As is true of most of the Four Seasons, this is one of the superior hotels in Manhattan. Although lacking a dinner restaurant, room service is well above par. And the breakfast place is just fine. Concierge services are excellent, room accommodations are almost flawless. As I said, the usual Four Seasons experience.

Beeutifull place, well organized and with very attentive staff. Everything from the valet parking, arrangement of ball room, to cocktail hours and reception, culminating with an amazing sweets bar was at the superlative level.

Lies, Shoddy Service at The Four Seasons in New York City

We were 2 adults and 5 adult children on December 21, 2013 with 3 rooms reserved at the Four Seasons located at 57 East 57th St. in New York City. We were attending a family birthday party in The Village. The reservation was booked through American Express Platinum Travel Services months ago. Amex confirmed 2 pm check in, which would have allowed everyone in our party to shower and dress in advance of the 5 pm event.

We arrived at 2:45 and were told our rooms would not be ready for an unspecified amount of time, but soon . The excuse; because it is the holiday season . We were given a room to wait. 7 people and 1 bathroom did not allow anyone to get ready for the party. The manager said refreshments would be sent to the room for our wait. The refreshments never arrived and at 4:30 we were told the rooms would not be ready until 5:30 or later. We scrambled to get downtown and went to the party without benefit of showers, etc.

We returned that night and checked in at 11:30 pm. We called the front desk to request our reserved roll away bed. It never came.

The rooms were spacious and pleasantly quiet and comfortable. Although the sheets were top shelf, the king size bed was old with a depression and my wife and I rolled towards the middle. Bathrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.

Some of our adult kids took advantage of the health club, which was well appointed and a pleasant experience.

We also had brunch at noon on Sunday at the Four Seasons. I tried to call the restaurant at 10:30 with questions, but the phone went unanswered even with the operator trying to assist. I left a message with a return phone number. The call was never returned. She tried again, apologized and hung up.

Recommended attire was elegant casual and we were in dresses, suits and ties. People dining around us were in sweat suits, sweat shirts, t-shirts and shredded jeans. We were crowded at a table that could comfortably accommodate 6. Ambiance was pleasant and the food was very good. Service was slow.

Our overall impression; we were stunned at not being able to check in as promised and then being fed lies and excuses. Service was mediocre and certainly not something you would expect at a property with the reputation of The Four Seasons.
Total spent for the overnight stay; $4,000+. Upon check out, the manager offered all apologies no offer of a discount for shoddy service or inconveniences.

After sharing our experience with other guests at the hotel, we discovered we were not alone in rooms not being ready for hours. We collectively concluded that the Four Seasons was terribly under staffed and on par with a 3 star hotel, but at 5 times the price.

From experience, we can recommend The Sherry Netherland, The Mandarin Oriental or the Peninsula in NYC. For $4,000+, you will get your money s worth at these properties.

Nice new hotel in the heart of the Hollywood area....

Nice new hotel in the heart of the Hollywood area. The hotel is just about 4 weeks old as of 10/9/17 and it looks nice and modern. valet parking only for $30. while you are in hollywood, you're still about 1-2 miles-ish from hollywood & highland area or pantages theater so if you're adventurous, its still walk-able but we preferred to uber in the area haha. as for the hotel itself, the staff was really nice and we had no issues with anything during our 1 night stay. the rooms are pretty spacious, comes with free wi-fi, and is fully equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. it is a a/c wall unit that is controlled by a temperature panel on the wall and while i didnt mind the noise, others could find it a bit noisy. also you are on Vine St so you will hear traffic noises but hey you're in the city, can't expect anything less. there is a pool and gym at the hotel but we didnt have time to check those out...nice touch that there was water and coffee available in the lobby all day and who doesnt love a free hot breakfast in the AM. was nothing fancy but they had eggs, sauage and french toast along with continental options when we were there.

for those needing to be in the hollywood area, this hampton inn is a good affordable option. this hotel is definitely A-OK if my book!

The first thing you will notice about this hotel is the staff. They will give you some of the best customer service that you have ever seen. It was not just one person who was having a good day either. Each time I left the lobby or came back I would be happily greeted. When I came down and needed help with something, they actually knew my room number without even me having to tell them again.

Love this hotel. Stayed here a few times 10 years ago, then went back today to visit a family member who was staying there. It's such a spacious timeless hotel. The interiors have lasted so well over the years, they haven't aged at all. The service is still outstanding and the rooms as luxurious as ever. This hotel is a wonderful escape from the New York busyness. Walk inside the Four Seaons and you automatically fell calm. It's a very special hotel.

Comfortable, very clean, and convenient accommodations. Rooms are well appointed in terms of cupboard space and bathroom amenities. Not quite luxurious but more than comfortable. Respectsble and subtle. Lovely neighborhood. Interesting boutiques, fine dining restaurants, Apple Store, Central Park...all within walking distance.

Unparalleled experience. Service you can trust. Our larger than usual room was super clean and cozy. Beautiful view. Bathroom had shower separate from bathtub. Walk in closet. Really good breakfast. Gluten free options. Staff was so helpful and warm, it felt like we've known them for ages. Great memories. Can't wait to come back!

We came for my sister Dorit and her Husband Pk's wedding and truly had the most Memorable Weekend! The Staff is so amazing and I want to thank Hodan for truly making sure Every Detail was Exceptional! Sasha who took care of our belongings was also a superstar with the smallest details from the 15 bags of luggage, to Ice in our bucket, and making sure we knew how everything works in our room. The hotels truly goes above and beyond with the truly finest details of cozy warm slippers to having absolutely extremely clean rooms. The level of service with everyone always having a smile and making sure that at every moment of our stay was like a dream or a fairy tale. You must at least once in your life have an experience to stay at the Four Seasons, you will Never forget it!

Service was very slow and the wrong items were brought out. Drinks were over 20 for simple cocktails and very mediocre. It took the staff a very long time to stop by for initial order and checks. Someone else stormed out when we arrived and I wish we had followed suit. Not worth the time, there are many better bars within a stone throw.

Never before had I ordered ramen for breakfast, but I couldn't resist, and I regret nothing. Maybe only being so full. All the portions were more than generous, and all of them delicious.

The beef stew is very bad, the taste of the couple's lungs is super fragrant.
The mushroom soup is full of mushroom flavor, and it feels very healthy. The buckwheat cup loves it! It s soft and soft. I like it. The bamboo hair is very crisp and good.
