The lights were gorgeous and fun to take the kids to. We had a great time there. They had a shuttle bus to get you from the outer lots. It was a pleasant walk though without it.

Beautiful grounds to walk around. I recommend going deeper into the arboretum to find paths that aren't busy and you can really enjoy nature.
Amazing for hiking, places for kids and even a biking trail. Good place to learn about nature too. I suggest go on a cool day and wear boots.
Quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Great time to be had by yourself or with family.
Great place for a walk though bit expensive without membership.
First the trolls!
Then Illumination!
Interactive light displays and some set to music.
Keep the attractions coming!
Beautiful grounds. New facilities. A special treat for any outdoor or indoor event.
Performances at Asian Festival we're great. Sumo wrestling as well!
Good variety of easy trails. It was also pretty empty on a Tuesday.
Be aware of some of the one-way trails.
Stellar place. Had a wonderful walk, though it was smoking hot on Saturday. Nature, restaurant, gift shop, plenty of parking. If the signage was better, it would have gotten a 5 star. All employees were friendly, even if no one could tell us if there were any roses in bloom anywhere :( Will definitely go back again. Love the open spaces.
You like trees? This place has all the trees you'd ever need to see
Beautiful place, to walk and relax with the landscapes. The decoration of lights this season is wonderful.
Very very nice Place ! I love this place ! Nice nature and troll !
I have a membership and it has already paid for itself! There are many paths you can take, very well maintained, and best of all is the children's garden. There are many things for the kiddos to do. My only complaint is how early the children's garden closes on most days.
Beautiful! There were Lego art which was pretty neat experience.
It's a pretty and peaceful place to spend an afternoon in.
People directing where we could park which was so helpful. Beautiful lights also!
We really enjoyed Illumination here during the Holiday Season
Beautiful fall foliage, easy walkable trails...worth seeing before the leaves are all gone.
Wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors. Illumination was wonderful! Some changes to the 2018 show. Great.
You must experience the tree illumination now being presented nightly.
The landscaping is gorgeous and it's just a great place to spend a weekend morning or afternoon
Hosted a bridal shower amongst all the chaos. The staff was wonderful. The food was too notch. The room was stunning. Truly, it was perfect.
I was introduced here by my family as a child. Now I have been back many times since. I have 2 more visits planned this year: the European festival next week, then again in the middle of October to catch the famous fall foliage. Wonderful arboretum any season of the year!
Torn and saddened, Took my family on Labor day it was bust though not over crowed. We went to children's area and every thing was dirty. The interactive large flowers had not been washed or sanitized in days if not weeks. The same seemed to be for all the play areas.
We went into the cafe area and people were sitting at dirty tables, I went to get an employee to clean mine and no less than 6 other tables asked her to clean theirs too. That's gross.
My family really enjoyed Illumination at the Arboretum - so cool and creative! I've also visited in the summer. It's a nice get away from suburbia, when you don't want to drive further for a large state park. The drawback is the price though... A little steep for my budget.
Great place to get away from the noise and congestion of the day. Walking trails, biking and running are common distractions here. Lots of places to just sit and relax.
One of my favorite places in Chicago suburbs. Great for hiking, for children and for the promotion of trees and nature!
Went to the Wine and Art festival. Great event and the setting is gorgeous. Spent several hours enjoying what the Arboretum has to offer. Well worth a visit to enjoy nature and the events they have every week all year.
Attending the glass pumpkin festival they are glass artwork. Beautiful pieces that qill be sold on friday after 1 pm. Proceedes will go to morton arboretum
We were here for the Halloween hand blown glass pumpkins, it was a terrific day
Got in late and it was pretty chilly.
But it was very pretty, however I mostly stayed in our vehicle. Seems like a nice option for those coming from Chicago.
We went on a Monday to avoid the crowds. And we got there early. Good move. Beautiful place. Wear good shoes unless you plan to take the tram. Admission is a bit steep ($15 for adults). Admission is $5 less on Wednesdays.
A great place in the suburbs for nature lovers. Lots to explore including vast forests, lakes, and small rolling hills. They have many special events throughout the year as well if hiking and trees aren't your thing. The visitor center has a lot of info, a souvenir shop, and restaurant so you can easily make a day out of your trip.
Conservation at its best will love to visit it again heaven on earth
Had a great time at illumination! Bundle up and enjoy
Came here for a company sponsored picnic, had an excellent time. Beautiful gardens and some areas for kids.
What a beautiful place!! Absolutely huge, stunning views, and a nice play space (also big!) For the kiddos. And the Trolls they have for 2019 are just too cool
Best place to escape crowded Naperville whether you live in the area or visiting...live to be there in fall.
I took someone on a date on the 2nd to morton for your asian festival event. It starts at 6 and we came in at 6:30pm. We wasted an hour walking around looking for the food trucks that was supposed to be there. After not being able to find the Korean or chinese stuff. We both left. We came without dinner thinking we would be able to try different things. After wasting our time we went back to Bob cha truck. Where it was supposed to be korean food. However that wasn't the case. They sold Mexican food. I cant help but noticed how disorganized this event was. I personally could've done a better job at organizing this event. I feel like this was a waste of time and money. I have never been so disappointed in morton arboretum. There is no word for it. The lantern event was pretty cool but what was the point of it? The tent selling lantern was just selling lanterns and the lady just screamed out "$10! You have 5 minutes to design your lantern!" She said that they were shipping them out in 5 minutes. Which was a lie. Thankfully I am chinese and know what the lanterns are for. If you charge $15 per person for admission and $10 for the lantern. Dont you think you should provide something that explains what is happening and why?
We went from there to watch the sumo event. Then went to korean area where it was empty. Then the picnic/ chinese Japanese area where it looked abandoned. Back to the drummers. When we came all the way back around. The lanterns were still not ready. We left. Very disappointed and starving. Once we left. We realized most restaurants were closing too. Needless to say. You failed to provide the service promised and pretty much ruined our date.
This was my complaint email. Morton not only didnt respond. I called to talk to someone and their response was there was another truck. Even though there wasn't. They said there was a full service restuarant in there too. Completely missing the point. We cleaned to try different types of food from the trucks that was supposed to be there. The whole point of going to an asian festival. All I wanted was my admission tickets refunded. Is that too much to ask? Considering how badly it was planned? It was even advertised on the radio..
Went for Illumination. It was magical. Will go again next year!
Great place for families to walk and go Troll hunting. Wear walking shoes.
My friend and I were in the area for a book signing. She saw this place online and we love making random stops on our day trips. This park did not disappoint! We didn't have nearly as much time as we would have liked here though. So we drove around the park rather than walking. We stopped to see some of the closer trolls. They were so neat. Great for kids, biking, walking, nature, fun. We hope to return soon with the kids!
Beautiful place and a lovely walk but Trolls are to far apart for children when walking!
I'm a member here. Love this place. Illumination is so cool. Kids love it. Very well organized.
Beautiful, sunny day. 22 degrees means it's late fall. The Morton Arboretum is great any time of year!
My daughter and I loved finding the trolls and exploring the arboretum!
Bike, cross country ski, bike, bird, see special exhibits. Tons to do here with beautiful views.
The Morton Arboretum is a beautiful and inexpensive way to spend a day outdoors!
We went to a therapy walk. For me it was too slow paced and beyond someone who is already an outdoor person. We drove around and saw some trolls after
Great place to visit with kids. The holiday lights are amazing.
Nature is beautiful, this place brings a lot of nice plants together, especially flower trees.
They have a lot of events almost every week.. last week it was destination asia festival. Next week it's going to be biking.. it brings the locals together.
It is a very peaceful setting with a lot of Zen locations. I absolutely love it here
So well-maintained and polite staff. We had a great time at the Illumination event as well.
Incredible place to relax and enjoy nature. The staff are friendly, and the food service bar has delicious and affordable options. Plan your day wisely, this park goes on forever!
For a leisurely day, go to the Morton Arboretum! So many of the plantings are tagged with the names of the plants and trees. Lovely and calm way to spend a day in nature.
We went on a tram ride (extra charge) throughout the East side with an elderly person in our group. Staff was helpful with accommodating her walker, and assisting her on and off the tram.
We went to see the Christmas light show. I liked it. I would like to go back next year. The weather wasn't too cold. A lot of children there. Of course that's ok with me. It is sort of a long walk if ur children are walking. Consider that if ur taking small children. Take a stroller.
A wonderful, peaceful place to reconnect with nature.
One of the most lovely spots in the Chicago area. If it's your first visit, be sure to venture away from the main visitors center. As lovely as it is (including a great cafe), the best parts of the Arboretum are more remote. Just pick a trail and find them!
Great hikes thru natural areas and wonderful views of human created beauty.
I can't describe how much I love this place. If you are nature lover like me, this is right place for you. The place is huge, filled with beautiful woods and activities for whole family to enjoy.
Maybe the best thing about the Arboretum is the children's garden area with a topiary maze and many many places to climb on and explore. If you're not going with kids, and you're driving, you might feel ripped off and underwhelmed -- there are nice trees and a pond, and I saw a coyote there once, but you'd be forgiven for wondering, "Is this it?" Out-of-town travellers would be better advised to go to the Botanic Garden. The Arboretum would also be super nice to bike in.
Beautiful gardens in suburban Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Cost five dollar a car if not a member of the arb.
Had a great time at the fall festival. Then my wife bought four glass pumpkins. :(
Went there most recently for Dog day. It was a lot of fun and my pup really enjoyed it. Good vendors and just a great day for walking the dog
If you haven't been there, what are you waiting for?
Loved the light show this year as always but previous years were better.
