I finally made it to see zoo lights and it was awesome. They had the lights set to music over the water. I had hoped to see a few nocturnal animals but most of the animals exhibits were closed to visitors, otherwise it would've been 5 stars.

Second time we have gone and there is always so many animals not in there exhibits, it's over priced for not being able to see many animals and this time around the feeding of the giraffes was closed as well.

Normal day at the zoo would be a total 5 star but today an employee of the zoo walked out of the bathroom without washing her hands. Then we found that all the food in the vending machine was out dated like months ago. For the price we pay at the zoo, neither should be happening.

I really like this zoo. Its so easy to get good food here and some of it is affordable. The exhibits are nice the animals are always out. I have been to Brookfield zoo in Chicago, Lincoln Park zoo, San Diego zoo and overall this one is my favorite.

While there have been some attempts to make the zoo safe during a pandemic, the mask requirement only goes as far as the entrance. I took my son (2 1/2) and we both wore masks. It made me uncomfortable to the point that I had to go home how many people were taking their masks off as soon as they entered the zoo. There is no enforcement past the admission gate. There is clearly a divide between the people trying to be responsible and those who have no desire to wear a mask.

Always enjoy our visits to the zoo! The attractions and events are fun. Kids love the animals and rides. They have camel rides, carousel, a slide, water play areas and a tree house that the kids Love! Be prepared to spend money though.

Was hoping for a nice zoo experience but so many animals were not visible, or were out for medical reasons that it was a pretty poor experience. I've been to a lot of zoos, and this one did not compare with any of them.

I gave this place a 4 star review because it's a bit ridiculous how expensive tiny little snacks are. Because we learned our lesson last time the next time we went we brought our own food and snacks and drinks. BUT I LOVE ANIMALS. I feel the curators take great care of the animals!

Go during Winter months because the weather is always in the low 70s. Basic cafeteria burger stand with snacks, nothing fancy. Tour trains, children's activities, and interesting regional animals from the world. The best part is feeding the giraffes.

Every visit does not disappoint. There's always something new, whether an event or a program, for the kids and family. The entire staff is courteous and helpful. The animals are well taken care of and habitat enrichment & public education is always on the table. The landscape is also wonderful & functional. The facilities are kept clean & accessible as necessary.

Disappointed, we were told it would be 2 to 4 hour wait to get in to see the zoo lights event, even after purchasing the tickets online, they should have never sold that many tickets, what a waste

Its too expensive the 1 bathroom doesnt have a door you have to pay for every thing like paper towels there is nobody to escort you in the petting zoo the animals are skinny. Im from Colorado and i haven't experience nothing like this

It wasn't super crowded and they are set up pretty well for distancing and avoiding groups of people in one place. Staff was super helpful guiding people where to go. We have a season pass from Feb we haven't used since that visit so it was nice to go.

Looks like they are doing some upgrades soon to the African animals exhibits.

I would say to be cautious right now if you are susceptible or super concerned about COVID... the rules are to wear a mask when you can't be distant, which is a majority of the time. there are plenty of low traffic areas to take a mask break. But its a diverse crowd and plenty of people are pretty loose with how they mask up. Around exhibits with small crowds of people, there was always at least 1 person or family who refused to wear a mask.

Totally infested with bees. My children and I were busy running away from bees, rather than enjoying the exhibits. Bees even cover all the trash cans. Food is outrageously expensive as to be expected at the zoo. I paid $3.25 for a lollipop. Also, it is not as big as I thought. It took about an hour and a half the walk the entire park.

I love walking the trails here. It's my favorite hang out. Especially with the life size statues you can touch. The cafe has an addition of flavored ice cream cones with 8 icecream flavors to choose from.

If I could give negative stars I would! I went there on Jan 9th for my birthday thinking it would be a great way to spend my birthday. By the time I left I wanted to cry & ask for my money back. Most of the animals were alone & depressed. They were either pacing or sleeping or worse! The jaguar was meowing & sounded depressed & crying. The elephant was so bored by herself that she just stood there swaying. I will never spend my money at such a godawful zoo again!! The drive to San Diego for their zoo is MUCH more worth it!! This "zoo" should be ashamed of themselves!!
