Love this place every time I go. We were there for the train display this time which my smaller kids loved. It's headed towards model train aficionados it little kids, but was really enjoyable:)
Annual plant sale fund raiser for Arbor Day weekend. Nice plants at reasonable prices; good selection and selected for our region.
Very organized parking, was mildly crowded but setup very nice.
Wonderful grounds. A library worth checking out. The food at the cafeteria is okay but not great.
A beautiful outdoor environment, very organized, so much to see and learn about nature, a heaven for photographers especially in the fall when leaves changes colors, you can walk, drive through the beautiful scenery, staff and security are very friendly and helpful, membership is reasonable.
Beautiful grounds, well kept. We got in on a discount, but I feel that it's a little pricey otherwise.
Had a great time here today. It was a beautiful day to be outside. Need to visit several more times to walk through it.
I love the beauty of the Arboretum. All workers are welcoming and very informed. It is clean, beautifully kept and always offers something different to do providing experiences ever changing and exciting.
Beautiful place but I wish they had more than 4 days a year to bring your dog. Maybe once a month? I won't support them until we can at least use it 12 times a year. Until then we'll see you once a quarter.
Great place Children garden play yard Great trails just a price is game ridiculous Membership now is almost 200. That's the only way to go it 18.00 and 14.00 kid
Our July 2017 outdoor wedding ceremony in The Hedge Garden was absolutely stunning!!
Our coordinator Jennie P, has been phenomenal during the entire planning process! Jennie welcomed us on our wedding day as well! Jennie was prompt and very responsive to emails! It was an absolute pleasure having her as our coordinator.
The Hedge Garden is a gorgeous setting for an outdoor ceremony! It was beautiful and perfect. We had plenty of time within our rental timeframe. White ceremony wooden chairs were beautiful and Morton Arb takes care of their setup and take away.
The Morton Arboretum is gorgeous and so well maintained!! Staff is very friendly and courteous.
All of my questions and requests were listened to and respected for our ceremony!
Thank you so much Jennie P!!
Roxana and Dan
Attended a conference at the Thornhill Education Center. It was a great venue and a great conference. I would definitely attended another at Morton Arboretum.
Beautiful. Some parts are more lush than others; in the winter some parts are somewhat bare. As with most state parks around Chicago, you do hear cars in all directions
Plenty of activities for the kids and entertainingly for me
The childrens garden is a nice place to enjoy the outdoors with toddlers and preschoolers.
Beautiful place, but gets very crowded during special events.
The entire Arboretum is beautiful and well worth visiting. The trolley tour is worth twice the cost, don't hesitate to pay for this tour. The guide/driver/narrator has an encyclopedic knowledge and presents it in a fun and entertaining way. Anytime is a good time to visit!
We have loved the trolls and are sad they will be moving on. We look forward to the new art installs in the summer!
A beautiful little escape and something different to do when you're bored and have a few hours to spend. Also came here for Tree Lights for the first time in 2017 and it was incredible. Will definitely return in 2018.
Awesome place to visit. Love the garden area for the kids and the trolls were very cool to see.
Beautiful and educational park with lots for the family to see and touch. A little expensive so plan your day well.
Became a member this past summer after moving to lisle. The Morton Arboretum is beautiful. They always have something new to check out, from lego exhibits, to ale tastings, to the illumination which starts soon. Great way to spend an afternoon with family and friends.
One of my favorite hide outs in the burbs both during the sunny times of the year and when its cold. Illumination nights are the best you can ask for.
One of the only natural refuges in the Chicagoland area, the Morton Arboretum is an oasis of open green space with lots to admire as you take a stroll or picnic within their beautifully manicured forests. Be prepared for crowds in warmer months, especially if there is a global pandemic underway. If you're looking for a quieter portion of the Arboretum, the Western portion is a favorite among readers and others seeking solitude in nature.
We chose a perfect day for visiting. Our family of 6 were all so pleased with all the gardens had to offer. Worth an entire day, or even a weekend.
Great natural arboretum with lots of fun learning activities for kids
Great place to learn something new or to simply slip away for awhile
Nice place to spend the afternoon. Entrance fee a bit pricey.
Go see the trolls! Such a beautiful and fun place to bring fam and friends!Great place to bring kids!
I always enjoy my adventures at the Arboretum! The Fall display of pumpkins, gourds and plants is a particular favorite.
Great park. Sad people don't and can't follow simple directions.
A great place to spend an afternoon with your loved ones.
A wonderful place to spend the afternoon walking and enjoying nature. They also host a wide variety of fun events.
A beautiful place to spend an unseasonably warm winter day.
Had a great time at the Illumination event. Very well done and organized!
Always a ton of fun. The kids I nanny for love it, and even just going by myself to walk around is awesome and incredibly relaxing.
Trees, shrubs, and for the time being, trolls. Peaceful despite being crowded on weekends.
Awesome place to visit. Great children's area with a couple areas for kids to burn off some energy. A couple rope bridges. A place for the to cool off their feet. The main area has several ponds and walking paths. Bring the bikes because you can bike just about everywhere. Everything is very well labeled so you can see what trees are what. 2018 - the great Troll Hunt. Had a blast seeing the awesome Trolls ...
Too expensive
Overall a good experience
The Christmas lights were absolutely beautiful. Please go.
Amazing collection. Spring and late summer are my favorite times here. Great place for a walk/run/ride.
The access loops turn into an exhaust choking parking lot during the autumn colors with people taking pictures through their car windows.
Seasonal events and tons of activities for kiddos. educational and fun with amazing footpaths
This is a beautiful place for hiking, photography and more.
It's is a perfect place to relish nature's beauty and wealth in all its dimensions....there are alot of ongoing workshops for kids as well as adults during the fall season and near halloween.....also it a home to wide variety of insects and birds and trees and everything else that can be thought of as a natural attraction....one can actually take a glimpse of the vibrant colours of nature specially during the fall season....
Check out their new Ogre exhibit! Makes for great photos.
We came for the Troll hunt. We had a blast. Awesome experience. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and water bottle.
Lovely place to wander and enjoy nature. There are a variety of trails so you can spend as much or as little time here and get a wonderful experience. Photographers this is a great spot to get trees, flowers and birds. The Illumination during December is impressive. Bundle up and enjoy walking through a mile long walking tour through the trees. As a side note, the cafe offers a floor to ceiling view of the lake and has a delicious menu.
We love the Morton Arboretum all year long, such a wonderful place to take your family. Illumination especially is an event our family truly looks forward to every year!
I recently was married at the Arboretum, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about them. From the catering to organizing the venue, the Arboretum is a well-oiled machine that knows how to throw an amazing party. Elana with the catering side of the arboretum is the best - she is so accommodating and always quickly responded to any questions I had. On the venue side, Dana is so organized and really knows how to keep the wedding planning process on track. Dana also was great to bounce ideas off of during the planning process. From valet service to uplighting, she had suggestions for everything! With the gorgeous grounds, the beyond attentive wait staff, delicious food, and organized planners, the Arboretum was definitely the best choice for us to hold our wedding!
Fantastic high tech light display. The breathing forest is the star of the show.
The lights were nice, they have station were you can buy hot chocolate. I recommend seeing the lights.
A lovely way to spend an afternoon in the western Chicago suburbs. Lots of green grass, trees, and flowers with temporary installations like trolls and Lego sculptures. The children's area is well developed and easy for kids to spend a couple hours in.
Great place for the whole family. You can enjoy a bike ride, a long walk, a quick run or just side down and enjoy the view. This place also have a restaurant where you can have lunch or just a quick snack.
It was worth braving a windy day to experience the gorgeous Autumn foliage! It was a special event where dogs were allowed in, and we had a blast! I'm looking forward to attending Illumination this year after such a memorable visit. Highly recommend the troll hunt to those looking for a good hiking experience!
Very active large expansive outdoor gardens. Encourage every family to look at the lineup of things they program here. Fall activities very popular including the maze. A gem.
Gorgeous light installation for the holidays. Very cold to walk so bundle up tight.
We just scratched the surface of the extensive trail system. So beautiful.
Great place for kids. Price is a bit high. Not ideal for a nature walk, but interesting for scientific purposes. Their events are neat, but not a great value.
A fun experience for children and adults. The Troll exhibition is incredible.
A beautiful arboretum that is larger than one would expect. Many different trees and plants from both the US and around the world. Very nice facilities with good parking. Ideal for both drive throughs and hikes. Many places to park and walk around. Definitely coming back!
