been a dream come true. We were upgraded to the Edwardian Suite during our latest visit. Amazing view! The staff is exemplary, and so courteous and accommodating. We're so looking forward to our next stay.

we don't come her anymore. the staff downstairs/bellman and the people at the door are super rude and pushy with tips. 2 stars because we love Eloise, but having staff like this takes the magic away

Clean, decent food, a bit expensive for what you get. Too crowded

I loved the foodhall underneath. We had very good frozen yoghurt. But it was hell expensive!! 24 dollars for 2 frozen yoghurts. And the pricing is not obvious in the store.

Lady M crepe cakes located in this hotel are a must have. Absolutely amazing. Food area is a great place to relax and chill

We wanted to book this beautiful hotel spontaneously. Unfortunately there was a huge queue at the door. The concierge didn't really understand us and didn't even let us into the building. Too bad. So better book online and show the booking to the concierge that you will be allowed into the house. We would have liked to have chosen the hotel.
