Great relaxing place to walk and be one with nature.

Fun for kids and adults, fresh air and quite walks.

We all had a great experience, starting with the wedding in the Fragrance Garden through dinner and beyond. Only complaint was we weren't allowed to take our leftovers !

We went there last year in the fall. A very beautiful park in that season. Beautiful memories. Loved it.

Beautiful place to spend the day. You can get lost wandering around in there.

They have the most wonderful children's garden. Calling it a garden does not do this area justice. There are a lot things and places for the kids to explore here. Slides, running water to splash it, small houses to explore, surrounded by beautiful nature. My family and I will be coming here every weekend and I guarantee you we will not get bored. P.S. The children's garden is a very small part of this amazing place.

Great tree zoo. Kinda pricey at $14 per person, though that includes parking. Good for a picnic date every so often.

Always Amazing!

It s very expensive at $15 per person (the Chicago Botanic Garden is only $6 per car and nearby Cantigny Park is $10 per car). There is little to see that you cannot enjoy for free by walking around any of the many surrounding forest preserves.

It isn't Fall without a trip to see their amazing tree collection decked out in nature's splendor. The trolls hiding among, and protecting, the forest are enough of a reason to go. The Girl Scouts usually have interesting scare crows. I enjoy the homemade glass pumpkin too.

You can take an easy stroll on the paved path around the lake, or do miles of wood chipped paths that are well marked. Or, like I do, take your bike on the paved roads anytime. And I do enjoy their great tasting coffee. Lunch and snacks are fresh and tasty. You can pack a picnic or enjoy the lake view from their vast cafeteria selections and eat in the dining room. It is nice all seasons of the year, and I go often. The scenery is always changing.

HIGHLY recommend the light show. Such a great place to walk in the summer, bike in the spring, and drink hot cider while looking at the trees dance with light during the holiday season.

If you are ever looking to just be one with nature this is the place to go!

This place is like nothing else I've been to. It has miles of walking trails and tons of things to see. The kids area is so big you can spend the whole day there and the kids will still not see everything. Bring your own food and beer though as it is quite pricey. Strollers are a must even to get to the entrance from the parking lots is a nice walk. They had dog days which I want to try to make and lots of fun activities.

Was visiting my brother and saw free concert and doggie day. Really fun. When I used to live in Illinois
, I took my kids there all the time

Excellent staff. Impressive exhibits! I brought my granddaughters there to see the trolls and they were crazy busy because unbeknownst to me it was Dog Day too... but every single staff person was helpful, kind and professional. And the trolls were amazing to see!

I can't wait to go back!
The troll hunt is so much fun, I plan on visiting again with family. There is something here for everyone to enjoy.

We always like to go for a walk in nature, there are activities all year around

If not for the fee, I would make the trip out every weekend. Waking through the forests, you can feel like you're stepping back in time when there were no buildings visible beyond the trees. I hope to have my wedding here, because it's such a beautiful natural oasis in an otherwise concrete jungle.

It is most pleasant experience to walk around Morton. Better to arrive early on the weekend, it get's busy

Great place to see and spend time in nature. The staff really loves their work and takes pride in making the grounds as good as they can.

Beautiful peaceful and relaxing. Great for a quick visit, a picnic, or spend the entire day. (Cafe & restaurant on site.) So much to see and they have special events so make sure to check the calender.

Love coming here in all seasons. Can t wait for the leaves to turn

Beautiful scenery, and offers great educational programs. Great way to spend an entire day in nature. Good parking. Snacks and drinks are available indoors. Large, kid-friendly play area. Guided, tram tours.

My family loves this place. Both my brothers family and my sisters family always get memberships every year. I was just there a few weeks ago for my nephews birthday and it's a great place to bring kids. Especially active kids. They have a really big children's garden which has a lot of different jungle gym things to climb on. Tree houses and more. There is a corn maze. Bike paths and rentals. And right now there's a troll hunt! Giant trolls are all around the place to find and enjoy!

Terrific place to walk, ride, relax, picnic, hike and enjoy nature. Nicely kept with easily marked paths throughout. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

They put a lot of into the light display. It was 18 dollars per person and 10 dollars for kids. We were there with family so that made nice for us to share.

1700 Acres and 9 miles of Scenic Drive for your enjoyment, I was there late in the day and it was very peaceful and relaxing.

Live music, food, and drinks! What more can you ask for on a Wednesday evening.

No need to head to Chicago. This massive park is filled with all kinds of nature- and family-friendly activities year-round.

Visited the winter light show at the Morton Arboretum. A superb show that takes about 1 hour to walk round . The pathway is very easy to follow and well laid out with hot drink booths (payable locally) and fire pits so you can get warmed as you walk around. Booking in advance is essential as this event is so popular. There is a large shop with both regular and seasonal items. Plenty of helpful staff and very friendly volunteers.

The light show was fabulous. Not just a super abundance of lights but projection features, great music and fields of giant ornaments. I loved it.

Trails for walking, bike riding or even driving your car through. They offer classes and seminars as well.

A wonderful place to escape the coronavirus pandemic for half a day.

As I was visiting Chicago on a visit to my family, we drove to the Morton Arboretum just before Christmas to view the decorations and lights.
Very busy for obvious reasons the lights were everywhere and looked spectacular especially those which were projected over the frozen lake. At this time of year it is very busy so get online and book a time

Wonderful arboretum. The trolls are so fun. Full moon tram tour was informative and beautiful.

Light show seems good for kids but lacking much for $20 entrance fee.

We go to the Arboretum very often, especially in Spring and Summer. They ha e lot of activities for kids and adults throughout the year. Their cafe is good too.

The grounds are pristinely manicured and I forgot how sprawled out the arboretum is. The troll hunt was great and should stay around even longer.

What a beautiful evening. The lights were amazing and never seen such magic. The event was well organized and had a great time with the family.

Illumination: Tree Lights is amazing!! The trees are the real stars of "the show", and their natural beauty is enhanced with gorgeous light displays. It's spectacular! #illumination

First time seeing their Illumination festivities. You have to see it in person to really understand just how amazing it is. Well worth it.

Put 13,000 steps on my Fitbit to see the trolls. Had a great time walking among the beautiful trees. Pack a lunch though because eating there is pretty expensive

Love the trolls at the Morton Arboretum. It was an amazing day at the park and the exhibition only adds to the fun. A must see in the Chicagoland area

Well worth the membership for families. So much to explore! The troll hunt is highly recommened however I do wish they didnt have fences and flags around them... The Children's Garden has recently reopened and is a great space for families.

Nice place to relax. You can have good walk and enjoy some sesonal exhibition. A little bit overpriced but if you like easy hiking that place is great. It also have playground for kids and great maze.

It was interesting. The Trolls are a work of art. Everyone was enthusiastic that worked for them

I have lived in greater Chicagoland my entire life and had yet to visit. This weekend was an wine and arts walk which was really nice. Lots of artists and we even took part in the maze. Family friendly fun.

We love both the food and the small retail store, a store filled with charming items and books all assembled to inform and reflect the beauty and mystery of the environment.

It was stunning, prepare to walk alot you can drive from one lot to another I order to explore, gorgeous place family friendly great for anyone really. The cafe which has food there is pretty great too.

Excellent light show and vibe during holidays. Our second visit for the light show with kids. Loved the trail this time. Some areas could use some path lighting as some strollers and seniors were having hard time. Good concessions and fireplaces along the way. Get ready to make s mores while sipping cider with rum.
