Always a great place for a few hours or the day. Many functions corporate and private have been extremely well done.

The grounds are extensive & full of any variety of plants that you can think of.

This place has changed dramatically over the years. What was once a peaceful tree museum. Has very gradually transitioned to forest amusement park. Any one who wants to get out in to nature will be better served going to any of the many forest preserves all around the region as opposed to visiting here.

Has become over crowded on almost any given day, so much so stands of trees had to be removed to accommodate the parking for the spandex clad bicyclists to park their gigantic suvs.

Joy Morton would be disappointed to see what his legacy has become.

Great place to spend an afternoon. Plenty of hiking trails. Beautiful scenery. Educational programs.

Wow, what a beautiful place. I met my wife here almost 5 years ago and have been continuing to make the trip out here at least once or twice a year since. It's enjoyable to see nature in all the various seasons and the Arboretum staff hosts a slew of events throughout the year to make each visit unique. There are also many runs that take place on the grounds as well as many 'tasting' events that happen that are worth getting a membership for. Highly highly recommended.

Great fall colors. Also a great place for a run. It's a bit pricey for a family if you don't have a membership.

This is such a sweet, calming place to enjoy a couple hours with the fam. You have the option to bike, walk, or even drive to different sections of the arboretum. Always bring bug spray and sunscreen.

Wear your mask. There will be moments when you are within 6 ft of passerbys when passing each other on a more narrow path.

The trolls are incredible as well.

Finally, keep in mind that a membership to Morton Arboretum will also gain you free parking at Chicago Botanical Gardens which is normally $25. If you go 3 total times a year to either spot, you'll break even. Plus, once you're a member, you might find yourself going more and more often especially when covid ends and some of the regular festivities and events start back up again.

Morton is absolutely beautiful! They regularly have new events or special displays. The Christmas lights event is incredible. The troll hunt is delightful!!! The various older buildings are stunning. Three hedge maze is fun. It's a wonderful place to spend a free afternoon!

Amazing learning experience overall.. Beautiful layout and wonderful outdoor experience.

Went for the Illumination Show. The lighting was amazing. The only thing I would change is the music. It wasn't quite what I expected for the Holidays

Overpriced. Would rather go to one of the many free forest preserves that abound the same area.

This place is giant! Children's garden is great for the little kids, but probably best for ones who can walk/run already. Cars can tour the whole grounds and bus tours available, walking paths all over the place and fun changing events/activities/exhibits (we saw the Lego statues). Bike rental is definitely what we plan for next time, electric bike with a child trailer would be perfect to cover a lot of ground in short time.

This is the first time I've been here and I would highly recommend the troll hunt to anyone and everyone! It's so much fun! Your kids will enjoy it as well as you and your spouse and your family.

Magnificent collection of the best plants and trees anywhere in the midwest. Could spend hours every week here.

First visit and we had a great time. The troll hunt is definitely worth a stop!
