The experience was good but a bit pricey. Still awesome especially if you have children.

Insanely crowded when we went. Some exhibits are currently closed for renovations: check that, and things like feeding and touch tank times before your visit. It's not a large aquarium, and mostly outdoors, but very pretty and well-kept.

Awesome! Great place to go when your bored and want to look at some fish. Even though part of the park is closed this is still a cool place to go with kids and younger siblings.

A spectacular place worth returning as many times as you want

The New York Aquarium is an aquarium that although distant, has a professional infrastructure, surprising in the variety of species and the care with the tanks. It also has live shows. Like the seals, which are very well trained and provide many joys to the attending audience. It has a meter in front, which greatly facilitates access.

Wow! It was a good experience. An opportunity to see different species of the aquatic world in one space? It's something everyone should endeavour to see. It's a pretty new place so no fear of the sharks breaking out of their tanks . If you by chance become bored or you're done viewing the beauties, you could experience the 4d shark tank as well or walk next door into the Coney island beach. I will do it again.

The shark exhibit is pretty cool, and the outdoor theater with the sea lions show is super nice.

New shark exhibit is amazing! This place is defiantly worth the trip to Coney Island! Kinda crazy packed (even when I went midday Monday) so plan accordingly!

Under extensive renovation and although price has been reduced to accommodate this, it is still pretty high

Parking was very expensive $40.00 Lines were very long to get in. Already had tickets but had to wait on a line that extended to the boardwalk and all the way down. No restaurants anymore. Shark exhibit was nice.

Nice place, at the moment is under construction,but still have lots to see, merchandise is also cool. The show with sea lions was very funny.

When we went in May, hardly any attractions were open. We were very disappointed but will try again December

I love the sea lions show but the parking lot was overcrowded and some of the people park there were visiting the beach not the aquarium, i was very upset about that. We had to wait one hour to park in the parking lot. Once inside the aquarium I had a good time. I am waiting for the renovation to be completed to return.

Do not spend your money here. Very poorly kept. Staff is rude. Under construction. So virtually nothing to see other then a few tanks. We went in and out in less than 30 minutes. Disappointed.

An attraction for the whole family and it cost reasonable.

I loved this place. So interactive. And so great to learn so much while also see a great cause like helping the environment and reducing pollution. All very well done

Cute aquarium 1 time visit. Don t go out of your way to come here; not worth the price.

Unfortunately there is still a lot of construction and rebuilding. I would revisit this place once it's up and running at 100% currently there is not a lot to see.

Loved sea lion shows. They were so well behaved. Also they were so funny too. The 4-D movie was awesome too.

This place is the most amazing place you could go spend with your family. It even has a show of sea lions.

Great place to take the family. The new set up is great. The 4D experience was not worth the wait at all. Shark exhibit rocks. Needs a lot more umbrellas or something for shade.

The renovation was worth the wait. Looking forward to seeing more to come.

Great place for kids, under 3yrs are free. Food options are limited but you can bring your own lunch, plenty of outdoor seating. It's a little light on exhibits I felt, but the sea lion show is great and there are a lot of learning opportunities. Parking lot is ample but you do have to pay unless you're a member. Friendly staff, even the parking lot attendant. Will go again!

MEDIOCORE. A good visit but nothing extra ordinary co.pared to some of the aquarium
S that I have visited in other cities. For a world class city (NY), this aquarium is so so. The good thing about this place is that it is located near the beach so you can enjoy the beach after your visit to the aquarium. Not a lot of exotic fishes and the facility itself is small. The ticket counter gets crowded during the weekends and has a long line. You can get the tickets online or on one of the self service kiosk, if you dont want to wait on line. Pls note that there is also just one self service kiosk, so that might take a while as well.

Beautiful small place to visit for the whole family during school break. Love the shark exhibit, very educational and cool interactive experiences. Even though I visited big aquariums like Sea World Orlando before, this was still interesting and educational. Corals and tropical fish tanks are also very beautiful. Also, we loved penguins, California otters, and sea lions show. Sadly we didn't make it to 4D theater to watch Shark movie. There are also couple of new exhibits, Spineless and PlayQuarium, coming soon.

Great place to spend an afternoon looking at aquatic animals.

Still under construction, so the available exhibits are limited. Admission is discounted because of this, but all in all, not a bad way to kill a couple of hours in Coney Island

It was alot of fun. Even in the light rain. It's not as big as I expected. We covered the whole thing in about 4 hours. Seal show was good, but a little short. Especially compared to sea world. Staff was pretty friendly. Overall a good experience.

I love ny aquarium I use work there for 10 year lost my job because hurricane Sandy i apply for my job again I wonder if I going to get contact at all it been a week now

Nice to see animals, could clean up the living quarters tho.

Most areas of the aquarium were closed when we visited. Have been in the past though and enjoyed the variety of sealife.

It was fun my only criticism is they had ran out of water bottles so eventually the kids and I had to leave.
