Absolutely loved our visit to the zoo today. We didnt get to see all the animals, but we did wear out two rambunctious little girls. I rented a power scooter due to a bumb knee. It made the entire day so much better! It was only $30. So worth it! There are so many new exhibits coming soon. I can't wait.

So terrible, the elephants are pacing up and down and looked stressed. I feel ashamed that Oregon Zoo in my state clearly is not looking after them. Please do not visit because for me it was traumatizing so can't imagine for children.

The zoo parking fills up fasf. Plan to ride a school bus from the overflow parking lot or ride max to the parking lot. I highly recommend prepaying for tickets to save 20 minutes in ticket lines. Plan for cold kiddy hands and bring those gloves. Train ride is high light and so is the carousel for kids under 7.

We love the Zoo. It is so clean and even though their were a lot of animals missing due to the construction of new habitats we still enjoyed the animals we were able to see. My only issue is you have to pay for parking $8, then the entrance fee which is a lot $18 for adults and $13 for kids this does not include the train and the carousel. The cost certainly makes going very often impossible. We are looking forward to going next fall 2020 to see the new exhibits.

Tried to go, got stuck in the traffic circle that is their parking lot for an hour and simply gave up. Only lots B & C were open and there were 100+ cars circling the parking lot looking for a non existent spot. When asked why lot A wasn't open we were told it's because they couldn't send a shuttle out there and we should go find a MAX station to park at instead. Hang a sign that says no shuttle service for this lot and call it a day. If you have the space.... and a huge amount of people getting very frustrated why not just open the lot?

I have always enjoyed going to the zoo, it's great for famliy bonding, school field trips. Or chillin with your best friends. The Oregon zoo also has a variety of education programs through the day about the diffrent animals, for example the birds of prey program or the feeding of the animals. The staff is always willing to help visitors find there way through the zoo or answer any questions they may have. During the winter, spring and summer months the have special events dedicated to the season, such as zoolights, and summer concerts. It's a great way to spend a simple and easy day with family and friends visiting The Oregon Zoo.

I was thrilled to see so many animals that were active. The elephants, 5 lions, a cougar right up close to the glass, giraffes, cheetahs, eagles, seals, the otters were very active and entertaining. I did think the entrance fee was expensive so we bought the family plus pass so we can bring our other grandkids when they come.

Pretty lame visit this time as many exhibits are closed or gone. No polar bear, no orangutans, no hippos most of the primate area is closed and there are no signs or indicators of this until they have your money and you are inside. They have a well practiced excuse that there are many other exhibits. They should warn people before they take their money.

Called before hand to see if they could accommodate our motorhome. After we arrived we navigated thru tight areas and were trying to find the big parking areas. After turning around twice we were directed to lot A. Which by the way couldn't accommodate anything over 25 ft. They did say there was a lot a huge walking distance away we could park but , after having surgery myself and wife's neuropathy that was not an option. We ended up paying for 5 spots to park our motorhome. The zoo lights were a joke poor quality set up not worth the trip or the parking cost. I would avoid this as a travel destination if you have a longer vehicle and any medical needs you need accommodated.

There are a lot of great various looking animals. There were several little playgrounds throughout the park to keep the kids going. There is good food to eat inside the park or you can picnic along your way. If the parking lot is full and you have to take a shuttle there's a silver lining in that you don't have to pay for parking.
Strollers are available for rental.

Cons: There were many closed exhibits.

This zoo is great. There a lots of animals. Feeding times are posted for exciting moments. Food served here is pricy, but good. My children love looking at the exhibits and playing in the big sandbox under the raised walk way.

The price for admission is a decent amount but EVERYTHING else is way over priced. Make sure to pack your own snacks and drinks unless you want to spend 20 bucks on lunch for 1. Staff is pretty friendly and helpful. The added mist machines are really nice during these hot summer days.
