So cool. Honestly would probably not go during COVID if I didn't have an annual membership though - long lines to see anything inside, and a lot of exhibits are closed. Hopefully will be back to normal soon.

One of the best experiences with my family.
Being able to interact with them about the Marine world and transport ourselves to the ocean meeting different species of it.
It was very interesting to see the sharks, to be in the tunnel, among others.
I recommend it one hundred percent.
We loved

I always liked sea worlds, and I have been fascinated by the underwater world my entire life. So you can understand how exited I was to visit the NYC sea world on Coney Island. But!! There are many closed sections, and you miss a lot. So if you plan on coming here, check if they opened the entire place.

Most of the facility is closed due to renovation (damaged by hurricane Catherina) but the place is priced almost the same ($5 discount). Very small. Takes 30 mins to visit all of the attractions

There are picnic tables at the entrance. The entrance line was quick. I liked the acuarium tanks, but somehow the exposition seemed "small". The spectacle w seals? was nice. It was a good experience at a good price. Hope they finish construction soon.

My friend and I came all the way from New Jersey to aquarium on subway. We got so excited about going there and in the second we got in to the cashier we have been told that we are not allowed to come in. Apparently the entrance is available from 18 years old and anyone who is under it cannot go by himself. We didn't give up and we looked for some person to come with us so we can still get in. After twenty minutes of searching we found a lovely woman who really tried to help us. We went to the cashier again after we made sure we can walk in with some stranger as long that she agrees to watch us and they all of a sudden changed their mind and said we can't go without a family member. They totally ruined our day. We went back on the subway so disappointed, they can be better than that.

It's a nice friendly atmosphere for the entire family. It feels like you are really under the water with the fishes. The shows feel like you are really up close and personal with the sea creatures...

Disclaimer: A large part of the aquarium was under construction when I visited in 2017, so my rating is limited by the fact that the offerings were rather slim when I was there. This is an okay aquarium but not nearly the class act that you would expect from a city like New York. If you have limited time I would skip and visit Coney Island and walk the boardwalk instead. That being said, if you have the free admission with a new NYC ID like I did, worth a visit to take advantage. Just don't expect anything spectacular.

It is slowly recovering from hurriance sandy. They do have a new center that is still under construction but will be worth the price. Its still a small aquarium however you get a 4D movie on top of it.

Had a nice time here. Favorite part was seeing all the sharks. From what i understand they are building a new exibit so hopefully next time when i go there will be a bit more to see. Tickets are reasonably priced. They really need to do something better with the two huge turtles that are tucked away in a corner. I love turtles and was so happy to see them but was very dissappointed in the tank they were in. So sad.

Its okay

Very disappointed A large group of us went to the Aquarium On July 4, 2019 and almost a lot of the animal exhibits were closed due to staff cleaning the areas up , scuba diver I. The tanks cleaning the large rocks and glass in the tanks , penguin area animals were not out due to the area being cleaned . Seal area being cleaned , we were a ground of 15 and a lot of us traveled from Virginia to see the animals and the show to see some areas were closed down and cleaning was being done . We
Went to sea lion show and the spray mist cooking station was broken so the metal benches were very hot and the workers didn t tell anyone that it was broken so we all sat down once we complained he said u can always stand if seats are hot . This was unacceptable while the place was full so we has no choice to stand and watch the show in the heat with no spray mist fans blowing while other areas where working . Parking was so expensive but we paid it to park the car due to outside parking was meter
Area and we were not allowed to leave the aquarium unless we paid again . We were there for about an hour or so my cost to go for one hr 200.00 for admission and parking . We left and walked the board walk and got on some rides. Which after awhile it started to rain so we left
With a bad taste in our mouths wrote a letter to the Aquarium to complain 2 weeks ago never heard back from anyone .

The aquarium it's nice there some places they need to put a lot of love. The second level by the gift shop its kind of sad it's all full of bird poop and stinky. The sea lion show was ok. Its obviously not sea world . I'm not a animal show lover I went there cause family visit but the sea lion looks healthy. Otters were huge and cute . Shark exhibit The place really amaze us that's worth the money .

Very Overpriced. Nothing wow. Parking over priced too. Took 45 minutes to see everything. Fish, Sea Lions, Pelicans, Penguins, Sharks and Turtles. Sea Lion show was cute. I thought there would be a big improvement since I've been here last but no major changes. They need to add more animals to the Aquarium...

Nice.

It was a hot day, the 1st tunnel aquarium exhibit had no AC, that was frustrating. The entire path to other exhibits can use some intermittent shading. ( Bring your own shade in the summer). I would be great if someone can donate cooling mist areas along the park. The outside bathrooms can be demolished and re-done. Ice cold water beverage stands would be great. The new shark exhibit was the best air conditioned area, so we went twice. Nyc can do better with this landmark. Purchase your tickets when you arrive Vs online. If the 4D movie theater is over heated, you will not be able to get your money back. You will get a voucher to return until the end of the year. When you pay cash and have your receipt, that s when you can get a refund.

The new shark pavilion is awesome
I highly recommended this place.

My main attraction was the shark exhibit and sea lions other than that I was very happy they had half off because it wouldn't be worth paying full price it was 6 of us and it was going to be like 140. It was overly crowded and it was very Hot nice one time visit but wouldn't do it again..

We were so excited to visit aquarium after renovation, but it didn't impress at all. Overcrowded, and very small. Shark pavilion represents only a few types of sharks. The only thing that we loved was a small musical for kids. The guys who performed the show were awesome! If I could I would give them 5 stars. After visiting great aquariums in Boston and Toronto, this one was wasting our time and money. I recommend you to book tickets online to avoid the huge line at the gate.

Not very large at all even with the new shark tank. Maybe a half day activity but the price is too steep for it to be just that and the movie is extra... Membership is also not worth it, because the guest option only works if you're with the person who bought it. Why even call it a guest membership if you can't be a guest and use it?
