$40.00 to see a bunch of big plastic bugs! Some of the animals were on health watch so were north outsider to see, others were so far away in the only shade available, you could not see them. Only one otter in the cage by itself. Not worth the money or the effort!

It's okay if it's the only zoo you know. But most city zoos have more of the same species of animals. There seemed to be only one or two of anything which makes it difficult to see them if they are not out.

Phx zoo is my favorite! I bought a membership so we visit once a week. Each visit we do different things instead of trying to see everything in one day. My family has tried the camel rides. I believe its up to four riders per camel. They walk you around about three times and stop for photos by the zoo photographer and also if you have someone taking pictures from outside the closed off area. I recommend taking your own pictures unless you want it in the zoo frame for a souvenir which costs $36 for 4 photos and frame. Stingray bay is pretty neat. You can pet the stingrays. We also fed the giraffes. They have signs with the times the early feeding time is 10:30am. Kids feed them lettuce and adults feed them pellets. They also will allow pictures and even take one for you. We did Bugs, Big Bugs! Its ok for the kids but i am not willing to pay for this another time. All these interactive experiences are additional cost. If your a member you'll get a discount on them(about $1-$4 off) Hand sanitizer is also provided at each interactive exit. Zoo allows you to bring in your own food/drinks + Strollers/wheelchais. You can also rent strollers/wheelchairs.

Went with the family including our two young grandchildren. At 4 and 2 they were enthralled with all of the animals and especially being able to try and milk the life-size cow near the petting zoo

Although the entrance fee is high, the exhibition area is large and you can see lively animals. You can also experience camel riding.
It is recommended that you bring binoculars and telephoto lenses, as animals are often far away.
It is also a good point that the food is reasonably priced.

There's always something new! I dont know what kind of lizard this is but it is beautiful! However as my mom is in a wheelchair. We couldn't afford an electric one to rent. They wanted 40 bucks and as a member I'd get 10 back. People don't realize how much more it costs being in a wheelchair and less income. It's truly unfortunate. So we couldn't go see everything because it was very hard to push her up some of those hills I almost didn't make it. And going down was worse I lost control a couple times but avoided dumping her. So overall even though im.a member I give it 3 stars.

This is the first time they had to drive through with the cars in the zoo.it certainly was well-thought-out and there was a webpage you could go to to listen to audio and have a tour of the whole zoo.

At the Phoenix zoo right now with our grandchildren. What a rip off! Over $70 to get in here for the 4 of us $45 for a very simple lunch. The worst part is, so many exhibits had signs up "animal out of exhibit!" And, everything the kids want to do has an extra charge! Very disappointing.

I went to the Phoenix Zoo this past Monday and I wasn't impressed. It's the first time in about 6 yrs. They don't have a lot of animals there. I was expecting to see more of a variety. It looks like they had some fun things for the kids. The food was pricey and barely average. Just which the Zoo would step it up and get some cool animals.

Honestly an amazing place. Beautiful zoo. Has many animals to see. It was our first time seeing this zoo as we live in Tucson. Has many places where you can sit down. Even has a beautiful expensive seatings in one area as far as I know. Beautiful plants, lights, as the murals they have. Everything is so beautiful!! ( Adding some photos as they are amazing)

Great zoo! Lots to see. Would not recommend the train ride, it's short and you don't really see much. They have 2 splash pads for smaller kids and misters in the summer. There are a couple of restaurants to eat and a Starbucks which is not only more expensive than your average Starbucks, but also, they don't accept payments through the app.
Overall, great place for families!

We were disappointed in the zoo. Lots of empty cages, all of the snack bars were closed. The animals had little or no "play things", the water pond in the bear cage was empty. It cost $25 per person to get in, but there were many hidden fees....want to see a movie, $5 more, an exhibit on robotic bugs,$5, ride the train or carousel, more money. Not an affordable day for families with kids.

The kids love coming here. We got a membership a fee years ago and just keep renewing it. It's perfect for a lazy sunday stroll around the animals. It's also nice that they are constantly upgrading and refreshing things so it's not stall.

A beatiful zoo with nice walking paths with gorgeous plants and many animals. The funny thing is the kids favorite part was the sprinkler area, a great addition to any attraction in the desert. They also have a very large animitronic dino exhibit.

This is worth a 5 star but the extreme pushy photo people at the entrance ruin the experience. The rep told me i had to stop and take a picture when i decline they kept insisting. Just spend $25 to look at animals i shouldn't have to deal with this.

We always enjoy the zoo. It s close to our home. Sometimes Groupon has good coupons otherwise it is on the pricier side. I don t mind since it helps keep the animals in better conditions. When the weather is great it s worth looking into their membership. Get your exercise and have ur kids enjoy the day. There s a petting zoo and they keep it very clean. Also, you can ride the camels! Def a great day to spend there!
