Very beautiful. Great place to go while visiting family
*The best place to go for some Christmas lights with real trees.
* Is a family friendly place.
* The staff is very helpful and respectful.
* Great place for some family pictures or engagement shoot.
Beautiful place with a very nice staff. All of the special events that I have gone to have also been wonderful.
Huge huge place. I don't think a day is enough if you're planning to walk the whole area. Plus, if you're a BoA Card holder, you get to get in free every 1st week of the month!
Beautiful place to go for a short walk or a day's worth of exploration. The different parts of the arboretum are sure to keep you busy and satisfied. The grounds are very well kept and beautiful. The trolls are great fun to discover and seek out. The admission is not outrageous but should definitely be taken into consideration if you're bringing a large group. The maze near the gift shop is amusing for kids and adults.
Vast piece of green, well maintained. One of the piece of woods in Illinois to walk with your friends or your family. So much peaceful, tress is all you can see, so refreshing.
15$/ adult and 10$/ adult on Wednesdays only.
This is one of my most favorite places to visit. The variety of trees are amazing. It is relaxing to take a short walk around the pond. The food from the cafe is very tasty and vegetarian meals are available as well. Although the cafe is currently closed due to the virus, but they have other options to choose food from.Their shop has some very unique gifts as well. Also because of the virus you do have to check in before you visit, but you feel very safe here.
Really loved the light show for the holiday season.
How many trolls can you find? You will have a lot of fun.
Beautiful place to get lost in the woods, but still be close enough to find your way out. Went on dog day and had a blast, hundreds of other dogs out there, but the place is so big you don't ever feel crowded.
Went for the troll hunt and had so much fun! Beautiful space any time of year!
We really enjoyed seeing the trolls in the summer and can't wait for the next exhibit.
The winter light show was fun, yet cold. Luckily there was "adult" hot chocolate, as it was extremely cold. The breathing trees are really cool, and the fire pits help keep you warm on the journey. Really just a cool place to visit and see trees in there natural habitat.
Beautiful place.... great family destination... great photography location...
Beautiful in all seasons. The serenity and peace of this place always lift my spirit.
Nice place but i didn t see a reason to pay money and go there. There are so many amazing national parks&free conservatories around the city which as as much as/more beautiful.
My kids and I loved everything about our trip the other day. We went for the troll hunt.
Good outdoor activity after visiting the city for a few days. Neat Troll Hunt with a ton of information about trees for those that want to know.
The wonderfully thought out exhibits, origami, this tear. The wonderful paths; walking or biking, among the great scenery and at the same time learning about all the wonderful species of trees, etc...Great family fun. Highly recommended.
A beautiful place with many fascinating trees to see. Take the walking trail. Driving doesn't give the experience
PLEASE go see the holiday light show! Amazing doesn't even cover it. You will NOT be disappointed.
Very well kept. Beautiful trees, flowers. Saw a few trolls and Lego sculptures this time. Also visited the children's section - lots to do and no area was particularly crowded (on Friday prior to labor day). Good food (seems little pricey, maybe about a buck extra a person to eating some place like Chili's). Clean bathrooms.
Great place to run, with brief climbs and long curves among trees and open areas to entice the eye. Road is in good shape - run against the (occasional, slow-moving) traffic for unhampered enjoyment. I even run barefoot in the summer, only a few brief stretches of rougher pavement to contend with. Only wish is that there were more birds around ...
Love being able to drive through to see the magnificent collection of trees. I was able to drive my 96 year old Mother through and she loved it. The tram ride through is an excellent orientation. And wonderful activities and special displays throughout the year. Worth a membership to fully enjoy all that is offered.
Dazzling colors as you enjoy a casual walk in the woods. A great nature fix
Just so beautiful and reasonably priced for A family. I would love to see A solar panel section. Lots of cool surprises along the way.
Was there for a wedding and the views were breathtaking. This place has so much to offer I will be back to tour the grounds. From a vendors perspective, they certainly have a handle on hosting events and I would strongly encourage anyone that is looking at venues to consider The Morton Arboretum as a viable option. The pictures taken of the wedding party were one of a kind. I will be back!
Can get lost here. Lots of hiking and natural beauty to be had.
Lovely Oasis in the middle of suburbia. Nice lakeside self serve cafeteria.......but the prices are exorbitant. My elderly mother who has always been involved at the arboretum says she can no longer afford to go because entrance fees are too high. That made me sad because she raised us in those lovely woods and taught us about the natural world there.
The troll hunt is a great way to get in a good hike while enjoying the craftsmanship of the giant trolls. Fun for all.
Great outdoor events, good facilities for just about any occasion!
Come here for Pokemongo nest. Cost $14 each to enter.
Fantastic nature preserve, very well kept and has trees from about ever part of the world.
Wonderful gem in the middle of suburbia. Make sure to see the Thornridge side and the fascinating history. Would take all day to see it right.
Went to enjoy a lovely Labor Day with my wife and young daughter. What a lovely time we had! The Lego exhibit was very nice and unexpected. We also home a trail we'd not done before. All in all a great day!
Don't try to walk the whole thing, we just used our car as a place for all our stuff and moved it from place to place. Would be wonderful for a picnic and other stuff. Beautiful relaxing place.
We planned on going as a family and we did a search on Google if dogs are allowed and the search came back with rules as to what you need to do if you bring your dog to the Arboretum there is a very small one line deal on their website that says November something it should be written in large bold letters, so the answer to my Google question should be NO dogs are not allowed, dogs are only allowed on special days, maybe even repeated through their instructions in case someone is just skimming the page. Regardless it ruined our day that we were planning on spending together as a family since I had to leave.
Beautiful place. Performed at a wedding and their staff was top notch.
Amazing place to visit and walk around; when we were there last we caught a surprise snow!
We went at Christmas time for the Illuminations and it was beautiful!
Beautiful display of lights. More like a family or friends gathering place. Overall it was nice to walk around with hot chocolate I'm hands. There are tents with goodies. Just dress warm, it does get very cold.
This is a national treasure. Beautiful walking and driving trails. Wish I had a few days exploring all the trees and bushes, many with identifying signs. Great place for bird watching, as well. Lovely in any season. Nice gift shop, too.
Incredible grounds, friendly staff. Service is rather slow and slightly high priced. Overall very worth it!
Beautiful place, wish there was a tour guide and more things to do.
I remember Illuminations as having more shows and lights, being better in past years....
Illumination is always worth visiting in the winter!
Believe it or not, no matter what the season, there is plenty to do and see at the Morton Arboretum. If you become a member which is very reasonable, you have access to membership only educational classes and special access to the annual plant sale. You also get tons of information on special events at the Arboretum.
Came here for Illumination. Always a great time! Gorgeous lights, not too crowded, great family fun!
I think it is kind of expensive to visit here.. 15/person.. and it was crowded on 8/11..
The wait for cross country skis was about an hour, but we had a really good time. It was nice to have a place to go and enjoy the winter scenery
Love this place! We've been members for years, and I've been coming with my family since I was a little kid. My kids love the children's garden and hedge maze. Great spaces for walking and enjoying nature and exploring. This/last year's Troll Hunt have been a lot of fun. We always enjoy Halloween and holiday Illumination experiences. Camping in Childrens garden was a great way to expose our young son to camping. Many other events throughout the year for families and nature lovers.
Love the Illumination tree lights event! They have a really nice gift shop and big restrooms in the visitor center. Wish they had restrooms set up throughout the park during events though.
We love going to the Arboretum. Perfect for a family outing.
Great place to lose that down feeling. You can rent a bike or bring your own. Drive your car to see the tree's and flowers throughout the park. There are also many trails that you can walk. The visitors center is a great place to get souvenirs and a place to grab a bite to eat.
Awesome experience in the arboretum with the light show. Great way to end the year!
Really cool and imaginative display of light choreography
Fantastic place for kids. Don't miss the troll hunt
Can't wait to go back in the summer
Springtime is a lovely time to visit the arboretum lots of things in bloom.
