The zoo is well maintained, a little disappointed anyway, the entry at $ 25 per person and you have to pay more $ 3 / pers to see the giraffes closely, the rays .... It's not very cool!
Pretty ballad anyway.

Large zoo. Many animals to see. Great place for fresh air & exercise. Entry is pricey. However, for families w EBT benefits you can get in for $8/person up to 4 people on SUNDAYS only. Be sure to take snacks and drinks as they are quite pricey inside. Also, there are things inside you have to pay to see/do.

The animals were very spread out and there were a lot of hills. The food was overpriced. No misters or fans so the hot az sun baked us and the animals. There was a splash pad which was really cool although a little crowded, but 35 dollars (1 adult 1 child 1 infant) for the splash pad and 3 animals was way too expensive.

Was a nice zoo but I am spoiled with the best zoo in the world being in my own backyard. Was some nice areas but animals were few and far between and the layout was not great and forced you to backtrack quite a few times to see everything. Lots of the stores were closed and a lot of the animals were off display. We visited in November and it was plenty warm to have things open but they did not have many visitors. I have seen more visitors at our zoo in negative degree weather.

Fun experience with my family. Some of the animals we wanted to see were hiding while we were there. Maybe because it's 100+ degrees outside....understandable. Zoo keepers & employees were nice too.

It was really fun, but it was kinda hard to get to because of a marathon that was going on. I understand that they can't do anything about it but it was still very inconvenient. It added an extra 20 minutes to the drive. Other than that, I love the zoo and constantly visit.

Zoo Lights is amazing as always. . I love that new lights are added each year and our daughter loved the reindeer! Get there early to avoid overflow parking. On the positive side, if you do end up in overflow parking the path to the zoo is well marked and well lit.

The zoo is an amazing getaway in the middle of the city. You feel like you're in a different land under the beautiful canopy with the incredible animals. Awesome spot to take the kids! Our 3 and 1 year old's love going. We purchased a yearly membership for all 4 of us that cost under $100. Can't beat that! And you can bring your own food and drinks, although the food is surprisingly good there as well. Highly recommend!

Beautiful zoo, and well taken care of. However, they need to do something about the bee population. At every trash site there are a ton of bees and the swarm around. They need to ge5 enclosed garage containers!

The Phoenix Zoo ZooLights experience was great.

The Phoenix Zoo ZooLights experience was great.
There are many animated light displays to see and even a synchronized light and music presentation centered around the lake.
The themes for the light displays are mostly animal themed and obviously created by professionals.
There is also a short 4D classic Christmas movie in the theater that the young and old kids love alike.
This is a wonderful way to spend the evening with friends and family and also an annual tradition to continue for years to come.

Phoenix Zoo has unique activity's unlike any other zoo out there like feeding giraffes, being able to go inside an exhibit with the monkeys, having an opportunity to be able to pet stingrays, they are also a rescue foundation helping endangered species who grow and repopulate and they also rescue animals from places like the circus among other places.got and when it comes to the children not only did they have multiple playground areas located throughout the zoo especially since it's getting to the hotter seasons they have multiple splash pad water play areas as well. They also have cool site attractions like the carousel or a 4D movie theater they also have things like tour guide buses where you can relax for a little while and get on a tour bus and they'll take you around the zoo letting you see a little bit of everything and they'll give you so many interesting cool facts and you'll learn so much! I highly suggest the Phoenix Zoo for multiple reasons and that and there's always something new to see and seasonally they'll have it special trail this last season it was and big bugs the season before that was dinosaurs who knows what's to come this upcoming season it's always something exciting down at the Phoenix Zoo!

I'm not sure if it's because of the Arizona heat but not many animals were out or active. Some were asleep. Terrible animal viewing experience. The best part for me was riding the camel and looking at giraffes... That's about it.

Went to this zoo to kill time before our flight. Did not enjoy it at all. They literally had 1 of each animal, which were barely visible. Only plus was that it had the most giraffes I've seen at a zoo

By the value ticket so you can pet the baby stingrays. It can be very hot in the summer and has limited hours but understandable due to the heat. A good variety of animals including a baby orangutan.

We have a membership. It's great for the most part, but this time we went on a field trip day and it was eye opening how crappy the supervision was. Not the zoos fault, except one of their workers almost ran my kid over in a cart because she wasn't paying attention. Other than that, it's always a good time.

Great place for locals or visitors. Wide array of animals, beautiful settings in the hills of Phoenix which make for a picturesque visit.

The zoo itself is very easy to navigate, well signed and lots to do for kids and adults. The guided tour which also includes a 4D movie is a nice add on as it helps to layout the zoo and gives you a general sense of where everything is.

Highly recommended if you're visiting Phoenix or if you've never been and are from the area.

I like the idea of zoo's but am concerned with the space and care they give each animal. This zoo seems to do a good job of both. It was a great visit my son and I had. There is a lot to see and do. We were there for 5ish hours and did only some of what we could. Our favourite was the orangutans watching them play was funny.

The Phoenix Zoo is always full of amazing attractions and is an all around beautiful place to spend your day, especially as a family outing! Our area is extremely lucky to have such a beautiful zoo environment that is full of such majestic animals of all different species. Make sure to check out the Stingray Bay for an awesome experience that you will never forget.

The biggest zoo we have ever been too ! It's an all day event to walk around this zoo ! I do recommend the membership you will get your money out of it . All the animals seem happy and well cared for , Most importantly . The only time I was unhappy , was with the zoo lights! It's a LOT of money for something that only took us 30minutes to walk around and not to much hands on for the kids . Other then that really nice zoo !!

This zoo is very spacious for the animals who appear to be clean and we'll kept. The employees are very friendly and the spectrum of animals is wide. No theme park rides but there are animals to ride on and plenty of places for little ones to play, including two splash pads. This zoo also does zoo lights which is fun and trick or treating.

Been a while since we went last, but my daughter wanted to go for her 3rd birthday. We did the ride around the park which I've never done before. It's really cool. Gives you a synopsis of the whole Zoo in 30 minutes, so you know kind of where every exhibit is and like to see/go to while you're there.

Also the zoo lights during the winter is fantastic. Highly recommend!

So amazing I honestly loved all the animals!!! They seem very well taken care of which brought a smile to my soul. They have an opportunity where you can pay to get up close with the giraffes which I now regret not taking advantage of but that s ok next time! The bird room was an amazing experience. I also enjoyed the monkeys that was way too cool. Wish I could come here everyday.
